When I beat Keener for the first time way back in WONY, I so wanted and expected that we would transition to ANNA. "She" sounded so much better and human than ISAC in every way. Such disappointment that we just let ISAC override and eat her up. I was also puzzled that the Division did not think to keep ANNA around and study her more, use her to learn more about the Rogue network(same goes for all the defeated rogues' watches). More importantly, same goes for everything else BT. We clear sites, we hand them defeats but we do nothing to study or adapt their tech. We have a hovercraft from tidal basin, warhounds, healing stations, Piranha quadcopters, at least 3 Razorbacks (including one dropped off conveniently at the White house) but never though to deconstruct, reverse engineer and use all this tech. Honestly, it's quite stupid. We could very much pinpoint all the hostage locations and even Natalya's whereabouts at sea by now. But hey, game logic.
I appreciate you taking the time let people know about those in the Descent mode. I played that mode three times after release and after my third strike, went to the dugout and never looked back.
New game modes are always underbaked on release. This was true for both countdown and summit as well. I haven’t played much descent at all, just kinda waiting on them to improve the rewards and add more quality of life improvements before i hop in.

I like that they made the hunters even more in depth, still making the division 1 hunters make lore sense. They are homelands/black tusks clean up crew. @RougeGold, you should do a hunters lore video from the division 1 to today
Possibly Anna was designed and used by the 1st wave initially then went to ISAC which would explain why the rogues (1st wave agents) reverted back to using Anna.
I've seen Warhounds climb a ladder and use a rope, the first time I saw it use a rope it freaked me out because it looked so creepy (but cool). I think moving forward the Devs will focus more on A.I. since that is the new buzz word and less on the pandemic because the last few years made them less popular (in games) because of the real world last few years.
I've been playing this game non stop since it released and I play this about 90% above all the games that I own. I would buy any DLC or anything that they put out for sale. I don't play this game............I live it.
I wonder if Anna will end up being a fail safe for the Division. Especially considering it has a much more nuanced approach to morality. I think Keener may have known a lot more than we knew, and I would not be surprised if he is still around.

I’ve known recently that the Hunters use a specialised watch without a brick and a mobile SHD server as a way to operate clandestinely. But so far, our agent now collected a “classified watch” from Jack Bonney and been given a mobile SHD server from Wally when sht hits the fan in S11 Y4. And with the Red crossed masked hunter watching us from S9 Y4 and S1 Y5, it kinda all ads up of what’s possibly going to happen to our agent similar to Myra from the Thomas Parrot novels, especially the end of “Compromised”.
I saw warhounds that followed me back to the WH front lawn. I've had those Wally tanks repel down a ladder to get me, I've had war hounds and Wally's team up climb the rope and take out enemies and then focus on me! I've had a boss who controlled 200 drones . I was lucky and had an emp. I don't really want my map to be the "test map! LOL
I'm disappointed that they forgot about Bardon.. this whole plot that he and Faye knew -- it was just left behind. "We need to wake him up", and then never did.
I'm kind of hoping they don't do something stupid like killing McManus or Sokolova because they need the Hunters and the Black Tusk to be the eternal bad guys right now. I think they realized the mistake of killing off the main bad guys like Joe Ferro and Colonel Bliss. Those two antagonists could have carried multiple dlc for the division but they cut those legs too early. I mean right now if Joe Ferro showed up in the new incursion as having been hiding out and healing I'd be thrilled because that means so much more content. M Manus has to stay alive otherwise the Hunters are headless and disorganized. Sokolova has to stay alive because she provides the endless numbers with the mobile ability to go anywhere in the states.
@FatalFist Keener's death was badly done for someone who stayed ahead of everyone physically and technology wise for him to just be stuck on an island. Then, to run out and confront you after you foil the launch is just bad writing, missing the point of who and how the character worked. I mean with all the technology he had, he could have initiated the launch from anywhere safely. Plus in true form of the character he would have know enemies were coming and ditched like he did at the UN with the LMB. Also with the amount of Eclipse he had, he could have set numerous sites for launching from as backup. They could could have said with Keeners plan of using his knowledge of the virus and everything he talked about in the final echo of Division 1. He could have shipped rogue agents overseas and threatened foreign countries with it. He could have sent cells of rogue agents to attack the Black Tusk and retrieve the antivirals and the bio-something from the pentagon to have control of the cure of the dollar flu. Lots of options with Keener, still hoping it was a body double we saw dead. But really he sacrificed Theo who was the brains behind the rogue network. That's another rogue agent that should have escaped instead of standing his ground. And while we are on the subject Sokolova's brother (perfect hostage to use against the BT) and our firing range guy's daughter (for the humanity of it) should have been taken alive...along with Faye. For the Division not to have non lethal takedowns when they have shock weapons, skills, gear and ammunitions seems a bit silly. I mean if they had cut to a cutscene when they lost health and showed you firing a sticky that shocked them unconscious no one would have called bs.

