Iirc, if you try and starve a pregnant sim to death, right before they're meant to die they'll pull out a chocolate bar and eat it, that is the only way I know of chocolate bars existing in the sims

I lose all this objects at the beginning because I deleted my sims 4 documents folder so I had to claim all again. Copy all the folders inside your sims 4 documents, not any of archives in the main folder as User settings Config, etc. Sorry if I cant explain very well. My english sucks

Lol, unlocked everything? Nope, they delayed the rollout in my country until the very last day which was only last week. People were repairing game, removing mods it was a whole debacle and even after the last day of the unannounced rollout some people were still having no popup/offer and I believe Maxis acknowledged a glitch. In regards to the nano bin - I would have preferred it was just tuned to a regular bin and not one that gave us money.

But I was just pointing out that there was a lack of communication from the team in regards to the event log in with it being 'staggered' and it caused a lot of people distress. Myself I was more annoyed by thinking my game was even more broken. I have the items downloaded from cc anyway but for the sake of using items on the gallery I'd prefer to have them in game.
If you can't make 2 min max to log in clam then exit? You don't even have to open a save game and play the game just open EA app open game home screen clam then exit game and your done. I did it a few times before going to sleep. If you are that busy you don't have time to watch youtube videos or comment on youtube. But clearly you do have that time so you could have had free stuff.

It will take more than two minutes just to boot up windows and open the EA launcher and then boot up Sims 4 to the loading screen. Then have to log out of everything again just to leave the house. Nor I am going to make it a priority to boot up my game computer after work when I don’t have time to play. Don’t compare two things that are not equal.
pretty sure yogurt melts were a random/accidental add in as i believe they’re from the infant update ? yogurt melts are typically for babies/toddlers because they’re a snack they can’t choke on … so it’s literally vending baby food. lmao
What's funny to me is that on the vending machine, there seem to be pictures of crisps and soft drinks (and maybe chocolate?) on the machine itself but somehow none of these can be bought from it. Small detail that sort of stood out to me.
You really only start seeing yogurt bites when you have toddlers in real life. It’s a common snack for babies that are weaning or toddlers. It’s freeze-dried, shelf stable blobs of yogurt that melt in your mouth.
When they first rolled out the login rewards they accidentally left entire set unlocked 🤣 Sadly they later patched it so you actually can’t access the items until you claim them as rewards…
I find these things to be a real slap in the face. I've played for years and spent hundreds of dollars on this damn game. I guess they don't think about simmers that are sick etc. I'm currently in a medical facility and therefore can't access my laptop so I have to miss out. Totally B.S. even for EA.
Satch, I have the Sims 4 on two computers in different locations. Even though I have one EA account these rewards do not go to the account, they go to the computer that is logged on. That is ridiculous if you ask me! also, I never heard of yogurt melts. Not an American thing. How random to have a made up food!
You can solve this problem copying your whole sims 4 documents folder from the device where rewards are, and replacing the folder in your other device with the one you copied before

Yeah I like the mini fridge/bin/vending machine set. I built a gym and I’ve been waiting to finish it so I could put in the whole set. And I like the bar too. I was playing with Vlad in a small but very cluttered house and put it in so he could make himself plasma Janes. The trait could have been better, I like that they can take mindful walks, but that’s literally the best thing about it, imo. Yogurt melts are an American thing, but they’re marketed as toddler foods, so I guess they put that in for toddlers?

There is no mini fridge in base game, the base game nano can doesn’t match anything so a recolor is long overdue, and most of the bars are huge, so a one tile one could be useful for houses. And I’ll never be upset for new vending machines as I use them all the time for builds. But would have prefered it as an SDX and not this stupid login event.

