My wife and I went to South America for five months a few years ago and I STRUGGLED with the altitude hikes at first but laguna 69 was the first hike that I was able to breeze thru. There were points where I was skilling thru this hike. Absolutely loved it... Changing landscapes and the payoff at the end was incredibly worth it.

You made it, well done. That lake & waterfall look pretty amazing with the snow capped mountains in the background, just beautiful. Plus you got to pat your favourite animal on the way down, how random was that, he must’ve known you were coming. Miss you both, love you, mum.xx 🫏

En su lugar fuimos a la laguna Parón que es igual de hermosa y espectacular. Lo bueno es que el bus nos dejó justo en la misma laguna, no tuvimos que caminar nada. Saludos.
I did the Salkantay Trek to Macchu Picchu last year and am itching to get back. I've been seeing this hike a bunch so I might do it. Thanks for the inspiration.

We actually went with the company that was at our hotel! we stayed at the Lhost Hotel if that helps at all! But it honestly looks like they're all the same, just find the best price!

Yes! I (Emily) was buggered by the time we got back to our hotel, I think the elevation got me a little bit! But wow was the lake worth it 💙
