@BasicBeachCommunity1 How did you find the UK? What is the country you call home now? 😁 Definitely, places like this are becoming a lot of people's escape from the false reality we all believe we need to live! No one NEEDS to live a hectic life. Thanks for stopping by and commenting
@@LifeAsWestwood I ended up in Swansea Wales and I really liked it actually I mean occasionally I got sick of the rain but it was beautiful and there was plenty to do plenty of hiking and all you needed in the cities even though I left back to the States ended up in California for another 20 years... I grew up traveling in my family's from a couple different countries the UK's good I don't I don't like big cities in general but I liked some of the smaller cities I visited such as York .
@@BasicBeachCommunity1ahhh yes.... the rain..... it's a different level of depression in the UK haha. Here, when it rains, there is a level of relief 😂
Good for you mate. You are bang on right. I moved to the US in 1990 and raised a family and left there 4 years ago. Should have left years ago but that's another story. I have been traveling the world ever since as a now 60 year old digital nomad. Everything you said you completely nailed it. I love England but I don't think I could live there again. I wish I had have raised my kids in South East Asia and not the US. Well done you. For what it's worth I'm proud of you mate. Stay the course you are on. I have an employee in Cagayan de Oro and next I am there maybe we can connect and say hello. Happy Days Ahead to you and your family and congrats on your new adventure.
Oh wow, awesome man, so you're here living in the Philippines to? You mentioned digital nomad, what is it that you personally do for income? It's always great to share methods, anything to keep us affording the country that we want to be in! Appreciate the kind words and thankful you're here. I saw you commented the other day, but the comment wasn't appearing, I only seen the email but I couldn't reply for some reason... tech eh?! Let me know if you're ever around, Mindanao/Davao
Very good vlog… you have a great disposition that there is always a way out… Between rent, food and utilities and insurance the average guy can not ever afford to retire in the USA… I am definitely looking at the Philippines, Malaysia, Panama, possibly the DR… to live free from the materialistic western world…. Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts… Wishing you success and happiness… Looking forward to seeing your home completed….
Thanks so much John, appreciate your kind words. I hope I've helped in some way shape or form 🙏 😌 positive thinking, and a leap of faith will get you your first steps towards a dream retirement for sure!
You are both lovely and very high vibe and I have subscribed. I am positive that, with a little bit of patience and some creativity, your channel will grow tremendously. I predict it!. Be blest and thrive. I look forward to more vlogs from you. 🎉
New SUB, I think it may be rather foolish to assume a government managed pension/retirement fund will be around for much longer. I'm personally not counting on that, you have got to make it on your own. Looking forward to a video explaining your ability to finance your lifestyle, especially since you are not the typical pensioner/retired type.
Hey, thanks for joining! Completely agree about the pensions, literally nothing is guaranteed, pensions certainly aren't! I'll be going over any income I generate in future vids to come, but for a quick answer, I've got a few businesses. I've had a commercial cleaning business in UK for almost 5 years but I'm closing that officially, it does still have a couple of clients (not much money per month though anymore). I've got an online competition website (fortunecomps.co.uk) and now also starting 1 more company that will provide lots of jobs to Filipinos but that's not setup yet! Those sources of income, amoungst others that I'll be testing the waters with, should be enough to at least keep us alive here lol.
philipines looks amazing...i lived in the UK as well 20 years ago...as a student...
I think lots moer people will join in places like this...

A small town called M'lang, North Cotabato. A busy little market town, far away from tourism