We have chocolate eggs that sims can eat, but no chocolate bars! It was really unfortunate when making a retail store to be a grocery store that I had to put only a ton of chocolate eggs near the register… since I couldn’t make any kind of candy display

The Vending Machine is glitched, if your food gets stuck but you manage to shake it successfully the items unfortunately disappear; they're not in your sims personal or household inventory. So you have to pay again to try to get food. The last time, I used it though my sims food got stuck three times in a row that I ran out of simoleons and patience to try again. Plus the risk for death by vending machine was higher because she'd already been crushed once during the process. After 3 successes and 9 failed attempts, I just gave up on the thing and grabbed one of the coolers instead.🤦
I got so jealous seeing Satch's first two attempts be successful.😂 Why? If my sim was clumsy i could see it failing often but she's not. At this point I gave up, if the vending machine didn't crush her she'd have starved to death anyway.😂
Snatch, you missed the fullbody athlewear that also came in the same reward claim as the vending machine. The top is the same as the one that came with uni dlc.
Remember in the previous sims game where you could pick highlights for your hair? I really miss the customization. I was able to test real life wallpapers in a model of my own bedroom to see what I liked best and used it to decide what to buy for my real life room. Thank you Sims 3 - the Sims 4 could never.

In fact, they do not associate the claim to the user profile. I had to reinstall the game and didn't recognise all the prizes that I had already claimed.
Technically speaking, the items were included in a base game update not a pack or kit. So from a coding standpoint, there is no (practical) way for them to block or lock the content away from people, even if they didn't do the event. The items will still be in their game (uncategorized but in there) and will indeed be downloadable from the gallery from here on out. Just like the sims sessions stuff. I wasn't around for that but can still download a lot with those things in it from the gallery. Because they are technically in everyone game, just uncatagorized or hidden in DEBUG so we can't find them easily.
I love the new nanocan because A, the cheaper price means you can actually pay it off over time (be honest, using it enough to make over a grand barely happened) and B, the swatches mean it’s not butt ass ugly in my builds for once!

R u sure? Yogurt melts are baby food. For when they start solids. It helps them practice picking up their food and they can’t choke on it because it melts in their mouth, but they can crush it with their gums to practice chewing.
I deleted the Sims 4 a little less than a year ago. It's a worthless game and I have moved on to actually fun video games from AAA gaming companies... oh wait--- EA... destroying every franchise it touches! Also since they kept Lyndsey whats her face as the EP for TS5... lol, no. Delete it guys you save so much hard drive space, you stop being played by EA, save money, and most importantly you can find a new game where the company has a stake in keeping the game going. Sub games are great for this because the sub keeps the game actively maintenanced and new content is added. No one likes paying a sub but companies that make quality products that have expansions and not a one and done buy like Sims 4. In other words, once they have your money, mission accomplised. But to keep someone subbing, you have to keep gooding out a good working product. No one likes subs, but this is also the current system that corporate gaming has decided to get the best of both worlds (to their bottom line.)
Those rewards suck for me! 😡 I got half way at home but had to leave for a couple of weeks and brought my laptop and when I logged in for more rewards it started over from the start even though it's the same EA account, and now I won't have time to get them all before this ends. EA apparently can't do anything right... Between the pre-order bonuses, the broken packs and this not working I think I am finally completely done with this game and EA as a whole.
So i just realized the set of clothes the sims are wearing in the vending machine picture was included with the free stuff. Was I the only one who thought they were just random sims posing? Or what?
Personally I enjoy practice makes perfect. I have a sim who had it early and he's fun. Though the focused part for every skill does annoy me. As for the bar and the mini fridge, I already use them a lot. The mini fridge I don't have the pack that has it so it's just so nice. The other rewards are useless. Though I can see a use case for the vending machine in a non commercial way to have sims who don't know how to cook but doesn't annoy you with the mood debuff from not fresh food. Which could be kind of a fun challenge, have a sim who NEVER learns cooking.
Man people are gonna be so mad when the next Sims has no mod content. There's no way EA let's people play with mods when they want them buying a battlepass.
..I need you to know that the "... packs" in bright green does allow you to filter content by packs you own and also selecting/deselecting specific ones or basegame only Idk if there are any problems with that bc it has always worked well for me so far
Most people play on normal lifespan, not short. I am a weirdo and have a custom long lifespan and am a rotational family legacy player. The game hasn’t even started for real for me til I’m three gens in minimum. 😂😂
There already was a compact bar that came with the Vintage Glamour pack. You may be wondering... "Where" Well, it's basically this globe on a table. YES. A GLOBE ON A TABLE IS A BAR. It takes even less space than the compact bar we got in the season pass. I could be wrong because I don't use it at all, it could be a 2x2 item and not 1x1. Apparently the globe bar is an actual thing that people used ro use in the 60's. Was popular in Italy. I didn't mean to insult Italians with my comment.
The Globe is not on a table and it takes as much space as the compact bar but doesn't let you make more than a few types of drinks. The compact bar is better because it lets you make all the regular bar drinks. I know because I use the globe bar all the time for my historical saves
I believe the Event Items are actually accessible in Base Game using debug or something, even if you didn't claim them. Which kind of defeats the idea of them being login rewards.
They “fixed” the in game work around so it doesn’t work anymore in build/buy mode, but if you download a room from the gallery with them or already had them in a build, you can use them. Technically they are in everyone’s game just “hidden” until they are unlocked by a bit of code.
Dont worry. Even if you dont have time to get all the rewards some players uploaded rooms with all of them in the gallery. And since all these items are hidden in base game files, you can still use those from the gallery.
I dont think we have chocolate bars, but im sure we have chocolate fondoo… cant spell it but you can put strawberries in with it. Yoghurt melt i think comes for the infants or toddlers when you feed them in the high chair

