The fact that he hesitated when thanking Entrapta for the power armor showed how far Entrapta had come in bringing down his barriers; He had never met anyone so honest and trustworthy before, so he wasn't sure how to respond. His world was one of treachery and Machiavellianism, so he was conditioned always to expect betrayal from everyone. (For clarification, I equated "edgy" with "trying to be scary")

He's a character who for his entire existence has had the idea that he is worthless, expendable, a failure, hammered into his head. And when he's finally free, what does he do? The very human reaction of trying to claim agency via directly spiting his abuser. If he becomes an emperor, he won't be worthless or expendable anymore, he will have accomplished something. I just think he's neat

Okay but Hordak ranting about being a failure before entrapta starts working on his armour is honestly kinda.. cool? I mean it’s kinda nice to see a character that keeps to himself so much be able to trust someone enough to be THAT vulnerable is so cool! And entrapta relating to him and shushing him the first time he tried to say that she wasn’t a failure was so adorable! Imagine if anyone else had shut him down like that! They would be dead, but he’s just totally fine with entrapta doing it and is more focused on how she could think she was a failure! God I love this show!
People forget Entrapta is the oldest princess, in her 30's, and that she's just short. Also a cute lil tidbit, if you watch the show in pretty much any other language other than english they refer to entrapta and hordak as a couple in the end. The only couple I really cared about tbh.

Hordak respects Entrapta so much more than the princesses ever did. The princesses saw Entrapta as an asset, as a tool. But Hordak saw her as a person, and a friend.

Yeah I guess that's true to some extent... but to be fair, Hordak _also_ saw Entrapta as an asset in the beginning, and only later began to care for her. Even if the main characters _weren't_ right in the middle of their dispute over what to do with The Heart of Etheria when Scorpia burst in and told them Entrapta was on Beast Island, I think they still would've gone to go save her, even if they didn't _need_ her for something. I think Bow and Adora were only arguing that they need her to shut down the Heart in order to convince Glimmer to help them rescue her. But even if they weren't using her, you have a point. She did get shunned among the princesses a lot as annoying and even a burden at times. To be fair to the princesses though, Entrapta's hyperfocus on science/studying/whatever task she was in the middle of meant she ignored her surroundings a lot and that _did_ almost got her killed a few times, so it's not all that shocking that they'd be wary of excursions with her. I think it just worked in her favor that when in Hordak's realm, she was no longer in any imminent danger, and so she could study and work without care. What I like about their relationship is that the aspects of Entrapta that the Princesses found annoying were endearing to Hordak. They were both very scientific and focused on nothing except their task. They both isolated themselves and didn't socialize or empathize very easily. Entrapta's tendency to ignore danger while in the middle of a task meant that Hordak's first attempt at intimidating her didn't work on Entrapta _at all._ She was completely unphased by his anger. Not only that, but he realized that she knew what she was doing. She was the first and only being besides Imp to see him being vulnerable, and not only did she not judge him, but she helped build him new armor. When he had a difficult time expressing his gratitude for her help, trying to monologue like a high-and-mighty leader "Any who discount you are utter fools!!" She just touched his shoulder and thanks him. They both had trouble expressing themselves, and so they both understood each other in a way nobody else did.
Honestly, this ship is what made me love this show. The absolute chemistry they have together, the vulnerabilities they share to each other, spoke to me in volumes I've never felt before. Thank you for posting some of their moments, because they truly bring me joy. Their reunion was the only reason I could breathe on May 15th 2020.

As someone who is close to the neurodivergent spectrum (not diagnosed, but I have a good chunk of symptoms, both confirmed by therapist and other neurodivergent people), I love how they didn't stereotype entrapta as someone completely disconnected from empathy and socialisation. She can miss things, but she is great at being supportive if you give her a chance. A good break from constantly hearing people say neurodivergent people are asocials with no empathy. She gives big adhd vibes too

It's funny how Hordak's evil smile implies that he was thinking something along the lines of "yes she'll be a great pawn" "ha, I'm using this fool and she doesn't even now it" but then he saved her and as time went on he started getting more awkward and then suddenly his expression was like "oh fuck, I do care for her".

