Darth Vader was so misunderstood. All he wanted was to bring peace and order to the galaxy, and bond with his ingrate of a son. And he was so pious...so easily disturbed by anyone's lack of faith. HT Darth Vaders are not the same size as their other figures. Their Vader figures are 13.7 inches tall; the Mandalorian, by contrast, is 11.81 inches. This Sideshow DV is 13.75 inches. I've HT's ANH and ESB versions, and they do tower over the other figures. That being said, the Sideshow version looks like an excellent figure especially with those light up boxes. Hot Toys (old) light-up lightsabers are not worth the effort. Accessing the batteries and the on/off switch is difficult (especially on Darh Vader), and they don't stay lit very long - I don't know of anyone who uses them. I haven't had a chance to try out their new USB lightsabers, though. Great video.
Thanks Daniel! And thanks for the info on the HT Darth Vader figures. I had heard watching other reviewers that they were the same size as other HT Star Wars figures. Glad to hear they are indeed taller. It was tough choosing which Vader to buy, but overall I'm really satisfied with this version from Sideshow.