In my experience, sims DO multitask while playing darts, especially if you're playing with a larger group of people. I've had sims eat, sit, talk, etc while waiting their turn for darts.
The nano can i have used a lot so having more 'normal' swatches is great, and it being cheaper is a bonus :D The compact bar is cool as i find them a bit big for in homes
Only thing annoying about claiming these is I have to disable my custom content, then exit the game, then boot up the game and then claim the login rewards, then enable my custom content then exit the game then boot the game up again. However, I did just download the build items in the login rewards as custom content lol.
I was so hyped for the new trait and then so disappointed when I got it hahahahah just not a trait I'll be using at all, doesn't really change my Sim's personality? Idk
i heard that those rewards are not linked with account but with game folder on your pc. SO if you reinstall your game or just want to play on different pc with same account - rewards are gone
You have to back up in google drive or a hard drive the user settings archive located in your Sims 4 documents folder and paste it in the same location when you have a new computer or reinstall the game.
Practice Makes Perfect is horrendous. If the only thing you want is for your sim to be in a focused mood - go for it. Otherwise, skip it. Not even "very flirty" or "very inspired" etc moodlets will overcome this one's focused moodlets. Plus, they will end up in a focused/very focused mood every single time you have them do literally anything that improves any skill at all. Painting? Focused. Cooking? Focused. Fixing broken items? Focused. Talking to sims (practising charisma)? Focused. Nothing else will get through. You're much better off living in a mid-tier tiny home for a few in-game days to raise skills.
Base Game Quick Meals that would make sense in a vending machine: Chips, Animal Crackers, Cheese Crackers, Off-Brand Soda. And that's just the Base Game, if you include cross-pack compatibility you get some microwaveable goods from Discover University that makes as much sense as the chicken nuggets, granola and juice from Outdoor Retreat and five different Power Sips across four packs. Why did they put salad and sandwiches in there?
Wait what?! You are telling me the sims, the sims! Has a battlepass? Call me crazy or whatever, but it just sounds like robbery. Like why didn't they just put it in the packs. Like aleast fortnite's battlepass makes some kind of sense, but the sims is a single player game and doesn't have the same online features that fortnite has. Like just let me buy it in a pack or from the sims store.

