    well, he just said it...plant-strong diets or lifestyles will DEFINITELY save us from heart disease...thank you DOC!

    Short answer is that plaque formation is CAUSED by LDL cholesterol. The fiber in the plaques Dr Roberts speaks about is a part of the healing process. Secondly the LDL that causes the plaque formation it the first place accumulates in the plaque and cause it to rupture which causes a heart attack. The whole process is much more complicated and involves other factors such as inflammation.The bottom line is:if your LDL is below 60 you will be heart disease proof. Nearer to 50 if you have disease

      Below 80 might be enough if started young. Below 60 is a bit hardcore. :)

    is it possible for this diet to solve arhythmia?

    Either people would rather be fat and sick than give up eating meat, or the unawareness of a plant based diet for reversing the top killers could be seen purely as a conspiracy of industrial interests influencing the medical industry to actively ignore this proven safe and effective dietary based approach.

    If atherosclerosis plaque is mostly fibrous tissue and to an much lesser extent fat and cholesterol, why is dietary cholesterol or fats being blamed for atherosclerosis? Can someone explain?

    • @MattReily
      @MattReily 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As my post on your above comment, because it is the only unnatural element involved in the diagnosis. you naturally obtain blockage to degrees, but the fat & cholesterol is introduced, VOLUNTARILY!!! If you can buck up the self control to not put it in your body, it is no longer even a part of the equation...... So, would risk exist w/o fat or cholesterol, it seems its possible. But, it appears SIGNIFICANTLY less possible.

      again, fibrous tissue is NOT fiber from plants

      @@MattReily are aware that when you eat foods with cholesterol your liver starts producing less to keep cholesterol levels from becoming high?

      There are many studies and one recently I can't remember which i will get back to you on that but basically was done in african native tribes that eat a high saturated fat and their cholesterol levels was very low actually.
      I truly believe that cholesterol high foods only increased cholesterol in the blood when people is not healthy and eating a very unhealthy diet that cause inflammation (high sugar)

      @@miguelespejel2462 well, it was a comment from 3 years ago, so i read your links & re watched the video.
      You seem to want to validate eating of high cholesterol as being not just safe, but good. If you are healthy or whatever. I come from a direction of just removing the variable all together. You can investigate the car crash, the weather, the wet road, the tire quality, the tree it hit, the other cars on the road, how tired was the driver, etc etc etc. You can make a ton of very compelling arguments & studies & statistics & facts & research, an overwhelming amount of evidence for your theory. But if you just remove the vehicle & don’t get in it, you remove the possibility of a car crash, 100%.
      I love the African tribe reference. African tribes celebrate & feature incredibly skilled hunters, in almost every tribe. It would seem their survival is linked so strongly to this hunting element of their lifestyle. Because it is. They are in a SURVIVAL game, they have to survive on all elements available to them. But because hunting of these cholesterol beast is significant element of their culture, it actually doesn’t mean it is the dominant source of food. I’m sure every study you did on a African tribal hunters body is shockingly lower than a westerner. Their body weight is probably shockingly low, everything about their existence is bare minimum. So, it is low compared to what? Its low compared to Americans on traditional diet? It’s low compared to a plant based diet? It’s low compared to the amount of carcass they have consumed? Does the health of the wild animal they tracked, trapped, chased for 25 miles on foot have anything to do with it? Does it have to do with plants, roots, seeds, that are also a significant source of nutrition in their diet? You may be 100% correct, I’m sure everything in your study of them is low, except for daily activity.
      The final comment on “high sugar.” What do you mean “high sugar?” Do you mean raw sugar? Because I doubt raw sugar is very high in most Americans diets. Do you mean sweet & ripe fruits? Do you mean sweeteners? Do you mean desserts? Do you mean, things that are sweet to taste? Lol. Sugar is the biggest BS scapegoat in America & western culture at the moment. Because it is easy & distracting perfectly. Because i think you are referring to desserts made with eggs, cow milk (95% of the time the absolute LOWEST quality on the market, the CHEAPEST), i think you are referring to sugary drinks that have chemicals & more often than not, artificial sweeteners, not even sugar are you even sure of the water quality in these drinks?? I think you are referring to people in America that have one of these so called “sugary foods” & they are consuming it with horrifically FAT, high cholesterol, artificial, high sodium foods & then after all the horrifically bad decisions & sedentary lifestyle, it is blamed on “sugar.” It is ridiculous. It’s marketing. It’s purposely distracting. And it’s working perfectly.

    Regrettably, meat can be delicious. An evolutionary left over from when 28 was old age and food was scarce. However, in my own attempt to eat plant based foods I can tell you that I feel better afterwards.

    He is correct in his comments about the difference between "blockage" vs "significant blockage". But, and all should be aware of this, he wrote a piece called "It's the cholesterol, stupid" and I hope all would do some reading and investigation of science. In which case, they will find "It's not the cholesterol, it's the STATIN, stupid". And, become a vegetarian.
