I really like Ancient Garurumon and the new CresGarurumon is pretty cool too. I never really cared too much for the Metal Garurumons, I thought WereGarurumon was cooler. And while not technically a Garurumon, I do really like the design of the Bond of Friendship Gabumon
“Gabubond” & “Agubond” are interesting peeks into modern Digimon design philosophy though. Agubond clearly resembles a WarGreymon without the bulk armor, and Gabubond clearly resembles a slimmed down, bipedal MetalGarurumon. And yet… at the same time there are many who say they are somewhat overdesigned. Gabubond in particular very much feels like a midpoint between MetalGarurumon and MagnaGarurumon, but with even more unnecessary greebling 😅 I don’t know if I necessarily like the Bond evolutions, but they ARE really cool to look at
@SylviaMoonbeam1127 the bond forms have the Omnimon issue where they are very cool when they show up in a special occasion, but seeing them too much starts to make the designs look worse the more you look at them while making them feel less special.
Weregarurumon is my favorite… he alone (and all his bipedal forms that walk on two legs like black version) kept me interested in digimon (even bought the games)… preventing him from digivolving… but he wouldn’t b strong enough for me to progress…. If they didn’t change him into a 4 leg walking mega form, I would’ve remained interested
Weregarumon was always my favorite form, just a step behind WarGreymon. I always wanted to see him evolve into a mega form, with metal armor, like WarGreymon, but retaining his bipedalism and fighting prowess. I think he almost devolved to MetalGarumon.
The thing that doesn’t sit well with me is that they cannot find a cohesive element affinity to him, is he fire? ice? light(speed)? It’s all over the place.
i was gonna say you forgot both burning greymon in this last video and kendogarurumon in this video. but then you mentioned the whole renaming for localization bit. i had no idea since i haven't watched all of frontier in japanese.
I always thought Gabumon's Ultimate and Mega form should have been swapped. Metalgarurmon should have been the Ultimate. And Weregarurmon should have been designed differently where we see a digivolve animation of a werewolf break through the armor of metalgarurumon, still wearing some of armor seen as metalgarurumon and still having some of metalgarurumons attacks, but now as a werewolf that can fly and can go toe to toe with wargreymon. It would've been better that way
When I was looking over the DIM card inclusions, I was curious as to why Mercurymon showed up on a Garurumon themed DIM, until I noticed that he's wearing a Weregarurumon pelt. Could he be a varient in the same vein as Gaioumon?

Iconic so for me the Veemon/Veedramon, Garurumon and Greymon family are the absolute GOAT in Digimon absolutely love them!! I still long to see ZeedGarurumon in some Anime media to debut along with VictoryGreymon whom probably are the most powerful and broken of their species able to go toe to toe with Yggdrasil. As much as the Adventure 2020 was unnecessary and filler nostalgia bait for me and one of the BEST additions was CresGarurumon I liked this Digimon and design a lot even better than MetalGarurumon with nostalga service in addition for my final verdict and all sick design, character and backstory to this form and its a shame BlitzGreymon came nowhere near as impactful with WarGreymon still being Agumon’s best form and MVP over BlitzGreymon no contest so not as much impact as CresGarurumon. Lol being a HUGE fan of the Digimon World Trilogy it was pretty kool see Gururumon mentioned to he is basically a different variant like lots of basic Wild enemy Digimon introduced in DW1 were and I find it interesting that it is a delinquent like version of Garurumon that at times can’t back up it’s troublesome nature because we can assume it’s much weaker than Garurumon with how he is portrayed in the games. VictoryGreymon outclassing Yggdrasill is a bit of an overrated feat. Yggdrasill was a big deal in the early 2000s, not so much anymore. I mean, even good old Wargreymon beat him in Re: Digitize, and MetalGarurumon should be able to do the same.
Besides Were- and Metalgarurumon I like that Z'dgarurumon but that cannon on his back looks a bit stupid imo. Atleast the revolver part. It's just way to klunky.
Garurumon line is always strange to me. Garurumon is cool enough, but weregarurumon looks awkward imo, and going from weregarurumon to metalgarurumon is too big of a design shift.
man i really love garurumon and weregarurumon but i always did and still do dislike metalgarurumon so much. the x antibody metalgarurumon is cool though.
Magnagarurumon, Kendogarurumon, Lobomon, Beowulfmon, regular+Sagitarius Mode Weregarurumon, Ancientgarurumon, and Cresgarurumon are my favorites. Z'd and Metalgarurumon X are my least favorite designs. The former has such an ugly design and the latter just looks like a generic, overdesigned mech with a Garurumon head.

Definitely not. Mercurymon is one of the ten warriors. Gaiomon is confirmed to be the same thing as Blackwar, given it's card effects in the card game
