How to become a good driver?...
Use common sense , not relay on machines power
Understand the limits of the car you drive, whatever it is.
Push it to the limits only on the open roads.
Always keep the mirrors and windshields clean and the sprinkler tank filled to the brim.
Find a better driving position.
Always anticipate the worse is going to happen any time.
All these might help you.
Lighting tip : Try bouncing the light off the ceiling 😁
A cheap tungsten light would work well.
They didn't expected they will have to face exposure problems😂
Otherwise world would have been so better place to live in... 😋
Super post folks. You literally ran us through this ride, of some cars that we dreamed of having in our garage (my wife & me) before marriage & also later in our life. Perhaps such common interests are cords that pulled us close, before marriage and now hold us together, 26 years since. Thank you
What cars you and wife own?
@@MG-fi9ir Inova 2.8Z & Volvo S60-D4
And before, our good old Maruti 800, a MB S320-L V6 & VW Passat CC3.6
I once thought that the Ambassador MK 4 was the best car ever! Those days 60 Kmph was the greatest speed we could imagine.
It still is..a stock condition mark 4, original petrol looks majestic..
MK 4 ❤️
Great video. You guys missed a few cars, which I thought would make to this list
1. YETI 4X4
2.Duster AWD
3. FIGO S TDCI
4.FORTURNER GEN 2
5.CIVIC SPORT
Duster 4wd and yeti 4x4
Proud to be a Lancer owner. 2 lakhs km completed still running my beast smoothly..❤️🤗
Thats awesome. I have seen some lancers with more than 2 lakhs km on the ODO and they were still going strong! You have a lot more kms to enjoy it :)

Lighting issue und video il. But we are watching this video not just for the video, but the great content which you always bring. So its fine 👍
33:33 Vivekji slowly dying inside when JD talks about fiat 500 parts is gold 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice topic. As already mentioned by a few, some major misses for me among affordable SUV-s: Renault Duster AWD, Skoda Yeti and Ford Endeavour 2016.
I drove a Duster for almost 10 years and 100,00 km. It’s brilliant ride quality, sorted highway manners and bulletproof reliability are somethings I will always miss!
12 years and 2L kms on a Punto MJD, and moving on to a Tiago.ev next year.. Good to see they are at #1 and #2 on your list though for different variants.. :)
@phatedk Same here. 12 years proud owner of FIAT Punto 1.3 Emotion Pack. Now planning to switch to TATA Nexon EV Max.
2009 Punto with me
200,000+ kms
How will you adjust with an Indian made Tata brand. After using Italian FIAT
1. M-800 5 speed
2. Baleno 1st gen (the one vivekji has)
3. Pajero
4. Safari storm
5. Ford figo last gen 1.5 diesel
6. Ritz Vdi/zdi
7. Nano twist
8. Jetta diesel
9. Polo 1.0 tsi at
10. Skoda rapid tdi
Lovely discussion. Enjoyed it thoroughly :)
I was wondering how could you miss Fiesta 1.6 s. I owned a TDCI though from 2006-11, that was one car that made me experience and learn what handling of a car means to an enthusiast.
I currently own two of the cars you discussed - Laura(TDI though) and 1.3 Mpfi Gypsy. and I'm patiently waiting for Thar exactly in the guise which you guys prefer - Diesel AT hardtop.
Pajero is one car which has been playing on my mind for long. May be some day when I find a good example.
Few other cars which were/are desirable for me are Lancer, MK 1 Octavia, Pajero, Polo and Ignis.
Do keep these topics coming.. More power to you !
cheers..

