It is a beautiful stretch of track, that I have had the pleasure of viewing this beautiful stretch of track from inside a UP SD70MAC in 2002. It just sucks that the Desert Wind doesn't run anymore, the Cima Sub is a very scenic spot and should see regular passenger service again by Amtrak.
I thoroughly enjoyed being on location during this production. There is nothing like viewing trains in the desert, especially "The Sink" where the Mojave River comes to die.
7ideaproductions Oh, yes. It is so beautiful. Charming and tranquil. That's the beauty of viewing trains outside of major cities. See some of the most beautiful parts of the country hardly touched by man. Just the lone railroad track(s) making its way through a scenic wonderland.
This is the San Pedro and Salt Lake at it's best From Barstow to Vegas this line goes through the most hostel environment known to man. the only oasis on the line is Kelso then from there is is 150 miles over Cima Hill to the bright lights of Vegas itself where the line continues as the Caliente Sub towards Milford and Salt Lake beyond that.
It will be available on Both DVD and Blu-ray on September 10th and available NOW on Vimeo in full length 1080P. Visit 7ideaproductions.com for details!
Aaron, I was just thinking about your videos and Vimeo streaming literally yesterday when I was doing research on online streaming options. Do you mind if I PM you some questions? Thanks.
First of all, our DVDs and Blu-rays are not region specific so you can play them on any machine that can play an NTSC video signal. Also you can stream or download the video through Vimeo On Demand. Simply go to the video page and scroll down to the preview screen. Upper right hand corner is the link to Vimeo On Demand. You can watch it there today!
You certainly explore some interesting places, this looks like another home run. Thanks for the preview.

7IDEA how about doing this. Across the heartland BNSF's chilocthe and marciline sub
That's very nicely done. Is this a preview to a DVD or a preview to a youtube video you're going to post?
