H2O - Just add water is about three teenage girls who can transform into mermaids.😮
After a night bath in a lake, everything is different and as soon as Cleo, Emma and Rikki come in contact with water, they transform and get a mermaid tail. After further experimentation, the girls also discover they have supernatural powers over water like boiling or freezing water. They try to keep their secret from everyone else which makes their everyday life anything but simple. 🧜♀️🌊

yup I watched this show when I was 11 and now I am 17 almost 18 and i still love this show.
I watched it when I was 9-10 roughly, I’m 18 now and looking into buying a more advanced mermaid tail than the one I had when I was younger. No matter how old I get, I’m still obsessed with mermaids and I’m legitimately considering watching an episode tonight for old time’s sake LOL

It blew my mind that the cafe, Cleo's house, and Will's boathouse is just a set in the warehouse! 😲 I legitimately thought they were real buildings around Australia that they used for the show.
Most set on any show/movie are made and filmed in a big studio. It’s far easier, cheaper and safer that way. If they filmed outside, they’d have to pay to have that area blocked off for hours on end and people will always try to get onset to be nosy. Also the outside is noisy constantly so I imagine it wouldn’t be the best for filming.
It's more of an controlled environment, when it's a set indoors, as it keeps people coming onto set, if its raining outside they can still flim, and its cheaper then renting out fliming locations

@@danielaaszi All the sets are in a studio. I’m sure some bits were filmed outside just for a bit more realism but 95% of most TV shows/movies are filmed in studios.
Or at least most American tv shows and movies. I can’t speak for other countries.
The cafe was a real place and still is actually it's just not the same as in the show.

The ending of this behind the scenes lowkey made me tear up realising how long ago this was, and how much things have changed since then. Watching this makes me nostalgic about my incredible, careless, and amazing childhood that won't ever comeback. That's just a quick reminder to enjoy your everyday, and appreciate every moment so when you look back you know you lived your life to the fullest. Have a good day everyone:)

This beautiful show made my childhood, it was magical and didnt have any huge love drama like now days shows do. With nonstop action going on when u have to take a break from the show so you can process what just happened on your screen. Really sad there's no season 4, but it will always hold special place in my heart.

i’m not crying, it’s just a mermaid tail entered in my eyes
25 yo and I still love this show...:) of course it was great when I was a teenager and first found it, but it aged well and I enjoy watching it even more now! most shows who get rid of a main character, or do re-ups of old shows don't hold the same level of nostalgia and it feels like something is missing, but I even liked mako mermaids and fell in love with new characters that get added pretty frequently
not me having dreams to actually visit the moon pool to see if it worked 😖

There are a lot of reasons why we love H2O, but these realistic tails are the main reason why that show was so successful. It was the most important decision not to use bright cartoonish "barbie" costumes. Almost 20 years ago, it's still a great example of great job. Perfect!
In Mexico in 2004 we had a children’s soap opera called Amy La Niña De La Mochila Azul ,they filmed in Quintana Roo parts of Cancun and Chetumal and we had a mermaid in it and her tale looked really nice and beautiful to ,her name was coral it was beautiful…
