- It's about time that we did a quick video on my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Yes, almost four years on, I've still got it, and i've got some exciting modifications planned for this year on the Wildlife Moto Channel.

Great to see that you are now back to looking at further upgrades to your Interceptor. I have missed your interceptor content. Along with Uncle Stu, you were instrumental in my decision to purchase an Interceptor. I already had a shopping list made up and I had purchased some upgrades before I had even collected the bike. Most of the parts that I have purchased were as a result of your reviews, so thanks for that. I am looking forward to seeing the installation videos that you are going to produce as you fit your latest tranche of upgrades / enhancements.
Cheers Ian. Glad the videos have helped you along the way. Thank for watching 👍
Bridgestone is a big difference. I also white painted the lettering and looked awesome.
I fitted stainless bolts and they finish the engine off nicely, especially if you polish the cases. The mudguard can be tricky getting that furthest bolt undone and refastened, that will test your patience I guarantee!! (I recommend a tea break or two during fitting!) However, it does look the business.
PS; everyone knows the Orange is THE colour!) 😉
Sounds great ,cant wait to see the improvements!
What a fantastic list to look forward to watching
I’m looking forward to this next set of videos! 👏
Really looking forward to seeing all these mods. Missed seeing the interceptor on your channel. Great video!! Thanks, ride safe.
Excellent can't wait..
Very much looking forward to those upgrades particularly the paint job 😊👍🏻
Thanks chap :)
Woohoo! I've been waiting for this. Gosh, it's really been a few years since the first RE vids, huh? The days really do fly by.
Scary isn’t it!
Great to see you have not forgot about the interceptor some great upgrades and you will love the Bridgestone s 👍
Thanks Tony. I’ve always had great experiences with Bridgestone. Looking forward to trying the BT46.
Can't wait to see the paint job. Looking into getting my T120 painted. If I could make a decision!
Decisions Decisions! Good luck with your choice.
I recently followed your example and installed the Brembo 15RCS, holding off for a long time because the look of the stock master cylinder obviously matches the bike better. The difference is night and day. Next to the 865 kit it’s the single best performance upgrade I’ve done. I can actually trail brake now. Really looking forward to seeing the new paint job.
It’s great isn’t it. So much more feel and control.
Glad to see you are still covering upgrades for this bike. Most of my mods have been motivated by a desire for lower weight, I would not know what to do with more power so I'm happy to leave the engine as delivered. What I'd like now is an aluminium fuel tank but so far I have been unable to find anybody selling those for the GT version (or even the Interceptor). Perhaps one day you will do that mod on your Interceptor and give a lead on where I can get an Al tank. Best regards.
That would be cool. You’d probably need to find a good fabricator to make one for you, could get expensive, but would be very cool.
I'd love more information on all the sizes of the bolts you got. I've looked at ProBolt too but I just haven't had the time to go around trying to measure all the bolt sizes I'd need for the upgrades. Looking forward to more info in a future video perhaps.
Yes I’ll get some info together on the main sizes. Cheers.
In my humble opinion, WM, the shape of the tank is one of the most gorgeous things about the interceptor.
I agree. The shape will stay the same.
Brilliant to see you back with some new mods very much looking forward to watching the videos especially the one painting your tank(I also agree that ravishing red is the best one such a shame RE don’t do it any more?)I also can’t believe it’s been 4yrs since you got the bike! I do recall the sad video you put out about the stolen bike, out of curiosity did anything come of it?
Thanks John. Sadly it was never recovered. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise, that bike was savage.
Some good upgrades for the Interceptor 👍
Thanks John. Looking forward to fitting them 👍
One question since we both have the same master cyclinder set up, how long is the new brake line from the ABS unit to the Master cylinder ? Right now has to go undergas tank to attach to Master I figure it's about 3 inchs longer and I think the connector to the master has to be different than the stock (not pointing down)@@WildlifeMoto
@@johnk7814I’ll measure it and let you know.
look for: Brad Pitt's Custom BMW Bobber
Awesome R100 with upside down fork and these new style brake calipers using the old original rims, the master front brake pump is hidden somewhere under the gas tank and operated via cable, the handle bars are totally slick and clean. a almost hidden digital dash.
