@Eric Hughes Well Wicked is more "filmable" than Cats. As Wicked actually has story structure and dialogue. I believe in the hand of good filmmakers, it can be as good as the adaptation of Chicago and Dreamgirls
another reason I love them was because they weren't overly excessive on the romance. Norbert and Idina (IMO) showed intense passion and the soft touches in their blocking just made me FEEL the sexual tension. It fits the characters, how they would act themselves, how they would act around each other, and it's sweet and romantic because it's gentle and soft; they don't look like they're about to pounce on each other on stage like other performances I've seen. There's lust, sure, but I think they made me feel the love between the characters more than anything else :)

I saw this in London in 2006 with Idina Menzel (her final performance as Elphaba), and Adam Garcia was Fiyero. They had great chemistry together. I do wish I'd have seen all the original cast though.
I think I’m probably in the minority, but I think he’s my favorite Fiyero of the many I’ve watched clips of. Although he may not have the very best voice, he seems more genuine than a lot of other actors in the role.

Don't be surprised if any of the elphaba actresses do a touch up on the green. Often times when intermission starts, the actress who does elphaba is normally in a chair either greening themselves up or they have a makeup artist who greens them up more.
Elphaba does get greener as the scenes go on as she is getting older and they want her face to look mature and well as they say it, more.... Wicked. Hope it helps! :)

When i saw it I think Elphaba got greener as the scenes went on
Don't be surprised if any of the elphaba actresses do a touch up on the green. Often times when intermission starts, the actress who does elphaba is normally in a chair either greening themselves up or they have a makeup artist who greens them up more.
Elphaba does get greener as the scenes go on as she is getting older and they want her face to look mature and well as they say it, more.... Wicked. Hope it helps! :)