A lot of people say that Hordak didn’t really get a redemption but honestly I disagree with that. Season 3 episode 4 “Moment of Truth” Hordak stated that he didn’t care to remember Adora. Later, in s5 episode 13 they show the scene of Hordak looking down at baby Adora, which means that he finally remembers her and cares about her. He now has a heart and cares about people (mainly because of Entrapta’s influence) And at that moment (the baby Adora moment) was his redemption. He said “I remember you” HE REMEMBERS HER BECAUSE HE CARES ABOUT HERRRR AAAAAA!! Ok bye
I mean, the reason he brought her back to the Fright Zone at all when she was a baby says something about him. He likely was at least on some level able to empathise with her situation, given that he had been discarded and felt alone on a strange planet that he was hoping to leave when the portal opened and so leaving the crying helpless baby probably felt too cruel to him so he decided to bring her back but had no idea what to do with Adora afterwards which is why he gave her to Shadow Weaver.

Deep down, he was always capable of redemption, he just needed the right person to draw out the good in him. Entrapta was the only person who could do it and I love that they used her autism as a strength instead of a weakness. Because she missed the social cues that a normal person would see when a tyrannical overlord is yelling at them to "get out", she was able to get through to Hordak and draw out his softer side. It's one of the reasons Entrapdak is easily my favourite ship in the series. It was never toxic, unlike Catradora, it was just two lonely people falling in love.

I never thought of Entrapta as a villain. Catra, yes. Hordak, yes. Shadow Weaver, yes. Double Trouble, yes. Horde Prime, fuck yes. Even Scorpia had a couple of moments where she reminds you that she can be dangerous and Glimmer was going down a dark path in Season 4, so I can sort of see her as a semi-villain. But Entrapta never seemed villainous. Even when she told Glimmer and Bow that she was with the Horde, she was a bit hesitant and specified "I'm on the side of science".
Hey. Maybe the rebellion didn't understand her very much, but they try. Especially Bow, he genuinely wanted her as a friend. So don't pretend Hordak was the "only one" who treated her kindly, cause it isn't true

Two biological children (twins), Emily for a nanny, imp as an older sibling to them, and one robot sibling from when they wanted a little brother/sister but entrapta and hordak didn't want to go through that hassle again so soon as the twins just turned 6 when they asked.
Don't forget that hordak was a clone to have specific thoughts by horde prime, like kill anyone who is deemed his enemy, conquer the universe, and obey. Once thrown away, hordak tries to impress his master and builds an empire. Over time, he slowly desires his own image and path and with entrapta, he sees more to his life. Yes, he still has to pay for his crimes, but he does have moments that set him on a path far from destruction. He threw horde prime off to his almost death and played a part to save entrapta and get her to override horde prime science mumbo jumbo. In short, hordak is evil through indoctrination and confused about having desires that are his own and not prime's
That's the feeling I got from it too, the only difference is that Entrapta stayed with him out of her own free will, even if she didn't fully understand the difference between good vs evil. Hordak never forced her to stay or took her prisoner in any way. The Entrapdak ship was important to show that even so called "good" or "evil" characters are not just one note. They are complicated and made up of shades of grey in between.
It's so cute that when it seems like Hordak is finally about to create a wormhole, he isn't even focussing on it. He's looking fondly at Entrapta instead and pulls her out of harms way when it explodes. Right there, you can clearly see that she means much more to him than getting back to Horde Prime.
I love that when Hordak shared his backstory to her, Entrapta really was listening but what she concluded from all that was just "You're struggling, how can I help you make it better? You think you're a failure but I think you're beautiful :3"

