" are you okay for a bit of one on one? But we.'re not as good as our feathered friends as we can't imitate sounds so well like they do. Just glorious. I'm staying tuned to see how this gesture of friendship develops.

The beak clacking is a sign of affection, excitement, and playfulness. If done in a hostile manner it is territorial display. The bird is trying to preen the dog's 'feathers'. So cute. Poor dog can't sleep but is endlessly entertained. Such clowns, these cockatoos!

See the bird like an inquisitive toddler. The dog is great, granted. The bird is trying to preen dog, wants to be nice and sociable and is being inquisitive. I used to have two quaker parrots. One of them loved messing with my hair like that and she was crazy about me. Both used to want to preen my face too. It is how they look after each other too. Sometimes, when I had both of them on my shoulder, one of them would get jealous of the other and then pinch me, lol. That one was a little rascal, lol. Very smart, very sweet and at times very mischievous.

You must be a really together coo person.! Always wanted a Bird like that seems a very intimidating animal to take care of. Although I do have many many pups. Love them all so much.