Locking the comms behind Descent was a questionable decision. While I managed to acquire all of them, I believe a significant portion of the player base is likely missing out on these valuable pieces of lore. Using comms as a storytelling tool may not have been the best choice to begin with, and further restricting access to them seems ill-conceived.
I would love to know how these comms appeared. I never saw any "drop" at any time, nor did div2 indicate the existence of "complete" set. And yes I have beaten the nemesis more than 17x.
@timmigrant6597 If you go into your menu, then the Progression tab, tab over to the Collectibles category, Comms, and then find the Descent tab. Once you complete the project each week the new Comms are added there 👍
Definitely wish the descent comms weren’t locked to the once a week system. I missed the first 4 weeks due to work. Hopefully they make improvements for the next season. It’s definitely fun once you get the hang of it. Very difficult to find groups to run it. On console most people say it’s too difficult and time consuming for what you get out of it. I don’t necessarily share those sentiments. I like the challenge of high loops but im in the minority for sure. Wouldn’t mind if it were tuned down somehow so it doesn’t take 9-10 hours to get the tier 1 patch.
@@RogueGold I run it a few times a week with some friends and get between loops 20-30 on average. Get a notification for subset collectible completed almost every run but never get the missing comms. I don’t know if it’s a PS specific issue but hopefully they fix it and allow us to get them in the future.
@xi-deadshot-ix5838 Those notifications are for a different thing altogether. You can only get one of these specific comms per week, as they're tied to the weekly Descent project, and it's only requirement is defeating the Nemesis. So clear the Nemesis once per week, and a new comm will show up under Progression > Collectibles > Comms > Descent

The original E3 trailer showed Brooklyn as a small slice of the total map that Div 1 was originally going to encompass. But they're building this new one from the ground up 👍
There is no depth to this game at all once you reach max SHD. Even introducing new modes adds very little other than the comms but for me and presumably you and many others that isn't enough.
This is why I dislike the whole season system in video games but LOVE channels like yours. I absolutely love the division story, but I fall pit of playing it every so often and I miss like 2 seasons amd since I miss them I miss the story that's involved and it sucks and is anoyying. I love your channel because you keep me updated even when I'm on my gaming breaks! Keep up the great work boss!
I've yet to defeat the nemisis. I have attempted many times and will continue to try, but no joy so far. Any idea if I will be able to collect the comms after the season ends, or am I SOL?
Thanks for the vid. While i dont play descent at all - i have observed hunters around the open world map - outside of the regular hunter missions and little easter eggs where they do appear in-campaign. Usually the indication of them being there is the hud going fuzzy then a smoke nade and flash going off in the periphery. Have you noticed this? Its evasive behavior on their end. They arnt opening fire. Ive observed it happening slightly more around the washington monument cp.
That's actually been a "feature" since launch, most people refer to them as Stalker Hunters. I don't know if it's intended to just be a cool easter egg, or if there's lore implications!

It's possible as we know so little about him, but his general demeanor in all of the comms plus the actions the Hunters have taken over time lead me to believe otherwise.

