Apparently, in the presentation, Sakurai specifically mentioned with the grab boost that it makes the dragon arm stronger, AS WELL AS boosting its laser. So the fact about the up special makes sense, and the arm is always stronger no matter what. It was so briefly mentioned that I only remember the laser being different, but the arm as a whole is stronger when boosted! EDIT: Also, yes, I did change the thumbnail/title 24 hours after I initially released this video. Real ones remember the OG title
Julian Kroon Really, I’ve tried to do that usual method and it doesn’t work. But do you have to unload all 8 stickybombs or does it not matter? I only fire off 2 before I switch to a shield. Is there a specific stickybomb launcher or shield I have to use to get it to work?

I'm genuinely shocked to find someone in the comments who knows the origin of that phrase. It was a fantastic read and I adopted it into my everyday vocabulary 👌
Random fact: this version's patch also changed the Z position and maybe damage (albeit slightly) of Daisy's pummel, but didn't list it in the patch notes. This may've led to a glitch with Daisy's dress that was later posted onto Twitter, where it looked like she had a short skirt instead of a dress. However because of a lack of details, no one managed to recreate it yet as far as I know.
I think it’s funny that they added a few characters with more than 4 “special moves” like hero and joker depending on jokers state and then they added a fighter with only one true special moves
About the spirits thing: I tested a bunch of things to make a Min Min spirit set using Min Min's equippable spirit and if you use a support like Victini (which boosts all smash attacks), it will work for both arms. The support spirit that boosts "physical attacks", however, does not work. In the Italian version of the game her ARMS are described as "weapons" so I assume you'd need a weapons+ support spirit to boost your normal attacks too. Speaking of spirits, the new one that was added (Max Brass) gives you the reverse lighting effect once you reach 85-90% and it is possible to use this in combination with mega smash on stages where mushrooms and lightings don't even appear (like Terry's KOF stage). I managed to snap some nice screenshots using Ridley and Pichu on that stage thanks to this awesome new spirit! Another thing I wanted to mention is: for the screwattack test you wanted to carry out you could have just used a spirit or custom/special smash. Finally, a miscellanous fact about Min Min: when she does her forward roll she does a move called "aerial" (using parkour/tricking terms). It might look like a one-handed cartwheel at first but I'm confident that it's an aerial! Oh and also her backthrow is a meaty, jaw-dropping suplex Incineroar style! One last thing I'd like to mention is that her slow walk is a very nice nod to how martial artists approach their opponent. This detail of keeping your feet in the same position is not even in ARMS itself (as I saw a side-by-side comparison). In Smash when you walk REALLY slowly she keeps her left foot in front of her, in her stance and ready to throw down like a true Kung-Fu fighter!
The "physical attack" and "fist attack" support spirits do boost her ARMS attacks (Using Sagi I got 16.4% (Dragon) with a support and 14.9% without). Ramram's returning hit is affected by "weapon attack" support spirits and not "physical/fist".
Fun fact: KOing the Starman assist trophy has an effect where the word smash is typed out when you ko him. This is a reference to Earthbound, where, if you get a critical hit, the word smash will appear. You may already know this, but I wanted to point it out anyway. Somebody probably didn't know this.
You know PK Beats, I don't know why, but for me your videos are like a relaxation outlet. I know I won't remember half of the facts of each video for very long yet I watch all of them. Can't explain why, I guess your voice is just nice to listen to!
I don't know if you've went over this already, but I was doing World of light, as Dedede, fighting against the Lakitu and Spiny Spirit. I used my final smash on one of the tiny Bowsers, and as you know, Final smashes return characters to their normal sizes. But when the tiny Bowser returned to normal size, it didn't look like he had any hit animations. I'm pretty sure this is because The tiny Bowsers are supposed to stay small, and returning to its normal size probably cancelled out its animation or something.
"Most of my audience if fairly casual" Me: Just finished giving tips about reducing chances of stick drift on the pro controller for more precise inputs. After watching melee tech video
If you have a spirit that equips you with a Screw Attack and use it on Spring Stadium, you’ll actually get to use the screw attack. I tried using it on the bounce pads, but it just used screw attack normally and ignored the bounce pad. You normally can’t keep the screw attack long enough to where the bounce pads activate, but what I did was pocket the opponent’s screw attack using Villager when they dropped it, and saved it for when the bounce pads activated. I thought it would be glitchier but it wasn’t
@@FFKonoko the added franchise stamps next to each spirit. If there is one missing, we won't rule it out. If there is, let's rule it out as less likely.
The reason why the jump pad's damage doesn't change unless you're big or small is most likely because it's not the jump pad itself damaging the enemy, but the aura around your character when using it. And very likely similar to the Impact Run effect from a Spirit, it's not coded as an actual attack, thus a Xerneas boost or something similar wouldn't affect it.