I love the idea, but only if it's new and original content. Retextures of things locked behind packs is lazy, but I would love new traits. Also, why do I get a feeling this will become a paid battle royal subscription like in most FPS games...? They gotta milk the cow before another game studio makes a better replacement.
A mini fridge AND a one tile wall mounted shower should have been standard in Tiny Living. At least we get a mini fridge in base game now but I am still irked that Tiny Living didn't supply a mini fridge and shower. Also, why don't cushions clip to sofas? I always use move objects but it seems dumb to add cushions but they don't clip to sofas automatically.
I wouldn't mind logging in for this stuff as someone who mainly builds but for me (an Xbox player) the sims take SO LONG to launch everytime so its not just a quick little log in
I think the trait is actually pretty decent. Some people are quick learners. And this is honestly a better representation of that, then lets say the reward traits or aspiration traits just giving a flat buff to how fast you learn for the rest of your life as soon as you start any skills. Its almost like your sim has to warm up and actually get to know the skill they're trying learn. My only issue with it, is the description being confusing. It mentioning "even if it is a bit slow as first" makes it seem like you learn slower then usual, at first, So like day 1 you learn at -25% speed, Day 2: regular speed, Day 3 +10% speed etc etc, until it hits a cap. Or if its just the regular speed to begin with and there are just different tiers of buffs that get progressively higher the more you practice. Also side note: the creative, physical, mental, and social trait categorization has been a thing since children. Haha You probably forgot because once they age up to teens its never mentioned in that context again. 😆
Due to EAs perfect timing, Germany currently only has the ability to unlock until the Bar. I'm not sure if the next one might unlock today? There is also no chance to catch up, because the game makes you wait until a set day to unlock it. So "Just playing 8 days in a row" is not working.

It will take more than two minutes just to boot up windows and open the EA launcher and then boot up Sims 4 to the loading screen. Then have to log out of everything again just to leave the house. Nor I am going to make it a priority to boot up my game computer after work when I don’t have time to play. Don’t compare two things that are not equal.

What's funny to me is that on the vending machine, there seem to be pictures of crisps and soft drinks (and maybe chocolate?) on the machine itself but somehow none of these can be bought from it. Small detail that sort of stood out to me.
You really only start seeing yogurt bites when you have toddlers in real life. It’s a common snack for babies that are weaning or toddlers. It’s freeze-dried, shelf stable blobs of yogurt that melt in your mouth.

I find these things to be a real slap in the face. I've played for years and spent hundreds of dollars on this damn game. I guess they don't think about simmers that are sick etc. I'm currently in a medical facility and therefore can't access my laptop so I have to miss out. Totally B.S. even for EA.

Satch, I have the Sims 4 on two computers in different locations. Even though I have one EA account these rewards do not go to the account, they go to the computer that is logged on. That is ridiculous if you ask me! also, I never heard of yogurt melts. Not an American thing. How random to have a made up food!
You can solve this problem copying your whole sims 4 documents folder from the device where rewards are, and replacing the folder in your other device with the one you copied before
The big problem with this consists in login rewards being saved in your game documents folder, not your EA account unfortunately

Yeah I like the mini fridge/bin/vending machine set. I built a gym and I’ve been waiting to finish it so I could put in the whole set. And I like the bar too. I was playing with Vlad in a small but very cluttered house and put it in so he could make himself plasma Janes. The trait could have been better, I like that they can take mindful walks, but that’s literally the best thing about it, imo.

There is no mini fridge in base game, the base game nano can doesn’t match anything so a recolor is long overdue, and most of the bars are huge, so a one tile one could be useful for houses. And I’ll never be upset for new vending machines as I use them all the time for builds. But would have prefered it as an SDX and not this stupid login event.

We have chocolate eggs that sims can eat, but no chocolate bars! It was really unfortunate when making a retail store to be a grocery store that I had to put only a ton of chocolate eggs near the register… since I couldn’t make any kind of candy display

The Vending Machine is glitched, if your food gets stuck but you manage to shake it successfully the items unfortunately disappear; they're not in your sims personal or household inventory. So you have to pay again to try to get food. The last time, I used it though my sims food got stuck three times in a row that I ran out of simoleons and patience to try again. Plus the risk for death by vending machine was higher because she'd already been crushed once during the process. After 3 successes and 9 failed attempts, I just gave up on the thing and grabbed one of the coolers instead.🤦

I got so jealous seeing Satch's first two attempts be successful.😂 Why? If my sim was clumsy i could see it failing often but she's not. At this point I gave up, if the vending machine didn't crush her she'd have starved to death anyway.😂

Remember in the previous sims game where you could pick highlights for your hair? I really miss the customization. I was able to test real life wallpapers in a model of my own bedroom to see what I liked best and used it to decide what to buy for my real life room. Thank you Sims 3 - the Sims 4 could never.
The only yogurt melts I know of are for babies/toddlers. It’s basically freeze dried yogurt bites that melt in your mouth. I don’t know any adults that eat them as a snack though 😂
I know moms who admit to snacking on them, they are just a bite sized yogurt snack and better than some other choices. Its only the marketing of them that have made them baby food associated.

