I am from the US and I’m so glad you don’t showcase large commercial properties, hotels etc… The are boring and lack character. Ghana greatest resource is the people and culture. I love the rapport you have with the people you interview it comes easily. The people and places you showcase are treasures. Keep up the incredible work. 🥰
A wonderful vid and interview. Ghana should promote more eco-tourism. I love the twins' natural hair and pretty smiles. Is it just me, or do Ghanaian women just have naturally beautiful smiles!? 🥰😍
Atakpame were buildings that were built by artisans from Atakpame in then Dahomey, now Republic of Benin. They traveled to Ghana, then Gold Coast to ply their trade (building houses with earthen mud) Because it was their specialty. they were invited seasonally to build houses sometimes for food and cash by mostly cocoa farmers during the cocoa season and after their harvest.
Hi Jasmine, this video is absolutely awesome! I watched it over breakfast. I do enjoy videos of hotels etc because in the western world the main media do not advertise a lifestyle to suggest black people can rest, relax and shop. This is where your educational vlogs is essential. We would never know about the islands if people like you never bothered to showcase the other facets of Ghana. Thank you for interviewing this family. I certainly appreciate it and I will visit them when I visit Ghana. Keep up the good work. Greetings from 🇬🇧.
Jasmine, keep doing what you are doing. Seeing Ghana through your lens is very satisfying and rewarding to me. You're showing Ghana at its core and its beautiful, keep up the great work !
Great interview Ama and thanks for show casing this side of Ghana. Thank you to people like Alberta, Rita and Kwame for assisting in the preservation of Ghana's natural environment. Did I hear Kwame say the pythons on the other island are friendly🤣🤣🤣🤣 Kwame is right modern life is killing people before their time and not living as well as they can. Somehow we forget our interconnectiveness to everything on earth and how acknowledging that fact has a positive effect on ourselves and our wellbeing. I think I have foubnd my tribe in Kwame, Alberta and Rita❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for this video @Jasmine I sent it to my business partner and it turns out this is his friend he was looking for they have reconnected and we will support their business. I look forward to meeting them all😊
From the start of the video. I already knew I will love it because of the collapsible picnic table 😂 because I live for furniture that does not take up all the space. please Jasmine. Ask them for the link 🤣. As the interview continues on, I love them more. Kudos to them and I will definitely check them out next time I am home . Beautiful place 🥰🥰🥰🥰
absolutely my speed and my likes, I once told my dad after he retired 57 years from a job where he was so happy and looked forward to going to every day and unwillingly became a stepsister's babysitter in retirement days, that he was now "living to die." He stops having life shine through his eyes.... it was and still is sad. People keep having an opinion about me buying a home instead of building and I refuse to agree. Everywhere is bland, with no space and no trees. I need to have nature around me. Thank you I will now look for the intro to this video.
Oh Yes, When I visit Ghana I will definely be checking them out. This was so great Jasmine and you do look and sound very relaxed. Love thrie whole Island, What a blessing,,,,
Hi Jasmine. Keep up showcasing Ghana. Many are interesting in traveling and investing in Ghana and some want to relocate. I myself is planning to make a trip there soon.
Thank you for showing the other side of tourism where the locals own. The nature is a once in a lifetime experience and to experience it in a African country is sometime magical. I would like to know if the other twin married. 😍🤩🤪😜
That’s so impressive. Love nature, love water but the tent sleeping would be a problem for some of us. They should improve sleeping accommodations with natural resources with comfort of their visitors in mind.
Thank you so much for this Video !! I am a Nature Person also !!! Currently My Fiance lives in Accra with her Mum and I live in the USA !!! 🇺🇸 .. . 6,000 miles away from her !! She said both of them would come to the USA but I told her that her Mother must live the Rest of her life where She wants to live and they must be together and not Separated!! So if my New Mother- in-law changes her mind and desires to and prefers to live in Ghana?? I told my Fiance we have to live there!! Before all this happened I was hoping to leave the USA for good but had no idea about Ghana but I have been doing Research !! So the Decision is not mine !! But truly up to them and the Lord who We Both know brought Us Together!!! So, Please if you're a praying person ?? Will you Pray For Us !!!🙏 🙏 🤲 🙏
I so wish to visit. Hope soon. Jasmine I really want to connect with you before I cam there. I found you when brother go Africa was interviewing you. Can’t wait to come.
Very good services but I think the patrol should be included . Someone from the western world will find buying petroleum outrageous so like everything else they should add the petroleum price to the charges . But overall it’s a good one
And that's what outsiders want to see the real Africa when people travel to Africa who isn't African this is why they travel to see places like this they don't care about the fancy homes don't care about that because they see that all the time back where their from, but this is what they don't see back home so this is why they visit Africa.

Thank you. i do showcase commercial properties but I try to keep it to a minimum just so we have a balanced perspective of what Ghana is. xx
Agree
Ghana has a huge landmass that hasn’t been exploited tho
Great interview. Ghana truly is paradise. I hope it stays that way and that Ghanaians continue to protect their environment.
Hope so too x
A wonderful vid and interview. Ghana should promote more eco-tourism. I love the twins' natural hair and pretty smiles.

Yes, they do.
THE FEMALES ARE OUTSTANDING.😱💞🎉
Bokoboko

Thank you for showcasing the real, natural beauty of Ghana. This is what makes me want to come. NOT the westernisms.
You mean civilisation
@@scotishjohn I think she meant…western interpretation of civilisation
Beautiful family and tranquil environment. I can't wait to visit the place anytime I'm in Ghana 🇬🇭

Really admire this beautiful place, especially the beautiful twine sisters their smiling faces thanks dear Ama
I love the way you showcase Ghana.
This place will do so well with some Container houses… 8 or so won’t be bad for Tourists..
That will be massive
Rammed esrth or bricks is more eco friendly
Best place on the planet .. the host family will make your stay a memorable one❤️
very inspirational. and their islands are really nice! Thanks for sharing their story with us.
Very beautiful xx

Do you know that, ironically in Ghana, a small village building, probably built with mud, thatched roof, is referred to as: ' Atta Kwame '