Fun Fact: Min Min's aerial smash-input Side B is considered a smash attack by the game. The easiest way to prove this is to get the Poison Smash Attack and Healing Smash Attack skills on the World of Light skill board. From my testing, these skill effects do not apply to her smash-input A-button f-air or b-air, but do for her B-button versions. On the same note, the damage-over-time effect from Poison Smash Attacks works on Giga Bowser, but my testing suggested it does not affect any other boss, nor does Joker's side B have the same result (it doesn't do anything besides the initial damage to any boss). Most likely this is due to Giga Bowser being an incomplete but functioning fighter, just given a boss's slow AI patterns and stamina bar.
You can choose your victory screen by pressing and keeping the Up, left or right button press with the D-PAD when the "Game!" appears! It always works. If you press down, it will be random!
The part I found the coolest about this video wasn't all the min min stuff, it was landing an actual good shot with the Direct Shit/Miss/Best Melee wep. Well played to you my good sir
The Change to Riddley's down special on enemies was mentioned in the patch notes, and tested by gimr, if the opponent is in a state of grab invulnerability (such as after being grabbed) the stun and zoom in effect won't happen, if they are in a state such that they can be grabbed then the move will stun
7:57 that is pretty sad that her final smash only affects one opponent. It really does solidify my idea that she is a true 1v1 fighter since she really can't do much against multiple opponents. Her laser can punch through opponents and ram ram can hit multiple targets, but Megawatt and the Dragon (without laser) will just bounce off the first target it hits. I've tried her in 4 tag team match (I had Terry as her partner) and she just suffers. She can do damage but because she has to sit still for almost all her strong moves, other opponents will just gang up on her. If you were to avoid using ground smash attacks, you'd have to be constantly jumping and using Megawatt to try and land kill punches. IMO she is strong but only if she is fighting 1 targets and will start getting harder to play the more enemies there are on the field. I almost had a 9.9 run on classic mode with her (finished with 9.8) but the ROB level was what ruined it for me due to the sheer numbers and the high intensity when you get to it.
I want to add that after labbing the t pose setup, the nair is not needed whatsoever. You simply need to side tilt into side smash with ANY arm combination, followed by a buffered taunt (all work again). Taunts can also be buffered by holding it so you do t even need to worry about timing.
The kick reflect is sortof true to the game. In arms, if min min doged backwards, or dodged in the air. She will do a spin kick that blocks incoming arms. Also, her dragon arm appears after a throw in arms, or if she fully charges her arms. It gives her left arm a permanent charge until she's knocked down
There are 3 different victory screens for each character, they can be individually be chosen by pressing either Left, Up, or Right on the D-Pad before the game ends. (Right after the last opponent dies, and the word “GAME” shows up on screen)
On the subject of min mins arm staying the same when you respawn, there is an exception. If you die in classic mode and spend money or a ticket to respawn, you'll start with the ramram, regardless of what you had when you died
ARMS Change actually does have a cooldown, the ARMS change on frame 1 but you are locked out from changing for 3 more frames, and you can't buffer the next one. You can change every 4 frames though, which is very quick still
I can understand reflecting up smash sounds weird if you haven't played ARMS, but reflecting ARMS with her kicks is one of Min Min's signature abilities in the game so it's a perfect reference
Little fun fact about the pads in Spring Stadium: The jump boost actually has a sourspot When I was using Bowser against Mario to test if weight had a factor in the damage, Bowser did less than the usual 25.2% when he was facing Mario, but did the normal damage when his back was to Mario And yeah, bonus fact I guess: Bowser's hitbox is apparently weird
13:43 for the record, this set-up was patched out before the recent skewer changes. I cannot remember which patch it was specifically, though, but Ridley became unable to properly skewer buried opponents.
Fun Team Fortress 2 fact: The Trophy Belt only consists of the “belt” itself, and any cosmetics that remove the stock hat (Master’s Yellow Belt for example) will leave a floating Trophy Belt above Sniper’s head. And unlike the Soldier’s Stash and the Mining Light, the Trophy Belt isn’t a misc, so you can’t stack the Trophy Belt with other hats, despite the fact that the Trophy Belt isn’t tied to the stock hat.
Fact:On the Splatoon stage omega form last stock the cats in the background will hold up a color depending on whos winning if P2 is winning then the cats will hold up a blue color to show that P2 is winning works on all other players up to 8 @PK Beats
7:56 If you watch closely, the Dark Pit you were testing whether the Final Smash had a hitbox on did move after the end of the cinematic. I don't know what happened, but something DID happen.
Here is a random fact I found: If you do small on Custom Smash with Poison Mushrooms, choose Ness time a Pk Thunder to hit you while you are re growing your size after getting hit by the mushroom and it will pass right through you. I don’t know why but it happened to me while messing around.