So, Noelle thinks of them as being together, but she's also said that anything she didn't specifically put in the show isn't official canon. So, technically they're not canon, but they kind of are since the creator wants them to be together.
these two are one of the key reasons why i absolutely love this show, there’s so much depth in their relationship and the fact that they’re a physically disabled and mentally disabled couple makes me so happy. this show is excellent.
Honestly- I waited for their reunion from the time they got separated, and then cried from happiness in the end. Never thought they're gonna be my absolute favorites, but here we are.
Watching all of these clips together brings tears to my eyes. She helped Hordak discover himself and realise that his flaws are still wonderful. She truly does sees the best in him. Romantic or not, they are definitely soulmates, no matter if it is platonic or not, they truly do love each other.
Pretty much my experience too, although I didn't come for Catra and Adora as a couple. I came for Catra as an individual and expected her to be my favourite character. She's in the top 5, along with Glimmer and Shadow Weaver, but Entrapta's my favourite character, both as an individual and in her relationship with Hordak. Catradora's overrated and for most of the show it was outright toxic. Entrapdak's not only more endearing but far more healthy.
@@theresnousername Over the last 8 months, I've grown to hate Catra. At first it was a kind of love to hate her thing because AJ Michalka's voice acting is amazing and the writing for Catra the first 4 seasons was great. Season 5 was where it fell apart because of how lazy and rushed Catra's redemption arc was. I hate how much it damaged the whole of Season 5, which had incredible potential but was single handedly dragged down by one character, who warped other characters like Adora (who literally went crawling back to Catra in Save the Cat after the badass "You made your choice. Now live with it" moment at the end of Season 3) and Glimmer (who never even mentioned the fact that her mothers death was Catra's fault) in order to be propped up. Even Entrapta and Scorpia didn't escape from Catra's influence unscathed because they had absolutely no trouble forgiving her, even though she treated them worse than anybody apart from Adora. To be fair, I wouldn't say it's out of character for Entrapta and Scorpia to be forgiving but the fact that it was so easy shows that the writers weren't willing to put any actual effort into developing Catra into a better person. If Catra had died in Save the Cat and they had rescued Hordak instead, the whole of the final season would be a hell of a lot better.

i just want to aknowledge the beautiful work in this show about getting everyone something. we got bi couple, lesbians, non-binary people and still get straight couple. And they all feel genuine (except for perfuma and scorpia which always felt forced for some reason) I really like the writing in this show, simple yet effective. And also the fact that they all have different layers to their characters, you can like every characters with all their qualities and flaws.

I'm gonna say it, I think this ship had WAAAAAY more chemistry than Catradora. I never felt a romantic element between the two main characters, and the flirting felt placed in to try and push an agenda more than a natural attraction. I saw them more as sisters than lovers, whereas these two had that spark to them.

Hordak is such a great character. Even with all of his imperfections he was a badass but still 'human' . Socially awkward when around someone he likes but still a badass most of the time. The scene of him going solo towards baby Adora in the field is one of my favorites.

People forget Entrapta is the oldest princess, in her 30's, and that she's just short. Also a cute lil tidbit, if you watch the show in pretty much any other language other than english they refer to entrapta and hordak as a couple in the end. The only couple I really cared about tbh.

Hordak respects Entrapta so much more than the princesses ever did. The princesses saw Entrapta as an asset, as a tool. But Hordak saw her as a person, and a friend.
IK RIGHT, I MEAN, THE ONLY REASON THEY TRIED TO RESCUE ENTRAPTA FROM BEAST ISLAND IS BECAUSE SHE COULD HELP THEM SHUT THE HEART DOWN! AND EVEN AFTER EVERYTHING, THEY ONLY WANTED TO USE HER. AND SHE BLAMES HERSELF FOR NOT BEING A GOOD FRIEND. Poor girl, I’m glad she found a person who loves and respects her as an equal, even if it was the last person I would have ever expected.
Yeah I guess that's true to some extent... but to be fair, Hordak _also_ saw Entrapta as an asset in the beginning, and only later began to care for her.
Even if the main characters _weren't_ right in the middle of their dispute over what to do with The Heart of Etheria when Scorpia burst in and told them Entrapta was on Beast Island, I think they still would've gone to go save her, even if they didn't _need_ her for something. I think Bow and Adora were only arguing that they need her to shut down the Heart in order to convince Glimmer to help them rescue her.
But even if they weren't using her, you have a point. She did get shunned among the princesses a lot as annoying and even a burden at times. To be fair to the princesses though, Entrapta's hyperfocus on science/studying/whatever task she was in the middle of meant she ignored her surroundings a lot and that _did_ almost got her killed a few times, so it's not all that shocking that they'd be wary of excursions with her.
I think it just worked in her favor that when in Hordak's realm, she was no longer in any imminent danger, and so she could study and work without care. What I like about their relationship is that the aspects of Entrapta that the Princesses found annoying were endearing to Hordak. They were both very scientific and focused on nothing except their task. They both isolated themselves and didn't socialize or empathize very easily. Entrapta's tendency to ignore danger while in the middle of a task meant that Hordak's first attempt at intimidating her didn't work on Entrapta _at all._ She was completely unphased by his anger. Not only that, but he realized that she knew what she was doing.
She was the first and only being besides Imp to see him being vulnerable, and not only did she not judge him, but she helped build him new armor. When he had a difficult time expressing his gratitude for her help, trying to monologue like a high-and-mighty leader "Any who discount you are utter fools!!" She just touched his shoulder and thanks him. They both had trouble expressing themselves, and so they both understood each other in a way nobody else did.