Most mobile games have login rewards which is where I think this is coming from. Its just so much easier to login daily on your phone though
In fact, they do not associate the claim to the user profile. I had to reinstall the game and didn't recognise all the prizes that I had already claimed.
Technically speaking, the items were included in a base game update not a pack or kit. So from a coding standpoint, there is no (practical) way for them to block or lock the content away from people, even if they didn't do the event. The items will still be in their game (uncategorized but in there) and will indeed be downloadable from the gallery from here on out. Just like the sims sessions stuff. I wasn't around for that but can still download a lot with those things in it from the gallery. Because they are technically in everyone game, just uncatagorized or hidden in DEBUG so we can't find them easily.
I love the new nanocan because A, the cheaper price means you can actually pay it off over time (be honest, using it enough to make over a grand barely happened) and B, the swatches mean it’s not butt ass ugly in my builds for once!
So, I didn't miss anything? Good! I was almost tempted to log in after over a year of not doing so lol.

I deleted the Sims 4 a little less than a year ago. It's a worthless game and I have moved on to actually fun video games from AAA gaming companies... oh wait--- EA... destroying every franchise it touches! Also since they kept Lyndsey whats her face as the EP for TS5... lol, no. Delete it guys you save so much hard drive space, you stop being played by EA, save money, and most importantly you can find a new game where the company has a stake in keeping the game going. Sub games are great for this because the sub keeps the game actively maintenanced and new content is added. No one likes paying a sub but companies that make quality products that have expansions and not a one and done buy like Sims 4. In other words, once they have your money, mission accomplised. But to keep someone subbing, you have to keep gooding out a good working product. No one likes subs, but this is also the current system that corporate gaming has decided to get the best of both worlds (to their bottom line.)

I got half way at home but had to leave for a couple of weeks and brought my laptop and when I logged in for more rewards it started over from the start even though it's the same EA account, and now I won't have time to get them all before this ends.

Between the pre-order bonuses, the broken packs and this not working I think I am finally completely done with this game and EA as a whole.
So i just realized the set of clothes the sims are wearing in the vending machine picture was included with the free stuff. Was I the only one who thought they were just random sims posing? Or what?
Personally I enjoy practice makes perfect. I have a sim who had it early and he's fun. Though the focused part for every skill does annoy me. As for the bar and the mini fridge, I already use them a lot. The mini fridge I don't have the pack that has it so it's just so nice.
The other rewards are useless. Though I can see a use case for the vending machine in a non commercial way to have sims who don't know how to cook but doesn't annoy you with the mood debuff from not fresh food. Which could be kind of a fun challenge, have a sim who NEVER learns cooking.
So is this content accessible for everyone at any point and time? I currently can’t play right now and don’t know when I will be able to again

Well, it's basically this globe on a table. YES. A GLOBE ON A TABLE IS A BAR. It takes even less space than the compact bar we got in the season pass. I could be wrong because I don't use it at all, it could be a 2x2 item and not 1x1.
Apparently the globe bar is an actual thing that people used ro use in the 60's. Was popular in Italy. I didn't mean to insult Italians with my comment.
The Globe is not on a table and it takes as much space as the compact bar but doesn't let you make more than a few types of drinks. The compact bar is better because it lets you make all the regular bar drinks. I know because I use the globe bar all the time for my historical saves

I believe the Event Items are actually accessible in Base Game using debug or something, even if you didn't claim them. Which kind of defeats the idea of them being login rewards.
They “fixed” the in game work around so it doesn’t work anymore in build/buy mode, but if you download a room from the gallery with them or already had them in a build, you can use them. Technically they are in everyone’s game just “hidden” until they are unlocked by a bit of code.
The login events are so odd like girl why 😭
Dont worry. Even if you dont have time to get all the rewards some players uploaded rooms with all of them in the gallery. And since all these items are hidden in base game files, you can still use those from the gallery.
I dont think we have chocolate bars, but im sure we have chocolate fondoo… cant spell it but you can put strawberries in with it. Yoghurt melt i think comes for the infants or toddlers when you feed them in the high chair

