Palki, this time you are fake. In the name of gender diversity, equality, and women's leadership men are facing heavy challenges in the corporate sector, even if there is no contribution from women, they must get promoted as part of gender diversity. I am one of the victims like many men, in my office in the name of promoting women(who are already 60% of the workforce) as part of women's empowerment, this exercise is happening at many corporations even though their contribution and delivery is not up to the mark. I agree there must be equal pay but without any contribution and without any hard work in the name of gender how can you promote and hire? Remember, women empowerment means engaging women equally not suppressing men to uplift women. In India, women misuse and violate anti-dowry laws to take revenge now they're using this gender diversity and women empowerment to scale up the ladder despite their negligible contribution.

At my college placements, there were some companies which came to hire only female students. And this was for roles like Software Developer. And it might sound sexist, but the truth is that, very few girls (next to none) were good at coding compared to a lot of boys who had at least some knowledge of the same.
Dell for example, came to hire 3 candidates, but hired only one because the girls were just not good enough. Meanwhile, many deserving male candidates didn't even get the opportunity.
Even today if you open any job searching website, you'll find a few "female candidate preferred" for the role of software developers.
I know all this is required for women empowerment and I am ok with it, but my problem is that people don't acknowledge the benefits that girls/women get and are constantly complaining. Life isn't fair to anyone.

You're only now realising that Palki has defaulted from what she used to be and only now does biased journalism and push her woke ideas of women empowerment?? She is even now worse off than her Western counterparts she used to criticise when she started. At least Western media attacks and focuses more on issues at home and less of the world. For India media, it's 98% of the world and 2% of domestic issues. You would rarely hear her call out the Indian government as though India doesn't have internal issues/problems.

Indian media is biased within India but when the global challenge comes there is a strong part that will demand an explanation from the govt. West talk about hman rights, can you tell me what west did in the middle east, African and latin America? Did anyone questioned ?But they aks India who ch implements it may not be perfectly. Some companies have a better ratio of male to female employees while some don't.
The question we should be asking is, why is the ratio so skewed up in companies where only 30% of the workforce is women, when way more women appear for college and get degrees?

Similarly, there are other low level jobs that women compete over when resources are scarce. Just because the type of work is different doesn't mean it's not happening. It's happening in a way that you might have missed.
Women are in the military- but the physical qualifiers can't be the same as those for men, cuz biology, which changed over the last few decades and now allows for women to be a part of the force, so they're joining now (why aren't women occupying an equal number of positions as men? Because historically it was a field where women were disqualified application, so it will naturally take time for the ratio to become healthier)

Many factors contribute to the underrepresentation of women in higher positions:
    1. Most women work fewer hours in general when compared to men in similar roles. A female employee can be very skilled but if she does not bill the required hours, she will be outmatched by men who are more willing or able to work longer hours. I have seen then first hand in my family and with family-friends. Women reach office late, leave early, take more hourly breaks and vacations/leaves. Anecdotal evidence may not compare to factual evidence but it is not without merit.
    2. Women don't have the skills. Sometimes, women are hired to meet diversity quotas (directly or indirectly, where companies may not say it outright but they will hire more women then men for government benefits) and the female hires may be less-skilled than men in similar roles. Men do not have any luxury when it comes to sexist hiring and mostly never lack skills for a particular role. Now the skill gap is not a generalization like the above point and I know many skilled professional including my mother who is a knowledgeable government officer; but it can be argued that most reports of women not getting promoted come from those who are not skilled, creating reporting bias. This will be further explained in the next point why women in higher positions may not report promotion bias.
    3. Women are not workers, they are nurturers. They are not designed to "work" like men do to the same degree of complacency and efficiency as men. Actually, please correct me if I'm wrong but, I have heard "women" CEOs argue that they would hire less and less women, if given the choice, since they would not have to deal with laid back attitude, constant emotional tackling and complaining that comes with hiring women. Very few women are professionally stoic, both on the outside and the inside (i.e. not petty, because anecdotal evidence suggests that women can hold intense and longer grudges for longer than men). Running business requires emotional maturity. Most women, not being able to display this trait, are excluded from higher positions (often by women in higher positions themselves) that require maturity.
I'm not arguing against acknowledging that biases may play a role in these issues but to say that just these biases, in and of itself, is responsible for this issue is a poor argument at best.