Honestly, this ship is what made me love this show. The absolute chemistry they have together, the vulnerabilities they share to each other, spoke to me in volumes I've never felt before. Thank you for posting some of their moments, because they truly bring me joy. Their reunion was the only reason I could breathe on May 15th 2020.

As someone who is close to the neurodivergent spectrum (not diagnosed, but I have a good chunk of symptoms, both confirmed by therapist and other neurodivergent people), I love how they didn't stereotype entrapta as someone completely disconnected from empathy and socialisation. She can miss things, but she is great at being supportive if you give her a chance. A good break from constantly hearing people say neurodivergent people are asocials with no empathy. She gives big adhd vibes too
I love this bit so much. You see her doing the same with Wrong Hordak. She's had to struggle to understand/communicate with others, and thus, is more than happy to teach someone going through the same. This scene specifically, but also when she's teaching Wrong Hordak what a wink means, lol.

Entrapdak is the reason why I watched She-Ra in the first place. For me Catradora feels toxic but when Hordak and Entrapta are together I go fluffy and can't help but coo at their relationship. They're so precious.😊
It's funny how Hordak's evil smile implies that he was thinking something along the lines of "yes she'll be a great pawn" "ha, I'm using this fool and she doesn't even now it" but then he saved her and as time went on he started getting more awkward and then suddenly his expression was like "oh fuck, I do care for her".

Besides I've always loved Etrapta and hurt me so much when she wanted to stay in the island because she had info, like she didn't need friends. The fact she's able to connect romantically with someone is truly amazing, I love this pairing so much, even more than Catradora
The line delivery of “What have you done to me?” is one of the best lines in the whole show. So many layers of emotion packaged in six little words.
A lot of people say that Hordak didn’t really get a redemption but honestly I disagree with that. Season 3 episode 4 “Moment of Truth” Hordak stated that he didn’t care to remember Adora. Later, in s5 episode 13 they show the scene of Hordak looking down at baby Adora, which means that he finally remembers her and cares about her. He now has a heart and cares about people (mainly because of Entrapta’s influence) And at that moment (the baby Adora moment) was his redemption. He said “I remember you” HE REMEMBERS HER BECAUSE HE CARES ABOUT HERRRR AAAAAA!! Ok bye

Hordak did get a redemption arc, it just wasn't focussed on as much as Catra's.
I mean, the reason he brought her back to the Fright Zone at all when she was a baby says something about him. He likely was at least on some level able to empathise with her situation, given that he had been discarded and felt alone on a strange planet that he was hoping to leave when the portal opened and so leaving the crying helpless baby probably felt too cruel to him so he decided to bring her back but had no idea what to do with Adora afterwards which is why he gave her to Shadow Weaver.
@@Regenmacher175 I like that little moment in the finale when Hordak remembers finding Adora. Deep down, he was always capable of redemption, he just needed the right person to draw out the good in him. Entrapta was the only person who could do it and I love that they used her autism as a strength instead of a weakness. Because she missed the social cues that a normal person would see when a tyrannical overlord is yelling at them to "get out", she was able to get through to Hordak and draw out his softer side. It's one of the reasons Entrapdak is easily my favourite ship in the series. It was never toxic, unlike Catradora, it was just two lonely people falling in love.

I never thought of Entrapta as a villain. Catra, yes. Hordak, yes. Shadow Weaver, yes. Double Trouble, yes. Horde Prime, fuck yes. Even Scorpia had a couple of moments where she reminds you that she can be dangerous and Glimmer was going down a dark path in Season 4, so I can sort of see her as a semi-villain. But Entrapta never seemed villainous. Even when she told Glimmer and Bow that she was with the Horde, she was a bit hesitant and specified "I'm on the side of science".
Hey. Maybe the rebellion didn't understand her very much, but they try. Especially Bow, he genuinely wanted her as a friend.