Hey looking forward to what's coming down the pipe
Thanks 🙏
Thanks for the update! Having changed the tyres and lightened the exhaust system, the breaking is the most obvious, weak point I’ve noticed when riding flat out on curvy roads.
That will be braking hopefully!
That all sounds great WM and will look forward to seeing the up grades come through. I did message you about the YSS Fork upgrade - is there a video for that out or is this one to come?👍
Hi Richard. I didn’t do a specific video on the front forks. I’ll make something when I do the oil change. It’s a fairly easy upgrade as long as you have a way of securing the bike while you take the legs off.
@@WildlifeMoto Thanks for the reply and note what you say, will keep my eye out for the oil change video 👍
Great vid! Question: what bracket do you use for your phone on the 650? Looks like what I need! Keep up the good work
Thanks. It’s a Quadloc.
Wow WM, winter in the UK gets you surfing & shopping a lot more than in summer when you’re out there riding!
You’re a busy man! Would it be cheaper & easier to just buy a new tank with another colour scheme & keep the original as a spare? Or, get a tank in white & paint/wrap your own design? Every other panel is a complete departure from the original anyways? Your RE Interceptor looks fantastic as is & will look more so unique!
Cheers Steve. Yes I didn’t think about a second tank. They are pretty cheap.
Your Interceptor must be incredible. Good luck men and take care with you and her. From Brazil...i have a Sunset Strip.
Love the Sunset Strip (second best lol).
Love to see the Interceptor again! Quick question for you - I remember a video of yours about the switch gear and domino throttle install, did that video get taken down? Any chance you can re-upload it? Bike looks fantastic 👌🏾
Thanks mate. Are you talking about the custom throttle cables video? It's still live. There is also this video th-cam.com/video/abuT6TM3OBw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=WildlifeMoto
@WildlifeMoto that's exactly the one I was looking for, thanks man!
Aluminum chain sprocket?
I wanna use stainless bolts on the cover of the Hallsensor / alternator belt on the R1100.
is that a problem?
Hi, I have an Interceptor also, that I have heavily modified. It is very similar to yours and I will watch with interest in how these mods go as I was thinking of doing something similar. One other thing I was thinking of doing was replacing the spark plugs, spark plug caps and HT leads with NGK caps, Iridium plugs and braided HT leads. What do you think? Also any chance you can make a shopping list of the bolts you replace and post them so I can copy. Thanks. (PS: happy to share photos of my bike with you)
Thank you. I’ll certainly take a look at the plugs when I get to it. Not sure if it’s worth changing the leads at this point.
Great to see you back on the Interceptor, man! We have a small group of SW London/Surrey riders who are also passionate about Royal Enfield Interceptor customization. Would you like to join?
I'd like so much but i live in Brazil. I have a Sunset Strip so beutiful and i love my motorcycle. My first my father gave me in 72,an Yamaha 50 cc , i was 15 now 67 and still riding...
I’d be up for that. My email is in the info section. Cheers
@@WildlifeMoto That's awesome, mate! I sent you an email, did it get through?
missed you buddy, interested in the alloy sprocket, whats the weight saving please over original? ive fitted a lithium ion battery on my gt, saved 4.3kg on weight
Not sure off the top of my head. I’ll weight the old one when I take it off.
Whats the size of the new BT46? 150 on the rear?
Personally I’ll go as close to stock as possible. I know some people put fatter tyres on the rear for looks, but I like skinny tyres on slower bikes. More fun.
I just looked and found the original sprocket has 38 teeth, to the 36 version would give more Endspeed an slower accelleration? Exactly not what I want ;)
I’m not expecting a big difference, but we should drop a few RPM at cruising speed. I’ll do a video once it’s fitted.
You said your tyres are four years old but being nosey what mileage have they done ? - not that mileage is everything since everybody rides differently and in different conditions. Still it’s interesting to know what mileage people are getting out of their tyres 🇬🇧
Hi. Around 4k miles on these. They are still in ok condition but I tend to change them after 4/5 years regardless of mileage.
