I’m happy for them as well, as a hawk supporter it sucks a bit as they take the title of winning the Grand Final being minor premiers as well (Hawks had it at 2013) so sucks there and now they won same Grand Finals amount as Hawks so a bit mad but overall idc tbh.

@J G Soccer: beloved by lady boys the world over.

    • @OldFossil
      @OldFossil 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@J G Soccer is a European game. Of course it is going to be one of the most popular sports if most of the countries in the world were colonised and invaded by these Europeans. The cultures and sports of these nations were destroyed and millions of people were killed to make way for the European culture and it’s game, not such a “beautiful game” now isn’t it.
Australian Football was a game originally invented by our First Nation’s people which was called “Marn Grook”. Eventually the game would be noticed by the Europeans settlers and it would be shaped into the beautiful game that it is today.
If soccer was really that powerful as you thought it was, it would’ve already been the number one sport long ago in the 1800’s-1900’s. However the Australian people didn’t want to follow the European game of football, why would they want to if the Australian game of football was more exciting, action packed and not overly repetitive (unlike soccer).
Soccer theoretically should have been number 1 long ago, besides the nation who invaded and colonised the Great Southern Land invented the bloody game. But the power of Australian Football withstood the European game due to the uniqueness of the sport and the excitement that it attracted from the Australian public. If you ask me, I find it pretty embarrassing that the nation who invented soccer couldn’t make the sport the number one game in it’s own colony!
Fast forward to today, Australian Football is at the best it has been in its lifetime in terms of popularity across Australia. Did you know that 1 in every 23 Australians are a member of an AFL club? Meanwhile, the A-League gets less supporters to its games than the NRL and the national soccer team has only played in one World Cup Semi Final in it’s 100 history. Soccer may be the number 1 participated sport in Australia, however that is because the other sports that are available to play in Australia are more physical and demanding. Rugby is a very physical sport where only the strongest and better body types can play, Australian Football is not as physical but requires more stamina and skill which can be tough for new players who haven’t played the sport as a kid/teenager.
I remember hearing that people thought that soccer was going to be the number one sport in the 80’s. That never happened. You’re claiming that soccer is going to be number one in 2050? Have a look at your sport’s history in Australia bud. The national team is an embarrassment, the A-League lacks fans, the sport is just too simple and boring compared to AFL.
Don’t try persuade me that the Socceroos will do better in the future, they won’t. Academies and “professional” regional soccer clubs in Australia cost way too bloody much anyways. The talent pool is only limited to the rich. Most of the most famous soccer players came from slums, poor neighbourhoods or some average neighbourhood. The only players you see coming from rich households are the ones who are the sons of famous soccer players. Australia’s real soccer talent is being blocked from being allowed to show off their skills to the nation’s top teams and selectors because of their socioeconomic status. Why should people try to become soccer players if it’s too bloody expensive to even try to become one? It would be much cheaper to become an AFL player or an Olympian.
Soccer doesn’t deserve to be Australia’s number one sport and it never will. Australian Football has a proud history in Australia that soccer can’t compare to. It’s a rich man’s sport in Australia and if you’re not willing to pay the big bucks just to have a shot, you’ll never make it anywhere in soccer in Australia.
To answer your spam, soccer will never become number 1 in Australia. It simply doesn’t deserve to. AFL is a game for everyone and does not discriminate against your socioeconomic status and is an open playing field for those who have the skills and determination to become a true AFL professional.
You have truly wasted 10 years of comment spamming. Delete your spam accounts before you waste more years of your life defending a losing battle Jayden Loader

As a supporter who watched games in early 80's under Carl and then Ron and was at Whitten Oval when we lost by a point and then in 1987 the Preliminary Final, sitting their depressed after the siren. Then in 1988 watching as our side capitulated in the run to the finals, watched as we lost to Footscray in Round 20 or 21 at MCG.
i have listened and watched them, remember 1976 and missing finals just. The come from behind win against Essendon at Windy Hill.
But this is special, i have seen the lows but i am lapping it up at the moment as a fifty six old. LIke you Caden i was watching this yelling my HEAD OFF!!!!!

I'm a hawks fan and honestly, I celebrated louder than Caden did. I despise the dogs so that win meant everything. I feel for the dees fans, not sure what it's like to suffer the way they did, but I felt so good for them. They've built something incredible that I think will stay for years. I've seen greatness and this is just the start for the dees. Their best is yet to come I reckon.

Watching this brought back all the roller coaster of emotions I went through during the game as I saw them all repeated on your face and in your body language. I had my lovely wife sitting next to me watching and she kept looking at me and smiling as I fell into a fatalistic depression during that third quarter as our game fell apart and we dropped 19 points behind. She never lost belief that the team would come back and win. I'm guessing that was your dad watching with you and he looks almost my vintage. For me it's been 55 years of listening to or watching every game and having my mood for the week set by the result. Just 2 grand finals in that time for two massive losses. It's been a frustrating ride, with many disappointments and few happy memories, but this Premiership makes it all worthwhile. I suspect your dad would tell a similar story. Congrats to you both and thank you for this video which has stirred the emotions so perfectly. The best GF video I've seen by far.

I’m just happy we had another Cinderella story. Sick of Hawks and Richmond winning so many. So when Dogs won it in 16, Eagles in 18 and now the Demons. A great year for footy. Congrats. I imagine you’re feeling the same as I did in 2018 when my Eagles won it. Glad that the Demons didn’t take that loss in the prelim to heart and have managed to come back.

Well done mate, your team played great all year, big Max has been a great leader & as a Crows Supporter i am very happy for Simon Goodwin.. And it was good to see Neil Daniher get his flag before he goes after all he has done..
As a Central Districts supporter in SANFL it took us 37 yrs to win our first flag in 2000, saw my Dad get a tear in his eye.. Centrals have won 9 flags now so i hope you dont do that too hahaha.. Congrats..

Hey Cados, did you know the moment brayshaw kicked the goal, and the music started, the scored locked at 9-10-64, 1964, and they never looked back again. For all us Demon fans we’ve left 1964 behind us and never have to look back again too!💙❤️

It was an exciting, great game to watch not being a Dees or Bulldogs supporter. I'm glad the Dees won though, the fans that stuck with them for a lot of downs, hold your heads up high, good on yah.

i was upset when they lost their footing in the second but i knew it wasnt over, melbourne is the team that can lose their footing but come out at the next quarter and fix it, and if they dont do that, then the next, i just hoped that they could find their footing back again quickly, and that they did. love you deez
