no, it isn't. Because while pokemon has low-key scary stuff, eldritch horror just doesn't fit. It's also too broad of a term, and other types, like fairy, dark, dragon, psychic already fit potential pokemon
For the tapus, I could see ghost being the uniting type. They are in a sense spirits of the elements they are given and as such ghost could fit well. If not possibly fighting because their z move makes them into big punchy dudes.
I think it was because a lot of people would think a dark/fairy type would look amazing (myself included) and impadimp is not as cool as absol (more deserving of the fairy type than impadimp tbh)
2:47 The French version of Tooth Fairy is described as being a little mouse. Dedenne also steals electricity, which kinda falls under “Fairy mischief”.
Let's get a like petition to save lockstin from being forced to dress as a fairy at his own will. I ain't begging for likes i actually want to see if people agree.
All of the tapus could still be dual types based on their mythos. Koko: Electric fighting( based on Ku; god of war) Bulu: Grass/water (based on lono; a harvest and rain deity) Lele: psychic/flying (based on Kane, god of the sky) Fini: Water/ghost (based on Kanaloa; god of the sea and death)
Or the reverse of that, all of them sharing a Fighting type while keeping the secondary typings they are, like a second set of Swords of Justice. ... Though, replacing the Fairy type with Dragon to fit the raw magic and being legendary motifs would probably be the more fitting way to handle it.
When the logo comes up, Maxill looks like he just wants to be killed again, being dressed like that LOOL! He's just like "End my miserable unlife please? I'm done with it now that I've been humiliated like this.". Woooooow. XD
I think Fighting would make sense in tapu bulu, and bug in tapu lele. considering that, maybe it wont be unfair if all tapus were part grass or part psychic
That's true. Giving it a second typing of fighting ,or bug would make it a bit more logical however flying resists that, and if it's grass/fighting, or bug well it has a 4x weakness to flying now which it's enemy is. It'd have to get ice, rock, or electricity to stay effective against Yvettal, but the only vague way you could have any of them work would either be a massive stretch of logic, or require an entirely different theme than nature. Then again just cause the legendary are opposed doesn't mean it has to make sense typing wise. In gen 3 with the weather trio Groundon is weak to his direct opponent, and can't even hurt with his main type the other one. Against all logic the ground type pokemon standing on a small boulder in some water was holding it's own against the water type legendary. Hell if your playing the remakes of gen 3 Groundon gets a 4x weakness to water when he goes primal!
I guess if Fairy didn't exist, then instead of the Life Pokémon being strong against the -Death- Destruction Pokémon, it would've been the other way around. Which would've kinda made sense, since all things that live eventually die. -Death- Destruction wins in the end. But I guess that would've been a bit Dark (pun intended) for a game for kids.
I loved the fanart showcase at the end!!! So sweet!!! Also I'm really happy that one of my favorite types is being showcased the same month as my birthday!

For the tapus, I could see ghost being the uniting type. They are in a sense spirits of the elements they are given and as such ghost could fit well. If not possibly fighting because their z move makes them into big punchy dudes.
finally found a person that likes Impidimp. Im seriously more hyped for him than I am for Yamper
I think it was because a lot of people would think a dark/fairy type would look amazing (myself included) and impadimp is not as cool as absol (more deserving of the fairy type than impadimp tbh)
@@Alexmarill Well imps can be considered fairies so it makes perfect sense. Imo Absol would be better as Dark/Ice but thats just me
@@librathebeautifulwarmonk1283 that quad weakness to fighting tho, yeah I guess your right but absol gives off fairy vibes
Alcreamie is best Pokemon so far
@@treeman73272 I dont really like it, it reminds me too much of Slurpuff...
Lockstin be like “You get a normal type you get a normal type everybody gets a normal type!”
Hi I hope you r having a great day I love ur sense of humor btw
2:47 The French version of Tooth Fairy is described as being a little mouse. Dedenne also steals electricity, which kinda falls under “Fairy mischief”.
0:43 WTF DID YOU JUST BRING UPON THIS CURSED LAND!?
Something cute
Thank you for being above my comment, it's very fitting.
The little intro with Maxil was absolutely hilarious. I hope the rest of the videos in fairy month have that as well.
Let's get a like petition to save lockstin from being forced to dress as a fairy at his own will.
I ain't begging for likes i actually want to see if people agree.
waiting to see what you do for "Fire month" as I'm a fire type trainer. Oh, the speed and power. Charizard Y.
Then hydreigon would still stand on top of the dragon totem pole
All of the tapus could still be dual types based on their mythos.
Koko: Electric fighting( based on Ku; god of war)
Bulu: Grass/water (based on lono; a harvest and rain deity)
Lele: psychic/flying (based on Kane, god of the sky)
Fini: Water/ghost (based on Kanaloa; god of the sea and death)
For the tapu’s I like add grass to all of them, and have bulu be grass/fighting
Or the reverse of that, all of them sharing a Fighting type while keeping the secondary typings they are, like a second set of Swords of Justice. ... Though, replacing the Fairy type with Dragon to fit the raw magic and being legendary motifs would probably be the more fitting way to handle it.
