    I have a hw100 bp in .177, one of the standard ones with a bigger cylinder. Best gun I have ever used, never puts a foot wrong. The ergonomics mean that the weight seems to vanish when you shoulder it and it is pellet on pellet with Bisley Magnums out to 40m in normal conditions but on a very still day you can get half-inch five groups at 65m. Superb gun out of the box, just immaculate. (And when it needed servicing a year ago I sent it to The RatWorks in the UK, they changed the reg and tuned it to perfection, I now get 180+ shots per fill and you can't get a better air rifle for twice the cost.)

    Own the carbine and it‘s a keeper in my collection. For fieldwork it would be easy to buy a cylinder to double the shotcount. They‘re still builted to fill them seperatet from the gun and easy to screw them on and off 😉

    I have the standard HW100BP and it is brilliant. I believe the one you are reviewing is the “K” version which is shorter than the standard.
    Great review.

    Great review mate! Always a good watch - honest and includes the cons as well as the pros! That gun is a laser!
    On an aside:
    Please have a word with the guys at crack shots - they sponsor a ‘larger’ YT air gun shooting channel which has been promoting shooting squirrels with air pistols that weren’t even zeroed properly. Something I would not want my business associated with, no matter the reputation of said channel. I’d suggest they cut ties - as being involved with this channel is not something that will be good for business (or our sport) in the long run.

    You need a more stable platform to shoot off when reviewing a gun, you tend to be all over the place when taking aim.
    Not all guns suit everyone be it how it feels to hold, the Hw100 K/ BP series purpose is for huntiing & not paper hole punching.
    This said hence the low shot count where you rarely need more than 50+ shots for a days hunting unless shooting rats, a pump is cost effective to fill up.
    The HW100 as you mentioned is reliable, easy to maintain, parts widely available & very accurate at a good price compared to other makers.
    Adding a lighter cylinder & a bit of fine tuning makes the HW100 perform on par with air rifles costing more than double in price.
    A free floating 177 barrel will always be more accurate over 22 but a lot depends on the person pulling the trigger.

    Nah you say well done Weihrauch but it's the man behind the gun who deserves the praise. A good tradesman never blames his tools and that, but very good grouping chris. I love weihrauchs as I've mentioned in the past.

      @southwestshooters thank you for your reply, i love watching your reviews and value your opinions, the reason I asked is I've been shooting for about 18 months now just target and plinking ( hunting is not for me ) and im going into HFT at my local range just for fun . I already have the Ghost in 177 , in your honest opinion would this be suitable, thank you again for your brilliant reviews 👍 keep them coming.

    Good review but hardly 5p group bud you have to include flyers bud 🙄 not just the shots you want to include Chris honesty is the best policy and you didn't mention the hammer spring issues this gun has had bud, keep it real please 👍

    • @greylag8630
      @greylag8630 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No hammer spring issues with the Hw100 bud. The 100 is know as the workhorse of the PCP world and I’m pretty sure the bullpup has the same action etc as the standard HW100 rifle. The hammer spring issue are with the HW110 - a lovely rifle, I had the K version for a few years (it needed it sorting by HW100tuning to sort power issue) and it was excellent.

      @@andyfry745 you ever tried 1? or shot 1? . Reckon the answer to both is no. I have flash pup and HW100 KT. Can get very similar groups from both. Ok the Hatsan's finish might not be that of a Weihrauch but its plenty good enough for £350. And I know which is the most fun to shoot!

    • @andyfry745
      @andyfry745 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fencer39 I have a range so have used/tried what most people never will..you usually get what you pay for.push both the mentioned rifles out to 60 meters then compare…although another one that possibly breaks the rules..Artemis p10 in 22…awful stock made badly but incredibly accurate once you’ve cleans the barrels for an hour…internally also the hatsan are of mediocre quality hence why most air smiths won’t work on them.we no them as a throw away,as when it does die throw it away!
