    Sweet. I’ve been thinking about upgrading the system. You have to jump over a few significant limitations if you want to run the stock deck. Cheers man. Thanks for the run through.

    Hello, watching the minute: 8:22 I'm with project Fit radio US version (same as yours) in my Fit EX- Costa Rica (5 Inches no touch), I already have it. How can I get the diagram of all the cables for reasons: 1. My original reverse camera is not activated when I put "R". but in the internal options If activated. and I see it (I think the function is in the 2nd connector from left to right. (Some cable that detects the reverse signal) that is different from the Latin version.
    2. I need to know which cables the baypass handbrake is made, I know it's in the connector under the HDMI cable, but I need a diagram, my car does not have that factory connector. so I have to build it myself.
    I appreciate the help you can give me, to conclude with a good installation and not be incomplete functions in this radio. Thank you.

      If you check out fitfreak. Net you should be able to find the wiring diagram for the audio pin. The reverse signal is on a different connector and I do not know what it is off the top my head

    I'm trying to do something similar but not AS crazy, just installing the subwoofer and hooking it into the rear speakers. I know that you have the cable colors listed here from the harness, but when I'm looking at the cables running out to the door there's multiple pinks and blues on the right side how do I know which one is the right one to positap into?

      Hey it's been many years but you might have more luck on the fitfreak.net forums. I remember seeing threads of others doing what you say with success. Just not sure what color the wires are.

      @@Bassguitarist1985 I've been reading over your thread multiple times and I realized that my best move would probably to build a male(female) adapter between the stock head unit and just tap the wires there.
      Now to figure out how to push those molex pins... sucks that the adapter doesn't come with the wires in the right spot for the HU

    I'm hoping to get my stereo upgrade done in steps. If my very first step is new speakers and an Alpine Power Pack amplifier do I need to go ahead and get an LOC installed as well? Or should I wait until I get the self contained sub that's going under the seat and have it installed with that? Sorry for the dumb questions. I'm just on a very strict budget.

    Wondering if you‘re getting alternator whine coming through the speakers with all the wiring you did?

    Very awesome video, I am still just a little confused about a few things. What was the total cost for this project? What did you mean when you said that you changed the internal jumpers on the LCQ1? Overall, by far the most detailed process I could find and you gained a sub from me :)

    • @chiefcactus4091
      @chiefcactus4091 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, the LCQ1, kenwood amp, and basically everything is quite pricey, are there any alternatives at a cheaper price point that perform decently?

    • @chiefcactus4091
      @chiefcactus4091 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      One last thing, are there any head unit replacements that preserve the lane camera and back up camera?

    • @Bassguitarist1985
      @Bassguitarist1985  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chiefcactus4091 the LCQ1 i changed the grounding jumper to 200 ohms. Meaning the audio ground has a 200ohm resistance connection to the chassis ground (different than audio ground) the other choices for the jumper pins are floating, or bonded for those two points. Prevents hum and noise.
      You can get a basic LOC to feed your 4 channel amp and rely on your oem HU's built in eq. That would save some cost. Far as I know I think there are some pioneer HUs that perserve the lanewatch camera, but you need an external module like the Axxes device and that must be programmed to keep the lanewatch, backup, Bluetooth, and steering wheel controls. There are a few people on fitfreak. Net that were able to get an aftermarket head unit to work with most of the buttons but I think the Bluetooth buttons for the phone where the biggest challenge since the firmware for many aftermarket devices still does not support this generation of head unit from Honda. It was only used for the first half of the third generation. now if you buy a 2018 or newer, the lane watch feature is completely removed but it also gets rid of certain compatibility barriers for aftermarket integration. That's about all I know definitely check out fitfreak. Net for more information.

    Awesome video! Only question, for the power, did you run that from the batter, or did you tap an unused fuse slot in the fuse box? I'm considering the same amp OR the clarion that's very similar, and either would be without the LCQ1 and subwoofer setup.

    • @Bassguitarist1985
      @Bassguitarist1985  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I ran two 10 awg wires to the battery, each fused at 20 amps. Sorry I didnt say where I connected it to in my video!

    • @geoff650r
      @geoff650r 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's all good! I saw someone mount the Clarion amp in basically the exact same spot on fit freak, but they grabbed an empty fuse spot in the fuse panel and threw in a 25 amp fuse and a tap into it. It struck me as... risky.

    • @Bassguitarist1985
      @Bassguitarist1985  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I've gleaned from the fuse panel, its max fused at 40 amps. While a class d amp is not a constant 20 AMP draw with other accessories on that panel will be maxed out. The size system I have isn't going to do whoompa thumpa bass or anything super high current demanding, just a nice rounded out system I can be happy with.

    I’m having the Alpine Power Pack Amp 45x4 and Kenwood Sub mentioned in your video installed in my 2015 Fit EXL today. I’m wondering how well the sub fits under the front seat. I saw you comment on FitFreak where you had to relocate your subs, in favor of backseat passengers. I don’t have the confidence to create a wiring harness, so I’ll let my wires get cut for the amp install. Great job man
    P.S. The shop has determined that it will fit under the driver’s seat.

    It looks great man! Seems like you really know what you’re doing. I don’t have the skills to upgrade mine like that, so watching you doing that makes me want to hire you to do the upgrade on mine 2016.. lol.. would you be interested?

      Ivan Kut thanka dude! Actually going to reinstall this system in my 2017 fit soon. Ive been slow to do so, life stuff (good stuff) happened and havnt had the time for it. I live in the northeast united states.

      Oh shoot, I am on the west coast... so I am out of luck I guess to have it done by you man. Unless you’ll be doing some traveling and can stop by.. Lol.. you must have been likened your 2015 since now you upgraded to 2017? I truly enjoy my Fit, just the tank is a little small.. other than that, it’s great. Have a fantastic day Sir!

      Ivan Kut loved the 2015, but it had some quality control ossues with the body and paint. Drivetrain was perfectly fine. The 2017 is much better in quality, plus it is garaged all the time now.

      Got it. Positive changes are always good. I would like to keep my original head unit and when upgrading my system, just don’t know if it has the right slots to connect stuff. Would it be possible to send me the instructions on how you hooked it up or maybe you have a link that includes the steps/diagrams? I would really appreciate it man.

    I'm here cus I want to know how to get through the firewall into the cabin

    • @Bassguitarist1985
      @Bassguitarist1985  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are various rubber grommets that you can use to get wires through the firewall. Just be careful when snaking them through so you do not damage the other wires going through it.

    • @yezkaholic
      @yezkaholic ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Bassguitarist1985 I was thinking of using the main engine harness and just making a hole thru the rubber gourmet to avoid damaging the wires running thru it. I want to run a small wire for undercarriage lights

      I used a coat hanger and a ton of electrical tape - made it through the grommet on the glovebox side.