I was looking for the Fiesta comment

Love these "kaadukeral episodes". Need more of these. Much love ❤
Awesome content guys!
What JD said about Qualis is absolutely true. I learned to drive in Qualis. Even though its huge I always felt it very easy to drive.
Its driver seat is so commanding that you can navigate through traffic easily.
Never got that feel in any of the modern cars.
Still going at 3 lakh km/22 yrs.
Nice video guys.. consider doing a video about vehicle maintenance like what you should do while giving a car for regular service or what all should consider brand, cost etc while replacing tyres of cars..
"കാടു കയറൽ ," I like it a lot.👍
നവംബർ 1 കേരളപ്പിറവി ദിനം - I am very happy that both of them came.A lot of things have been said in the time available.Thank you very much. Science corner itself is enough. Please come soon.❣️❣️
Can you do an episode on 2022 cars you would buy with your own money in each segment..?
1. Micro hatchback -
2. Mini hatchback -
3. Luxury hatchback -
4. Sub-4 meter sedan -
5. Full size sedan -
6. Sub-4 meter Sub -
7. Full size sedan - etc...
This video is too relatable for me !! The problem with jtp was enthusiasts were all gaga over the car .. but no one picked up .. one car I really regret picking one up was abarth punto .. i had a 1.6 zxi ikon .. as vivekji said that’s one car i would love having it back in my garage 😢 .. always fancied picking up a k10 as a town car .. and 1.6 s cross what a car even 1.3 is good .. well sorted dynamics too ..sometime in the future might bring in a thar 🙌🏻..
Thanks Remin
Some you missed which are my favourites - ambassador, nano, Padmini, contessa , cruze, Octavia, Gurkha , ecosport , Getz, zen, xuv500, reva
It's nice to know that I've owned some of the cars in this wishlist!
S cross , Nissan micra and Honda Brio . Beautiful cars.
I still love to see you guys talking inside a car!! ❤️
Ingane oru video varaan aagrahichirunnu❤
💯
I am so happy that you guys love the cars which I thought I'd be the only one still loving it... Made my day... ❤️❤️
1. A-Star automatic
2. Pajero and Montero
3. S- cross, 1.6 d with 320 Nm😘
4. Finally the Thar... 👍🏼( its a universal choice🤣🤣 )
Always waiting for your videos...😌
My "reasonably priced temptation" has been Pajero Sport MT. For a slightly more modern version of an old school 4x4, which can take the whole family anywhere.
For me the achievable would be
S-cross 1.6
4th Gen City (Petrol)
1.Low light........
Either add more light source or increase exposure
2.The light on the left side is two bright when viewed om screen
You guys come up with really interesting topics to discuss! Very relatable for most enthusiasts. This is like teenage stuff! awesome!
I was a fan of 1.5 litre diesel engine which Ford offered, and that engine really made sense in the Freestyle.. I did test drive one and gone crazy with the kind of torque it offered. Unlike Ecosport, the feel was different when the same engine was inside a hatchback.. Very powerful car and under 10 lakhs it made really good sense, disappointed to see them discontinued.. Freestyle in Ruby Red colour looked gorgeous! 🔥
Completely agree...
I have the Figo 1.5 diesel. Once you get the feel of that engine it is very difficult to look at other options, at least in the hatchback segment. It is as fast/faster than majority of the cars under 15L
Vivekji pandu crv il petrol adichu oraale impress cheytha katha orkkunnu.. veendum enthukondu wishlist il.
I seriously consider a-star, brio and old vitara and waiting for right one. Also rav4.
I hadn't heard about Indian convertibles. Please consider an episode on it. Wanting to know more..
1.6 S cross was a game changer for maruti.. really good suspension unlike others...
Kizashi and grand vitara 2.4 are also suzuki's desirable cars
I have one 1.6 Alpha 👍👍👌👌
I got to drive the very rare Alto VX 1.1. It's crazy how a better engine can change the perception about a car. The 3cyl F8D Alto is a budget car and it feels like it. But due to the incredible tractability, strong torque delivery and vibe free nature of 4cyl F10D, Alto 1.1 doesn't feel like a budget car at all. It feels like it belongs to a higher segment. It's crazy because apart from engine, Alto 1.1 is exactly same as 800cc Alto.
I love the X trail 2010 and Mitsubishi Montero 2012 . These cars were just too ahead of it's time
Hyundai Santro...peppiness and stability it offers is awesome though it runs out of breath in the highways can be considered as a any day city car...also gear shifts too are worth mentioning
