Well I was looking to get the A53 from consumer cellular because I was wanting to get something better than the Motorola Stylus I was using. They were going for $449 but all of a sudden were out of stock. Then after a while the A54 shows up for $300 so I jumped on it. Very happy so far. Feels like a lot like the S8 plus I used to have...maybe better. Beautiful screen.
Am currently using A53 5G. I don't think of upgrading anytime soon until wireless charging is added to either A55, A56, or A57. The only thing that will make me upgrade is wireless charging. If not, I will use this my A53 until it stops working completely.

I just got the A53 a few days ago from an S9. Didn't want to drop a grand on a phone. The A53 does the job for me. Don't really use the fingerprint. I'm old school pass codes haha.
You should definitely start using the Fingerprint scanner instead of a pass code because you will have a much more secure phone lock so people that try to get access to your phone will have a hard time trying to get in since they would need your Fingerprint to unlock it.
I have the A53 5G for a year and love it. There is no need to upgrade for the next 4 years. Wireless charging shortens battery life; so I won't be needing that either.

I have the a53 around a month now. Overall I like it when in behaves. Although I experience stutter/lag especially when using apps like uber, So I am having a bit of buyers remorse. But there is no guarantee that wouldn't happen with the a54.

Regarding screen: According to Samsung, both phones have the same VIEWABLE area at 6.3" minus the camera space. I only mention it because I'd never thought about that myself
@viralusername The a52 5g which I currently have has the SD750g still is fast & is still a good phone, with the android 13 ui 5.1 update I got it seems to have never ran better and I could honestly probably get one more year out of it but I just want a new phone and the a54's 1,000 nits adaptive display compared to 800 nits, and the 5,000mah battery compared to 4,500mah, wifi 6 over wifi 5, Bluetooth 5.3 over 5.?, louder speakers, better camera, better build, a few more years of software updates. Those reasons alone are enough to get me to upgrade, plus I prefer the 19.5:9 aspect ratio over the taller slimmer 20:9

A slightly taller phone is ok if it's narrower to hold and will fit in a pocket . Both are very similar capable phones. If you already have the A53 then carry on; if you’re upgrading from previous models then enjoy your new A54.

Exynos 1280 is now so bad that even Exynos 1330 in A14 5G is better than that 1280 in A53 5G, and we all know that A14 5G is a lot cheaper than A53 5G
