That was probably from somewhere way shallower, that river in Guyana is at least 40 ft deep. Definitely was a recreation.

Yeah 90% of the scenic transition type shots and the dramatic underwater stuff is definitely set up recreated shots and are to make watching from your couch a little more gripping hah

Saw my first rivermonsters in the recovery room when my first child was born. Jeremy Wade has been house hold name here ever since. You turning those animals loose earned my respect in a world where very few will get a passing glance. Thank you Mr. Wade.

It is amazing he would spend all that time and money, for just minutes with those animals, also the show doesn't really sugar coat it and treats us as a smart individual, exploring all possibilities and rumours, such respect.

When I saw the title I thought to myself "oh must be when the cameraman was struck by lightning" but no, very mistaken

Oooo that lightning strike its true scary. I hear I've seen and I've been in places where it's Zeus if there is some kind of dry ground with little gravel and stone it's booom and feel dizzy because of loud and dust stone crush from explosion kinda like landmine trigger near by

Its human nature, same thing happens in parking lots
Cameramans moment when he decides which is more important, his paycheck/hard work (holding the camera) or his life..staying rational under all the pressure and chaos and still has time to make decisions..the only reason why he is alive, he stayed rational, not sure about calm but definitely strong presence of mind..glad everyone made it safely..
Honestly I’ve watched this show so much and it’s so underrated it’s not on Netflix or Disney plus but it’s fabulous

Hey that's my country it's crazy in those rivers and jungle over there no joke
You must come to Poland because my brother had proper fishing gear and a fish was on, but instead of going downstream the fish was swimming from side to side, and it was so strong that it was pulling the rod side to side until the rod went down and a 50lbs line snapped like a twig and when we the fish turned around a massive tail around the size of a head came out and went back to the water
How does a boat run over another boat when everyone is going in same direction?
The water has a whole lot more drag than air, planes will sometimes jerk left or right when the drag increases

@@BlackMamba-lt8oe it's the only one actually, if they hit a rock they would've said so, they just abruptly rode over the boat next to them so it's likely drag.

I’ve been to a jungle in Belize and it’s the most uncomfortable place ive ever been. It’s so hot and humid it’s impossible to stay dry.
What's with the little TM next to your channel name and how did you do that?
Imagine getting pulled down the bottom by the camera and opening you eyes to see nothing but murky water that he most definitely knows has dangerous creatures swimming in it, yet he knew I needed the footage so he held on until he realized he would drown if he hadn't let go. The 6 or 7 second swim back to top knowing something could snatch your foot or grab you at any moment must have been absolutely terrifying on top of almost drowning.
I would mide to 👂 Jeremy Wade talk for hours on end

Quick question, are there no crocodiles in the area? One of the locals was in the water (i think doing something to the boat). And not just this clip. whenever jeremy catches river monsters, he will chill with it in the water, at least waist deep, and i just think with all the splashing the fish made, wouldnt crocs be attracted and maybe sneak up?

I didnt take this guy as serious as I should have when I was a kid. This guys was legit