In my experience, sims DO multitask while playing darts, especially if you're playing with a larger group of people. I've had sims eat, sit, talk, etc while waiting their turn for darts.
The nano can i have used a lot so having more 'normal' swatches is great, and it being cheaper is a bonus :D The compact bar is cool as i find them a bit big for in homes
Only thing annoying about claiming these is I have to disable my custom content, then exit the game, then boot up the game and then claim the login rewards, then enable my custom content then exit the game then boot the game up again. However, I did just download the build items in the login rewards as custom content lol.
I was so hyped for the new trait and then so disappointed when I got it hahahahah just not a trait I'll be using at all, doesn't really change my Sim's personality? Idk

i heard that those rewards are not linked with account but with game folder on your pc. SO if you reinstall your game or just want to play on different pc with same account - rewards are gone
You have to back up in google drive or a hard drive the user settings archive located in your Sims 4 documents folder and paste it in the same location when you have a new computer or reinstall the game.

Practice Makes Perfect is horrendous. If the only thing you want is for your sim to be in a focused mood - go for it. Otherwise, skip it. Not even "very flirty" or "very inspired" etc moodlets will overcome this one's focused moodlets. Plus, they will end up in a focused/very focused mood every single time you have them do literally anything that improves any skill at all. Painting? Focused. Cooking? Focused. Fixing broken items? Focused. Talking to sims (practising charisma)? Focused. Nothing else will get through. You're much better off living in a mid-tier tiny home for a few in-game days to raise skills.
Base Game Quick Meals that would make sense in a vending machine: Chips, Animal Crackers, Cheese Crackers, Off-Brand Soda. And that's just the Base Game, if you include cross-pack compatibility you get some microwaveable goods from Discover University that makes as much sense as the chicken nuggets, granola and juice from Outdoor Retreat and five different Power Sips across four packs. Why did they put salad and sandwiches in there?
Wait what?! You are telling me the sims, the sims! Has a battlepass? Call me crazy or whatever, but it just sounds like robbery. Like why didn't they just put it in the packs. Like aleast fortnite's battlepass makes some kind of sense, but the sims is a single player game and doesn't have the same online features that fortnite has. Like just let me buy it in a pack or from the sims store.
I dunno, im starting to hate TS4.. . Which makes me sad because i grew up playing TS1, TS2, TS3, it was my childhood but everything is recycled from other packs and they dont listen to their customers 😢
I love the idea, but only if it's new and original content. Retextures of things locked behind packs is lazy, but I would love new traits.

A mini fridge AND a one tile wall mounted shower should have been standard in Tiny Living. At least we get a mini fridge in base game now but I am still irked that Tiny Living didn't supply a mini fridge and shower. Also, why don't cushions clip to sofas? I always use move objects but it seems dumb to add cushions but they don't clip to sofas automatically.
I wouldn't mind logging in for this stuff as someone who mainly builds but for me (an Xbox player) the sims take SO LONG to launch everytime so its not just a quick little log in
I think the trait is actually pretty decent.
Some people are quick learners. And this is honestly a better representation of that, then lets say the reward traits or aspiration traits just giving a flat buff to how fast you learn for the rest of your life as soon as you start any skills.
Its almost like your sim has to warm up and actually get to know the skill they're trying learn.
My only issue with it, is the description being confusing.
It mentioning "even if it is a bit slow as first" makes it seem like you learn slower then usual, at first, So like day 1 you learn at -25% speed, Day 2: regular speed, Day 3 +10% speed etc etc, until it hits a cap.
Or if its just the regular speed to begin with and there are just different tiers of buffs that get progressively higher the more you practice.
Also side note: the creative, physical, mental, and social trait categorization has been a thing since children. Haha

Due to EAs perfect timing, Germany currently only has the ability to unlock until the Bar. I'm not sure if the next one might unlock today? There is also no chance to catch up, because the game makes you wait until a set day to unlock it. So "Just playing 8 days in a row" is not working.
