Oh wow I love the fagus, maybe I will get a piece for my sons first birthday. I had seen them before but didn't realise how much detail and thought had gone in to them. I have bought him the Camphill dumper truck for Christmas which is beautiful, very simple and also made by disabled adults.
They are so beautiful and importantly really robust!

Last year I actually bought the Lanke Kade Christmas figures and my children loved them (nice for them to be able to play with some Christmas decorations without me worrying they will break something!) so this year I have bought some for their daycare educator for her end of year present.

Hello Gemma, welcome back! I was waiting for this! I've been following you for some years now and I wanted to congratulate you on your new activity! Each time you post something about it I think about how lucky your kids are and I'm happy for you and your family! Oh how I wish we had anything like that here in Italy too! Loved it! Smart max is also a hit here! I agree with buying more mindful. For us play dough is also super loved, so I'm still working on the list (3 and 4 year old). Really like the smartmax and its from age 1 so that will be a great gift for my nephew for his first birthday.
My son had brio and loved it for years. He is 10 now so outgrown it but I still have it as couldn't part with it.

Just noticed you have "The Jolly Christmas Postman" on the bookshelf behind you... My absolute favourite book as a kid! Unfortunately, my younger siblings were never as careful with our shared toys and books as I was, and our original copy ended up battered and ripped with a lot of the bits and pieces lost or damaged. Several years ago however, my wonderful Mum, gifted me a new copy... One of the most meaningful presents I've ever received as an adult, it made an appearance last year at Christmas time, so I could read it with my Son, and will definitely be doing the same again this year! 🥰

Yes, I agree. He also found my childhood polly pocket and likes those too. I think its because they mirror things he's familiar with too.

OMG.. famous five! Takes me back to my childhood. I LOVED them! They also made a tele series - which also I adored, as a child. But they change somethings in the series which I used to get very cross about! ha!!

I really miss your videos and vlogs!! I would love to see an updated playroom video, or a daily routine video. How do you get the boys playing together nicely? My boys seem to be going through a phase where the fight so much that I end up taking them outside all day instead. I really miss the independent play times though and feel sad for them missing out on it, but the only way we manage inside is by splitting them up, and thats not much fun either. I would love some tips!

I always aim to do the same when choosing gifts for my son. I think I'm in love with the Fagus toys! Can I ask what age did your sons show interests in particular themes (e.g trains, vehicles etc)?

I have a little girl and have bought almost all the things that Gemma has bought for boys and she loves them! Gets soo much play out of her vehicles/ train set/ magnetic tiles etc
I buy them what my boys like/liked at the same age. I don't believe in girls/boys toys to be honest. I go on purely on interests. Open-ended toys particularly have a great appeal.

The boys attend the sessions but they don't have access to the business resources at home. they do love all our tractors and farm from our small world play in farm week
