For successive harvest, I suggest to save the water from the mushroom rinse back to the same area. Maybe they will grow again from spores.
What kind of mushroom is it?
Also did Fiona add peanut butter in the meal? You didn't say it.

It's not like it won't grow back if one family harvests it. No, it grows back. They were just trying to encourage people to share, afterall, wouldn't it indeed be a shame eating them alone without calling your neighbours, yet you never even planted them to begin with. They are usually so many and need many people to harvest. You cannot even harvet them alone because they'll go bad before you finish them as they rotten very quickly, so the best way to go is to call friends and neighbours to share with you. We also have them growing each year at our home in Kabale, Uganda. And neigbours come with baskets and harvest all. But be aware that there's a shy but venomous snake that is usually around those mushrooms. Be careful, as it's highly venomous. Locals believe that if it doesn't come there, they won't come. lol! But anyhow, It's there!
Wow!!! Thank you for sharing this knowledge, our traditions always keep us in line, I didn't know about the snake, it's the first time I am hearing this. I am going to be extra careful now. Thank you for watching
we have these mushroom here in Papua New Guinea but we dont know its edible
There are different types of mushrooms, we also have one that looks like this but very soft and not able. We have to be 100℅sure before eating mushrooms. Thank you so much for watching