Yes they've confirmed there will be a reveal stream prior to Season 2's release. I think it's still most likely happening this coming Monday, but they're probably waiting to see how tonight's maintenance goes before making a final determination. The LMG build was utilizing the Pestilence, Coyote's Mask, Sombra Backpack w/ Vigilance, Ceska Chestpiece w/ Unbreakable, Contractor's Gloves, Improvised Holster, and Foxes Prayer Kneepads 👍
As someone who is intrigued and sucked in with the Division Story/Lore, I thank you for this video, it's greatly appreciated, though it bothers me that I'm still missing so much about the story after investing too much time taking it slow leaving no stones unturned and always out on my own as a solo (for reasons as not to be distracted from understanding the lore) 😅. And speaking about the hunters, I've always been bothered why they've stalked us in Division 2 unlike Division 1, I always have this thought that maybe in the future we'll have a new ally which would later reveal him or herself as the hunter observing us from afar from all over in DC. Lol I don't even know if that would be possible as I'm still fairly young in the Division lore rabbit hole still discovering something new everyday. By the way that bipedal Warhound looks creepy AF. They should make them appear more especially for Halloween events, that would be a good scare 😂. Cheers 🍻

I am really enjoying this season just finished the season events but a little miffed that the only Exotics i got i already had lol, Would like to try the game with other players and team up for Decent and the Tower to see how it plays with more than just me RnGing. Thanks for rounding up the lore a little as i was missing the Anna Log so had not heard the fact that ammerhurst had been involved in the events other than inventing the green toxin.

I miss Div1 even more now. That gritty atmosphere of winter and dealing with anarchy of early weeks after bioterrorist attack. AI, robots, secret governents and their conspiracies many months or in DLC/Div 3 maybe years after the outbreak with virus pretty much gone just sounds not interesting to me.
One thing I always assumed was that Theo created the ‘rogue network’ aka ANNA, but we know through(spoilers)the books that the ANNA AI was already a)created and b)accessible through shd only tech. But this also opens up the #KeenerWasRight tag into a whole new light as well as his motives and why he went from angry and power hungry to a crazed Bond villain. Ok bear with me. Theo was already a conspiracy theorist. He was after some senator for k*lling his dad which is how Keener lured him in and like I said I assumed he created the AI the rogues used. But knowing now that a)ANNA was already there and b)that ISAC/ANNA recorded EVERYTHING to a central database could potentially mean Theo and by extention Keener, knew about Hunters, BT, Cal, and ultimately the entire plot they all hatched and executed behind everyone’s back. He would’ve seen all of it. And because we don’t know technically, when he approached Theo, we don’t know how early he might’ve known it all. If he got to to Theo say immediately after the DZ in the winter happened, he may have known all this while he was doing his stuff in the first game. My point is it gives Keener a whole new life and his actions a whole new perspective if he knew about all this cause Theo hacked ISAC and by extension Diamond and ANNA. That I hope is something we explore more in the DLC and possibly the third game.
Hmm yes we are a division (no pun intended) of them, but honestly I'm not sure how the whole leadership hierarchy works as we report directly to the President. But evidently McManus' and the Hunters goals aren't aligned with ours.
@RogueGold but they kind of are because the Hunter borrowed to Bardon Schaeffer attacked the rogue agents that season. So if you look back to survival how many of those dead agents littering the dark zone were rogue agents? Bigger question is the reason the Hunters were stopping agents from extracting the antivials because the snow storm messed up their systems too so they didn't know the good from the bad agents and they were just stopping everyone. That meaning friendly fire was preferable to letting a rogue escape with the antivials.
@aaronfilipowich3877 Except for more recently, Cal has allowed the Hunters to directly report to Natalya. They contributed to the attack on the White House and took out Lewis. It's possible McManus is playing the long game before revealing his true plan, but I think he just wants us out of the way before directly targeted Sokolova.
Thank you for doing this. I would love to ge this stuff but I HATE the descent game mode. I dont find it fun, I hate im held hostage using the equpiment and skills the game graces you with, the rewards are god awful, and it takes way too long to get to the nemesis on a perfect run.
Can somebody explain to me how playing same things over and over again makes sense only to hear some communication audio? Is there some new content in the game?

If you download Div2, you are downloading the NYC dlc automatically. The access is just locked as long as you don't buy it. I think if you refund it, it will lock you out of the character. However, have you tried the "Call for help"-function? A random player might join to help you get through the NYC story because you need to get the NYC story get done in order to return to DC. Also NYC dlc is mandatory for the seasonal content. So I would recommend you to not give up.