When the logo comes up, Maxill looks like he just wants to be killed again, being dressed like that LOOL! He's just like "End my miserable unlife please? I'm done with it now that I've been humiliated like this.". Woooooow. XD
Looks at thumbnail
Sylveon from pokemon talk, is that you?
This is an amazing idea for a series, and I would love to see this for all the types!
Voice Cracks: *“It did not!”*
I think Fighting would make sense in tapu bulu, and bug in tapu lele.
considering that, maybe it wont be unfair if all tapus were part grass or part psychic
But your Xernias alt typing doesn't jive with the fact they are suppose to be opposed to Yvettal.
It'd probably get a stab signature move that's super effective to dark type or something instead of Geomancy
@@airysama8812 Honestly Xerneas should've been part Grass. :/
You're getting better at the advertisement segues, but honestly the single best thing about this video was Maxill in a tutu.
Sylveon also could be bug. Its eys r buglike enough and all the butterflies on its ribbon
That also goes for Tapu Lele considering it’s shell thingy resembles a butterfly.
@@wintertheampharos4725 hmm. That makes sense.
I loved the fanart showcase at the end!!! So sweet!!! Also I'm really happy that one of my favorite types is being showcased the same month as my birthday!
I think the Tapu's would be ghost, them being spirit's and all, but it's a pretty weak reasoning :/
That's a pretty good reason to me since Lockstin said the reason the food pokemon are fairy is because they smell nice...xD
lockstin: there wont be anothe eeveelution
swsh dlc: imma bout to end this man career
When I saw the video Title and picture I was like.. "NO MY SYLVEON"
If fairy wasn't introduced, then my hopes for a light type would still be alive.
Gnoggin Love the Tales of Plushie on the desk where did you get that XD
If the fairy type was never added, Hydreigon would be able to beat a lv.100 Jigglypuff
You're stupid aren't you?
About the tapus you can replace the fairy type with flying because they are floating
Like for example Flabebe Grass type
Can't wait to see Mimikyu as a unloved pikachu who ran away due to all the clone pikachus become canon.
We wouldn’t have a fairy type
I would have thought the Florges line would be pure Psychics, rather than Grass, to keep that whole "Why are they not grass" thing going, and to show they are more mystical than the Normal type would suggest.
I still wish that Fairy type had been called Light type instead
But then people would complain about none of them being lightbulbs.
Satzzz same it was a very wasted opportunity and quite frankly a mistake on there part
i feel like the tapus would all be grass types and tapu bulu would be either ground or rock (considering it's found in the desert) for its other type
Video: Uploads a video of ''What if Pokemon never added Fairy Types?''
Gamefreak: Fairy type Pokemon needs to be changed to Light Type, or any other Type of Pokemon
7:08 to be fair, probably many of those pokemon would have been fairy if that had existed yet. I wonder why they didn't get it, maybe GF didn't wanted to alter legendaries?
Magikarp is a water type despite not being H2O tho
just wanted to say I bought your parody patches on your website and love them! hope you think of more!
Also love the intro with maxil as a fairy it's so cute XD
That added the fairy to balance other types like dragon, dark, and fighting
Dark and Fighting weren't OP like Dragons.
@@Nosretep fighting was like the best type in gen 5
fairy was also added to buff steel and poison offensively, although as if steel types needed that
@@Nosretep Dark yes, fighting is a broken type, while dragon has better Pokemon with bettwr stats
@@librathebeautifulwarmonk1283 No it was. Especially with Psychic and Flying type moves being extremely common.
About Shiinotic - More evidence for Ghost type could be found in it's name. Given that it's a mushroom, Shii is most likely a reference to Shiitake mushrooms, but Shi ALSO can mean Death in Japanese (different character than used in Shiitake, but phonetically, it's the same).
Please do Velvet Crowe for this month's Smash video, she is equivalent to a Dark and Fairy type, she's a badass Daemon eater (she'd get along great with Bayonetta), She part of the "brave acronym" leak and fits companion theory, She's a better option than Tingle for Fairy month, She's a Bandai Namco character who is better than Heihachi, SHE IS *PERFECT* FOR SMASH!
Velvet for smash, I'm changing my main and slurping my own balls if that happens
idk why but i love how expressive you are with your movements lol
I specialize fairy types cuz they are soooo cute and op. I must have at least 2 of them on my team. Everytime i see a dragon i be like OOOOOOOO SNACK TIME
Mimikyu could also be Dark type because it’s said in its Pokédex entries that if you see under its disguise you’ll be horrified by what you see and scarred for life and stuff . That’s pretty Dark if you ask me
Damn you edit so well I could use some tips for my channel but I’m mobile
Gnoggin straight up looks like how I pictured my rival as a kid
