Fuel Pressure Regulator Issue Fix

First time tearing into the fuel system on a 2015 Summit XM 800 E-TEC. This video shows removal of the fuel pressure regulator screws and installation of the "fix" from Ski-Doo to capture the fuel pressure regulator. This can be done as preventative maintenance so your machine doesn't experience a hard start condition or as a repair due to hard start condition.

Thank you Aaron, pulled my fpr out and sure enough it was backing out enough to where the o ring was visible. I think I’m just gonna fabricate that little plate real quick instead of hunting one down

Thank you for the vid. My ex gf poured sugar in both my xp and xs machines. Luckily I checked the gas caps and found it 1st. Cleaned one tank already, running good. TY.

Nice video. I had this happen on my machine as well. Called the local dealer and they are not aware of the Fix from Skidoo. Do you have a part number for this fix?

Sorry, I do not have record of the part number - there is a bulletin your dealer should be able to pull the part number from that bulletin. The parts catalog does not have it.

This sled was working fine, updated to not have the issue in the backcountry. We had one '14 hard start in the backcountry and updated our entire fleet in order to not have that happen again. We also fixed a fleet of 4 2015s that part of our group rented one year in a hotel parking lot. Every one I've taken apart has had the o-ring pushing out, not all have demonstrated the symptoms.

Wheres the filter on the fuel pump the sock ?

inside the large black part, is where the pump and filter are

Did your sled have a error code. My 2012 800 etec stalled the other day now it runs rough and stalls after a minute or so
