Thank you Myriam I very much enjoyed all 4 parts of this series. It is excellent, full of info, great instructions and filled with tips. I am delighted with the finished pieces (both) which were my first tries painting with gouache guided by your gifted talent and words.
I have such a hard time with lashes, either they are really really sparse or they look like mega false ones! I have enjoyed the series and am thankful you are finally able to share them!
This series has been an incredible resource of this medium. What an amazing amount of work and time for a free tutorial! I feel so lucky and grateful! Thank you!
That means a lot, thank you so much! I wouldn't have been able to make this tutorial if it hadn't been commissioned by Strathmore, and I am so glad they were open to it being released on my channel. :) So glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you again Myriam. You are such a talent and explain well what we have to do. Hope I can paint with gouache as well as you do - takes practice I guess.
it's interesting to see how different the painting process looks for different mediums: i work mostly with acrylics and i would approach this painting quite differently as acrylics is a lot easier to layer. great job with this course, it's definitely been making me want to work with gouache more
Very informative series of videos! Thank you so much for this incredibly useful collection of tips and tricks. I've been using watercolour for years and now I'm venturing into gouache. I feel this gives me a good basis to start off! Happy painting ^_^
thank you so much for this, its so well made and constructive, and its free! your helping so many artists out there (including me, im a chronic over-blender ) and it was so fun watching all of this. thank you again for doing what you do!
Thank so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I have learned so much about gouache. You are a great teacher. I have renewed desire to keep painting. 😊
I have been looking for good information about this medium for some time. Thanks so much for sharing this with us! I really enjoy your style of teaching and your calm manner. I will be revisiting this series and recommending it to friends. Wish you all the best Myriam!
Thank you so much for this tutorial series, very informative and helpful!! It being free is marvelous ,since there are people like me (idk forreal) who cant afford any camps and courses online and group workshops ... Of course, its better than these tips videos which sometimes they are messy ,random and don't contain helpful information about the subject... So thank you very much for this serious ♡
Thank you so much for this series! I will be re-watching some of it and try to do some playing with color mixing when I do. I'm still very new to gouache and because of that I find some things frustrating. I liked the tip you gave about mixing greens in the last video.
Hi! Your videos on gouache have been very helpful. I had some experience with watercolor and acrylics, but I was unsure on what to do with gouache. Question: how well do watercolor pencils work over gouache? For details, for example. Love from Spain, and thank you for your videos
I like that you go over the reference photo in the beginning. Brainstorming the different contrasting areas and different color groups is helpful. Lots of artists don't show that part in their tutorials but it's an important part of the process.
I’m a bit confused...The video mentions a free downloadable worksheet, but you have to become a patron on the website to open them. So..Are they not free? Or I might just be stupid and not see where the free ones are.
A patron? The worksheet isn’t listed on patreon, the link should open up the worksheet pdf directly, that is hosted on the Strathmore website. It’s possible you might need to register on the Strathmore website to be able to open the link, I don’t know, but signing up on the Strathmore website is completely free. :)