Ok, one, I thought this vid was about div 2's actual gameplay, not dumb collectable lol Two, I don't have dlc so I went out of my way to defeat the nemesis but I haven't gotten any collectable, just the div 2's horrible "rewards" system giving me what I could've gotten in the open world in a significantly faster time frame. I need dlc for collectable too don't i?
Yeah, if you're not level 40, then you're not going to see the newer loot. After finishing the main game, it leaves you at lvl. 30. Then finishing the DLC brings you up to lvl 40.
@everybodysfavoritenobody Anyone who plays Descent can get the collectibles, it doesn't matter if you have the DLC or not. After you complete the project each week, new entries can be found in Progression > Collectibles > Comms > Descent

The project should stick around forever, I think, until you collect all the comms in case you want to go back and get them 👍
@@RogueGold I run it a few times a week with some friends and get between loops 20-30 on average. Get a notification for subset collectible completed almost every run but never get the missing comms. I don’t know if it’s a PS specific issue but hopefully they fix it and allow us to get them in the future.
@xi-deadshot-ix5838 Those notifications are for a different thing altogether. You can only get one of these specific comms per week, as they're tied to the weekly Descent project, and it's only requirement is defeating the Nemesis. So clear the Nemesis once per week, and a new comm will show up under Progression > Collectibles > Comms > Descent
I haven't gotten any Descent comms as I still have yet to reach the Nemesis even once.

The original E3 trailer showed Brooklyn as a small slice of the total map that Div 1 was originally going to encompass. But they're building this new one from the ground up 👍
i played descent the first week, I didn't really like it and haven't been back
There is no depth to this game at all once you reach max SHD. Even introducing new modes adds very little other than the comms but for me and presumably you and many others that isn't enough.
Is it worth me redownloading it again? I haven’t played in over a year maybe and Descent + this lore drop sounds really interesting.
A new Season is about to begin with another new Endgame activity, so that + diving into all of the Descent stuff could be worthwhile!
This is why I dislike the whole season system in video games but LOVE channels like yours. I absolutely love the division story, but I fall pit of playing it every so often and I miss like 2 seasons amd since I miss them I miss the story that's involved and it sucks and is anoyying. I love your channel because you keep me updated even when I'm on my gaming breaks! Keep up the great work boss!

Thanks for the vid. While i dont play descent at all - i have observed hunters around the open world map - outside of the regular hunter missions and little easter eggs where they do appear in-campaign. Usually the indication of them being there is the hud going fuzzy then a smoke nade and flash going off in the periphery. Have you noticed this? Its evasive behavior on their end. They arnt opening fire. Ive observed it happening slightly more around the washington monument cp.
That's actually been a "feature" since launch, most people refer to them as Stalker Hunters. I don't know if it's intended to just be a cool easter egg, or if there's lore implications!

It's possible as we know so little about him, but his general demeanor in all of the comms plus the actions the Hunters have taken over time lead me to believe otherwise.

Yes they've confirmed there will be a reveal stream prior to Season 2's release. I think it's still most likely happening this coming Monday, but they're probably waiting to see how tonight's maintenance goes before making a final determination.

As someone who is intrigued and sucked in with the Division Story/Lore, I thank you for this video, it's greatly appreciated, though it bothers me that I'm still missing so much about the story after investing too much time taking it slow leaving no stones unturned and always out on my own as a solo (for reasons as not to be distracted from understanding the lore) 😅.
And speaking about the hunters, I've always been bothered why they've stalked us in Division 2 unlike Division 1, I always have this thought that maybe in the future we'll have a new ally which would later reveal him or herself as the hunter observing us from afar from all over in DC. Lol I don't even know if that would be possible as I'm still fairly young in the Division lore rabbit hole still discovering something new everyday.
By the way that bipedal Warhound looks creepy AF. They should make them appear more especially for Halloween events, that would be a good scare 😂. Cheers 🍻
There's definitely been a lot of lore, and it can be hard to track down after years of time. If you haven't already, I highly suggest checking out NGN here on TH-cam. He's got phenomenal recaps going back years now
@@RogueGold yea, NGN have great collection of Division lore videos, I've been watching him since I started Div 2, actually one of the reasons why I fell in love with the Division lore and the game as a whole, though I still feel like there's still something out there that I've missed and have to discover myself. I am really enjoying this season just finished the season events but a little miffed that the only Exotics i got i already had lol, Would like to try the game with other players and team up for Decent and the Tower to see how it plays with more than just me RnGing. Thanks for rounding up the lore a little as i was missing the Anna Log so had not heard the fact that ammerhurst had been involved in the events other than inventing the green toxin.