not a car related comment, but if you can dim the light on Vivek's right it would have a better lighting effect. The light actually is a little harsher on the eyes
I second the thought. Was about the write the same. Any light source is better placed in front of you guys and preferably hidden from camera
Completely agree...it's harsh and actually distracting!
same thought .. actually painting the background wall grey like hardware unboxed would make it look a lot classier and a lot easier on the eyes..
Will correct it next time. Consider this a failed experiment
@@willscarlet3172 i was thinking some abstract posters of cars. We are discussing interiors and lighting while listening to them discussing cars 😂
I'm impressed by your photographic memory of the cars that you talk about.
Wonderful video, just made the day....👌🏻😍
From your list, I personally wish to own a few cars:-
1. Qualis
2. A-Star automatic
3. Alto 1.1L
4. Ignis
5. S-Cross 1.6MJD
And obviously the last one, Mahindra Thar, Diesel automatic, hard top... All of them being pretty practical in daily usage...
Just loved your usual "kaadu kayaral" happening here too...
Thanks for the video bros... 👍🏻💙😊
may i know why do u have an Astar in ur list plss?
Resale prices jst went up😃
@@Mr.Hedonixt There are very good reasons behind it.
1. The automatic is a reliable and simple torque converter unlike newer hatchbacks with AMT.
2. A-Star is a wonderful city car and a practical beater car with its compact size.
3. Overall quality, fit and finish, interiors are very good. Not simply a Maruti, but truly a Suzuki car.
4. The 1L engine is as usual less-thirsty.
5. Design may be polarizing, but I personally like the looks of it.
Hyundai i10 and Astar automatic which is best. I have plan to buy an used one as my first car
@@unaism4994 You may go for i10 with 1.2L Kappa engine since you'll get plenty of used examples and options of features to choose from, as compared to A-Star. On the other hand, A-Star has a 1L engine and simple features which is just adequate for a city car, but lesser examples may be available in the used market. Both of them are very good cars for beginners.
When choosing i10, keep in mind that you shouldn't go for 1.1L one.
New thar is the one I agree the most. It’s very tempting and desirable for many of us but it’s too pricey to get hold on to. And thinking of running costs and insurances over years it always makes me think again. But we all want a thar at some point of time, when it’s affordable at my own economic stability I definitely want one “HT Diesel Auto”. And most importantly use it as I want. Most of the time when we reach an economic situation to afford one we won’t have much opportunity to use it to its fullest, not like going off-road but as a take anywhere you want car, feel safe, confident, don’t worry about breaking anything. It’s that usual saying “when you have money you don’t have time to enjoy it”. It’s not about the cars we want but want it at the right time at the right place and enjoy that time, that’s what majority of people lack. But a few has that luck. And when we don’t have that moment we say “daddy’s money” for some manasugham. 😂😂.
ഡ്രൈവിങ് പഠിച്ച വണ്ടി..... Toyota Qualis❤️ Pre-face list ❤️ and it still runs perfect!

But sadly the value of that lil one is insane even we'd sold one in our family for nearly 1.8 lakhs

Thought you guys would mention about Chevy optra SRV
Volkswagen Jetta TDI
Hyundai Sonata Embera 😊
Since, u both have different tastes, its really interesting AWA informative to many audience adding their knowledge resulting change in their preferences !!
Appreciate that humorously u guys mentions the flaws with German/Italian/British makers and that remind about the knowledge their owners need to gain reg: the same !!
Would love ! if explained the Honda i-Vtec working (in an SOHC Vs DOHC difference. What a dedicated exhaust cams can add to it's flow), reg: weight & maintenance/complexity difference too. And how come Honda petrol's gives good low end torque ? I mean in PFI not new GDI.
Loved the Innova engine science corner !!
Good Luck !
Both of you said you love to own a current gen Thar but you never do a review of it. We would all love to see it. Just like you I have always wanted to buy one and hope some day it happens. Seeing a review of the thar from talking cars would always be a delight since that would give us a glimpse of thar from a real world perspective not as an off-roader but a simple day to day car able to handle our roads where speed limits are under 90 and roads end and off-road road begins (which can at any time become pot hole filled needing simple off-road capabilities).