You are on a súper serius fight , the most important of your life , you're on your last smash life point and You respawn on your last plataform and You jump out of it and as soon as You land and the first thing You see as You land is *_a fucking T posing Min Min_*
When you use your final smash your size will be back to default: if you got a super mushroom and became bigger, using your final smash will shrink you back to narmal size, but it doesn't work with other items like the bunny ears or the metal box
The t pose one is like a genuine nerf and buff at the same time. You land the combo perfectly and she t poses instead of taunting, however you can't hit out of it.
Yeah, the thing about min min's up smash is that in game when you dash in mid air she would kick, so it would stop any incoming weak arms from hitting her.
I play arms. In the game, min min's kick doesn't reflect arms, it stops them from hitting you. There is an arm that was added when Lola pop joined that acts like a shield that does reflect arms.
Something to note about the t-pose is that the nair and the laser are unnecessary. You can just do side-b, f-smash, and then any taunt and it will work
13:32 Yeah, it was a nerf to Skewer. The sweet spot was changed to be counted as a grab, so you can't grab someone right after using Skewer, as well as the other way around. Though they did make it do slightly more damage. As if it didn't do enough already.
From what can see, Skewer now uses the same "hit grab" properties that Terry's Buster Wolf has. Also, they changed Fountain of Dreams this patch, in that the stage with hazards on will no longer cause frame drops. It was tested with 4 ICs in the stage, and no frame rate drops occurred. There is still a few instances where it does occur, with Wario turning around riding in his bike being an example, but instances where it does happen will not really happen in a real match. No Wario player will ever turn around with the bike.
The minmin tpose was optimized You only have to use B ramram tilt and then A forward smash. Buffer taunt just after the "explosion" when dragon arm leaves you. You have to hit ramram but you dont need to hit dragon laser.
Apparently, in the presentation, Sakurai specifically mentioned with the grab boost that it makes the dragon arm stronger, AS WELL AS boosting its laser. So the fact about the up special makes sense, and the arm is always stronger no matter what. When you use your final smash your size will be back to default: if you got a super mushroom and became bigger, using your final smash will shrink you back to narmal size, but it doesn't work with other items like the bunny ears or the metal box
13:17 OOF right in the sensitive spot. 😬
Was wondering , does the bunny hood / speed spirits boost the speed of “movement specials?” (Ex: warios bike, Sonics spindash etc)
0:50 Lucas: I'm a joke to you?
The t pose one is like a genuine nerf and buff at the same time. You land the combo perfectly and she t poses instead of taunting, however you can't hit out of it.
I love how you connect facts...
Yeah, the thing about min min's up smash is that in game when you dash in mid air she would kick, so it would stop any incoming weak arms from hitting her.
74.2% not being subscribed? That's honestly really good.
I play arms. In the game, min min's kick doesn't reflect arms, it stops them from hitting you. There is an arm that was added when Lola pop joined that acts like a shield that does reflect arms.
If you wait long enough on title screen, random footage of battle has shown. Despite players are displayed as human players, they are actually CPUs.
Yoooooo those air shots and gardens at the end
Hey what’s up my guy, we played in a TF2 match the other day, I was the spy that couldn’t get you. You’ve earned my sub that’s for sure.
When you hit 3 fighters at the same time with Ike's fully charged eruption, all three fighters will not get hit at the same time
Something to note about the t-pose is that the nair and the laser are unnecessary.
Do you think maybe the stun was given the grab timer property
The grab boosts aren’t a new thing. It may have been either a grab or a block in arms to charge up your attack
Dash to the edge, and down throw Min Min as Banjo on the edge of the normal spring stadium
If alt 5 pit is spiked by kirby or chrom’s suicidal up b, no blast effect appears. It CANNOT be Ike.
10:50 that Pokémon Ranger: Shadows on Almia Music brings a tear to my eye
i thought it was dragon quest lol
When you said everyone's a casual "well actually im NOT a casual"
This mans market gardened an invisible spy, meanwhile I can barely garden in the first place
The minmin tpose was optimized
You only have to use B ramram tilt and then A forward smash. Buffer taunt just after the "explosion" when dragon arm leaves you. You have to hit ramram but you dont need to hit dragon laser.
Fist attack spirits actually increase Min Min’s arms as they are technically counted as punches
Every time I see your outro I wonder if you have a second channel where you play TF2. If you did have one, I would definitely watch it.
Minmin used "assert dominance"; opponent is forced to SD out of the sheer dominance asserted
Could you bounce back and fort on the arms stage if you put the star item on top of the bounce pad.
When a character hit an opponent with an aerial, the attacker can get a little vertical boost
