Lake Clementine Falls Trail

- Come join me as I show you the Lake Clementine Falls hike. First off im well aware I spelt Shamless wrong 😔 I had no time to fix the mispelling. This is an easy to moderate out and back 4.5 mile hike. This hike takes you to a breathtaking 155 foot man made Dam. This dam was built in 1939 to keep mining debris from washing down stream. This was a lot of fun as I hadn't hiked this trail in a while. As most videos I misspoke about the lower Lake parking and car access; it is down the road I thought was closed. parking is $10 or a state parks pass works too. Bathrooms are at the trailhead and clean. The Auburn State Recreation Area gets busy fast! so try to head out early. Hey! Another fantastic video. The drone footage is incredible! Yeah, as far as the Poppy Pass, I will never display it in my car. They can and will be stolen. I have heard of many stories of cars getting broken into. Usually, there are envelopes at these pay stations where you can write down your Poppy Pass number, and display that on your dash. Those "buoy" things, and I too, do not know what they are called, but they are simply there to weigh down the wires/lines, so when it gets windy, the lines don't sway back and forth as much. Thanks! I didn't know this Poppy pass tip, great advice! My sister didn't have a poppy pass but did have her car broken into amd lots stolen at the Robbie Point trailhead gate. That makes sense about the buoys. Ya I was like "why would planes fly this low?" 🤣. Thanks and awesome pro tip about the pass!
@@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle glad I could be of help! Just note, that only at State Park pay stations do you need to do this (Unmanned). If you enter anywhere inside a park, like Folsom Lake, you don't need to display it once you're in or fill out an envelope.

Howdy! We are learning Ranger is not big into the outdoors 🤣. He's more into home depot, pet stores, barns... we've taken him hiking, snow, camping, he gets very worried and anxious 🤔🤷♂️. Thanks about the drone footage. Funny thing is, those were my test flights. My "cool" footage somehow became corrupt. I have no clue why. Maybe I need a new SD card? Firmware update? I love this hike and waterfall! I really wanna go and film it when it's ragging waters, I've seen pictures and it looks unreal. Thanks! Paul, Britt, and Ranger

Poppy pass is the way to go here. I think crossing 49 over by the restrooms is a good idea because traffic seems to always slow there. Thanks for the terrific video and keep em coming !!!!!!!

Another one to add to my list. Thank you for sharing. We did the quarry trail two weeks ago, my cell service with Verizon was mostly none existent.
Nice! Ya, cell service in this area is not great. I wanna do the Quarry Trail again. Last time I had some odd stuff happen. I thought I was being tracked the whole time... then at the end there was a sign warning of an aggressive animal in the area. Spoked me.
this place looks awesome, ill have to watch it again and again to absorb all the info. But now I want to go... specially the drone perspectives.
By the way the footage looks different, are you color grading? it looks great! nice touch.
Thanks! Ya I'm "color grading". Most of my "cool" drone footage was corrupt and unusable. The challenges of us youtubers 🤣

Is the consensus still that cars can drive around there? I have a feeling those people didn't know what they were doing or they work there.
Turns out you can drive down there. I thought it was closed to cars still but it is accessible now.
