    MITSUBISHI TENSEI PRO CK BLUE & TENSEI PRO CK WHITE by Mitsubishi Rayon
    Australian PGA Professional Alan Staines hit the Tensei shafts from mitsubishi rayon and talks numbers and feel for which one is better
    TENSEI CK Blue's multi-material design includes an extended Carbon Fiber/DuPont™ Kevlar® weave in the butt-section that refines and stabilizes the shaft's overall bend profile and improves feel.

    All depends how you load the shaft. The White is a high kick point shaft, Blue mid-kick so will feel smoother to many. I picked up the Blue (previous version) off eBay for 10 quid! I haven't tipped it yet, but I'm interested to see how it performs for me..
    Great that you're doing shafts Alan! Through the years its become obvious to me that different people are affected by the shaft design more than others.. Then the people who are least affected propagate the idea that "shaft doesn't matter" nonsense (Crossfield) whereas for some of us its huge..

      +Woden of the Angles that's right. Shaft is something. More feel than anything, but if you load the shaft longer, a shaft will effect numbers more than someone who unloads shaft earlier

      Look at Sergio Garcia. He LOADS the hell out of the shaft AKA "creates lag"

    What I did I’m short and play a 44” but instead of cutting the butt off to make the handle section stiffer. I went and cut an inch off the tip too give me a close feel too the Tensei White… but now I stopped using the tensei shafts and went with the Ventus Black. I love that shaft. It feels like a more beefed up version of the tensei shafts. Able to swing as hard as I can and still keep face in control. It’s well worth a try even the blue is very good but the black suited me so much better it doesn’t have high rpm spin. My swing speed is 170mph

    Mitsubishi make some nice shafts and a lot of them come as standard options with Titleist.

    Looking well mate :) love the info as always. I was thinking of getting the blue board and modding it for the cobra but I'll have to give this a look after 7.months of not playing haha

      Get into it keithy. They are a top shaft. Basically the same as the diamana blue and white.

      AUSSIE GOLF REVIEWER I'm completely soft I can't even lie about it hahaha. Yea I have the blue board in that titlist 2 hybrid.. the strikes and confidence it gives is amazing and I would put that down to the amazing feeling of the shaft cause it's solid not super stiff and it's not like you have a fishing rod in your hands so if this is the next step I can't wait :)

    white tip is stiffer real similar too the kurokage shafts. blue too me feels like the bend is more in the middle. for me the blue would always make my face open at impact. the white I felt like was more stiffer in the tip which suited me better.

    Great to see some shaft testing and explainations of feel and as you mentioned thats very important.
    I`ve just gone through a similar thing and founf that the Kiyosho Purple suited my swing feeling the best and it delivered a great flight.
    I can`t believe some people`s reactions over the price of shaft`s..The shaft is the most important thing.
    So buy the best you can afford as like everything else in life you get what you pay for.....most of the time anyway hehe

      Blue series Mitsubishi shafts feel so smooth yet they are stable and maintain dispersion. Unless you swing 110 consistently then White is the one but id not then it may feel too stiff aka boardy.

    • @AUSSIEGOLFREVIEWER

    At 111 mph club head speed with those temps you should be north of 280+. All arms no body and no legs. You could be north of 285-300 if you get those legs and gluts engaged. I swing at 105mph and north of 275 all day and 54 yrs with very easy flow.

    • @BaBaBooeyWRLD
      @BaBaBooeyWRLD 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Boron Tip is a giveaway that its an aftermarket (Pro). Also the Pro has more exposed carbon fiber from the white band up towards the handle/grip and I think the K from CK will be white instead of the same color. Theres usually a sticker under the grip too but thats not convenient, lol.

    Are these different to the stock shafts they use when selling clubs.
    My mate just went and bought a tensi blue and spent £300 on it and the guy told him the ones in stock clubs are built with same stuff but watered down versions of the real macoy. So potentially a stock shaft £70 and a custom tensi £300. Is this true.
    Thanks
    Ian
    Im hoing to go try a tensi xstiff white stock shaft in a m3. Swing speed 105-108 there abouts. Is this something that will suit me or what would you recommend.

    • @BaBaBooeyWRLD
      @BaBaBooeyWRLD 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      X flex may work for your swing and not just your swing speed. 105-108 is on the high end of Stiff on paper but try to hit both if possible to see which flex yields better results. The aftermarket (Pro) has tighter tolerances, QC and combines 11 different prepreg materials etc etc.

      Hitting it as hard as you naturally do is ok, slowing down too much can lead to just as bad or worse shots than flogging it
