Homemade roping dummy

- My home made roping dummy. I’ll be introducing this to Clyde to start working with him on roping. Pretty excited about this. For plans please see my Instagram LisaBlisscoltstarting. I have pictures of the plans to build one there.

Good job! Sometimes if I’m building something with PVC that’s not carrying a fluid or pressure I’ll put the fittings together without primer and that will give you some extra time to square things up. Some cements work different than others. I’d love to see you working with Clyde with roping. Maybe some videos of you roping. I’m a backyard roper still using a bale of hay with the steer head. Been looking at a metal sled dummy to start heeling. I figured heeling was harder than heading but it’s all about the time you put in. Enjoy your videos and look forward to more!
I’ll get some more videos for ya. I gotta convince my friend to drag it for me first lol. As I don’t have anything to pull it with. That’s where I started. In the back yard on a bale of hay. Heeling is easier standing and roping the dummy. Than it is on a horse. I’ll try to get videos of heeling as well. I’ve heard those smarty dummies are really nice. But very pricy. I’ve seen some used sleds on Facebook. But no shipping hat local pickup. Yep your 100% right on that. It’s all about the time you put in. Kinda like fishing or hunting. Can’t get em if your on the couch. Lol.