In 12-13 years of my career I have seen many women getting promoted because they are good looking and for maintaining good repo with bosses, while we men work 2-3 times harder than them, but no men complain about that, maybe because men assume that hard-work is they only way ahead for them.
Also to mention that not all women will choose same path but there are many who take advantage of their good looks to lure their bosses and get promoted (even when they are working much less, don't have sufficient skillset and take constant leaves by giving medical reasons), but I see no women complaining for this.
That's the sad reality of equal opportunity for women in India.

Basically, women want to enjoy everything equal but, she don’t want to share responsibilities equally with her husband. Till date she is dependent on her husband and after mainly Divorce and claim for Maintenance form him. Why? If women want equality then why dependency on a male? A Husband?
Actually, a women want to grow, and shine but under the protection of a husband and at the same time she wants a backup plan also. This tendency shows a lack of confidence. We are living in the society where everything is observed by everyone.
A simple psychology is if a person (Male or Female) unable to maintain Him / Her self then how can be He or She be useful to a company or even a society. I may be harsh but this the reality as specifically when choosing a future husband, a girl first looking toward earning potential of a man. So, companies also choose the candidate same way. Nothing wrong in it. So, dear women, please understand before complaining.

When you look at jobs in the private sector which are very competitive, of course you see more men being promoted, because most women just can't or don't perform to the same standard (same reason men and women don't compete together in the Olympics). Now look at the public sector where the jobs are not competitive. There are more women working for the governments in the west than men. Just look at the courts here in the US. At least 80% of the court employees are women, including the state prosecutors and judges. Why don't you speak out for men's equality there? Oh, I forgot, that would contradict your baseless feminist paradigm/propaganda.

Women don't commit to their job. Their commitment is to home and children. If they have children in childcare, the are always taking off time to run home for a runny nose. Business to women is like a hobby. I had a business in a highly skilled trade. My production manager was a woman. She was great from day one. The business ran better and made more money because of her. Then she became pregnant. She worked to 8 months and trained another woman to do he job. Before the manager came back the new one was pregnant. So number one is back a couple months and announces she pregnant again. She didn't think she could conceive while nursing. Men know what causes pregnancy, apparently women don't. I did the math and realized I could do as well in a one person business. I sold the existing business to the ladies who eventually ran it into the ground. My one man shop did well and I retired 20 years before I thought I could.

Question is, why does the society not support women when giving children?
Isn't birthing children a good thing for society?
What I've seen around me is, that women leave their jobs for 3 to 4 years when they have children because the father also doesn't get any holidays.
Day care is too expensive, they don't get many holiday, father's also are given any time off job hence they can't help, but they need money.
Thus the women end up leaving their job while their husband's work to raise their children.
In one extraordinary case, I saw the father leave his job cause his wife earned more.
Why do we not have more affordable day care for children so that parents can give their time to work as well while not being worried about how their child is?

Again expecting entitlement by gender. Please maintain your standards Palki. Don’t stoop so low. Most of your followers are men while women are watching Big Boss.

She neglected all the fact and truth and started blabbering.....lol
She neglected the population difference between men and woman.
She neglected the privilege that women are having like beauty i don't know about other countries but in india if a woman is pretty they will end up having the top positions no matter how usless they are at work.
    She forgot woman reservations
She forgot about the time men invest to get on top...
And half baked work...like palki did here she neglected fact truth and ended up reporting with emotions....with all biased point.😂😂😂

Yes she is always biased when it comes to these feminist issues women always get more advantage in getting jobs even if they are underqualified because some companies have to maintain gender ratio many times companies coming to engineering colleges for recruitment only take girl students for the same reason paths have been made easier for them all the way I don't know why they still cry.

What I do with such women is I track their public life over 30-40 years, how much wealth they have vs how well they or their family are, also if they even want to have one, in terms of values, principles, quality. In essence, if they are contributing entities for humanity or have gone woke. Make a note of this and present these examples to other females if they want to live such a life. Then its their choice their consequences 😊

Cut the crap palki!! don't require a biased feminist!!! Women are taking the jobs of more eligible men because of reserved jobs for women!!!! And you want more??

@@ushabajpai5502The question is, are there not enough women applying that companies have to specifically find only women to recruit?
Idk much about the corporate world hence I am asking. Most cases I have seen of my neighbours where the parents struggle to raise their children bcs of work pressure and no leave. And women mostly end up leaving the company while their husband works, just to raise their children. So I am assuming that since workplace do not give adequate support to parents, a lot of people end up leaving, only to join after a period of time.

Good journalist doesn't really means you can't have ur freedom to choose ur ideologies. There are many supporters of positive connotations of Feminism, it is required to give space and room to even the negative ones , so why criticise the good one's.