I miss Div1 even more now. That gritty atmosphere of winter and dealing with anarchy of early weeks after bioterrorist attack.
AI, robots, secret governents and their conspiracies many months or in DLC/Div 3 maybe years after the outbreak with virus pretty much gone just sounds not interesting to me.
One thing I always assumed was that Theo created the ‘rogue network’ aka ANNA, but we know through(spoilers)the books that the ANNA AI was already a)created and b)accessible through shd only tech. But this also opens up the #KeenerWasRight tag into a whole new light as well as his motives and why he went from angry and power hungry to a crazed Bond villain. Ok bear with me. Theo was already a conspiracy theorist. He was after some senator for k*lling his dad which is how Keener lured him in and like I said I assumed he created the AI the rogues used. But knowing now that a)ANNA was already there and b)that ISAC/ANNA recorded EVERYTHING to a central database could potentially mean Theo and by extention Keener, knew about Hunters, BT, Cal, and ultimately the entire plot they all hatched and executed behind everyone’s back. He would’ve seen all of it. And because we don’t know technically, when he approached Theo, we don’t know how early he might’ve known it all. If he got to to Theo say immediately after the DZ in the winter happened, he may have known all this while he was doing his stuff in the first game. My point is it gives Keener a whole new life and his actions a whole new perspective if he knew about all this cause Theo hacked ISAC and by extension Diamond and ANNA. That I hope is something we explore more in the DLC and possibly the third game.

Hmm yes we are a division (no pun intended) of them, but honestly I'm not sure how the whole leadership hierarchy works as we report directly to the President. But evidently McManus' and the Hunters goals aren't aligned with ours.
@RogueGold but they kind of are because the Hunter borrowed to Bardon Schaeffer attacked the rogue agents that season. So if you look back to survival how many of those dead agents littering the dark zone were rogue agents? Bigger question is the reason the Hunters were stopping agents from extracting the antivials because the snow storm messed up their systems too so they didn't know the good from the bad agents and they were just stopping everyone. That meaning friendly fire was preferable to letting a rogue escape with the antivials.
@aaronfilipowich3877 Except for more recently, Cal has allowed the Hunters to directly report to Natalya. They contributed to the attack on the White House and took out Lewis. It's possible McManus is playing the long game before revealing his true plan, but I think he just wants us out of the way before directly targeted Sokolova.

Thank you for doing this. I would love to ge this stuff but I HATE the descent game mode. I dont find it fun, I hate im held hostage using the equpiment and skills the game graces you with, the rewards are god awful, and it takes way too long to get to the nemesis on a perfect run.

These come from the Descent mode, which got added with the game's latest update.

If you download Div2, you are downloading the NYC dlc automatically. The access is just locked as long as you don't buy it.
I think if you refund it, it will lock you out of the character. However, have you tried the "Call for help"-function? A random player might join to help you get through the NYC story because you need to get the NYC story get done in order to return to DC. Also NYC dlc is mandatory for the seasonal content. So I would recommend you to not give up.

Two, I don't have dlc so I went out of my way to defeat the nemesis but I haven't gotten any collectable, just the div 2's horrible "rewards" system giving me what I could've gotten in the open world in a significantly faster time frame.
I need dlc for collectable too don't i?
Yeah, if you're not level 40, then you're not going to see the newer loot. After finishing the main game, it leaves you at lvl. 30. Then finishing the DLC brings you up to lvl 40.

@everybodysfavoritenobody Anyone who plays Descent can get the collectibles, it doesn't matter if you have the DLC or not. After you complete the project each week, new entries can be found in Progression > Collectibles > Comms > Descent