Two biological children (twins), Emily for a nanny, imp as an older sibling to them, and one robot sibling from when they wanted a little brother/sister but entrapta and hordak didn't want to go through that hassle again so soon as the twins just turned 6 when they asked.
Having her around definitely fleshed him out as character, which really helped for when he betrays prime
Don't forget that hordak was a clone to have specific thoughts by horde prime, like kill anyone who is deemed his enemy, conquer the universe, and obey. Once thrown away, hordak tries to impress his master and builds an empire. Over time, he slowly desires his own image and path and with entrapta, he sees more to his life. Yes, he still has to pay for his crimes, but he does have moments that set him on a path far from destruction. He threw horde prime off to his almost death and played a part to save entrapta and get her to override horde prime science mumbo jumbo. In short, hordak is evil through indoctrination and confused about having desires that are his own and not prime's

That's the feeling I got from it too, the only difference is that Entrapta stayed with him out of her own free will, even if she didn't fully understand the difference between good vs evil. Hordak never forced her to stay or took her prisoner in any way. The Entrapdak ship was important to show that even so called "good" or "evil" characters are not just one note. They are complicated and made up of shades of grey in between.

He's looking fondly at Entrapta instead and pulls her out of harms way when it explodes. Right there, you can clearly see that she means much more to him than getting back to Horde Prime.

Pretty much my experience too, although I didn't come for Catra and Adora as a couple. I came for Catra as an individual and expected her to be my favourite character. She's in the top 5, along with Glimmer and Shadow Weaver, but Entrapta's my favourite character, both as an individual and in her relationship with Hordak. Catradora's overrated and for most of the show it was outright toxic. Entrapdak's not only more endearing but far more healthy.

At first it was a kind of love to hate her thing because AJ Michalka's voice acting is amazing and the writing for Catra the first 4 seasons was great. Season 5 was where it fell apart because of how lazy and rushed Catra's redemption arc was. I hate how much it damaged the whole of Season 5, which had incredible potential but was single handedly dragged down by one character, who warped other characters like Adora (who literally went crawling back to Catra in Save the Cat after the badass "You made your choice. Now live with it" moment at the end of Season 3) and Glimmer (who never even mentioned the fact that her mothers death was Catra's fault) in order to be propped up. Even Entrapta and Scorpia didn't escape from Catra's influence unscathed because they had absolutely no trouble forgiving her, even though she treated them worse than anybody apart from Adora. To be fair, I wouldn't say it's out of character for Entrapta and Scorpia to be forgiving but the fact that it was so easy shows that the writers weren't willing to put any actual effort into developing Catra into a better person. If Catra had died in Save the Cat and they had rescued Hordak instead, the whole of the final season would be a hell of a lot better.

Oh my god. I LOVE ENTRAPTA. The fact that she’s like Hi there while Hordak is trying to scare her was amazing. I love how the pieced such a genuine character like her together and I loved the voice actress who voiced her. And the adorable relationship with Hordak is just awwwww and funny
i just want to aknowledge the beautiful work in this show about getting everyone something. we got bi couple, lesbians, non-binary people and still get straight couple. And they all feel genuine (except for perfuma and scorpia which always felt forced for some reason) I really like the writing in this show, simple yet effective. And also the fact that they all have different layers to their characters, you can like every characters with all their qualities and flaws.

Hordak’s face doesn’t seem like it’s designed to cry or blush, but that just makes it all the more tragic/hilarious when it happens.
Someone like entrapta managed to get her way into the heart of someone who was considered evil, and possibly changed their heart. And that is precious.
As a person who watches the old She-Ra this makes perfect sense since Hordak wasn't a one-sided evil villian.
Everyone thinks they’re such a weird pair, but the dynamic isn’t uncommon. Someone who has plans for world domination becomes enamored with someone who is willing to give them a chance. Come on, it’s like Discord and Fluttershy from MLP or Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

i suppose this ship is closer to that than the other weird as fuck one you mentioned, since this one is a chaotic neutral villain and a lawful evil villain

I'm gonna say it, I think this ship had WAAAAAY more chemistry than Catradora. I never felt a romantic element between the two main characters, and the flirting felt placed in to try and push an agenda more than a natural attraction. I saw them more as sisters than lovers, whereas these two had that spark to them.
Yep. Ironic that the best romance in a series that pushes LGBTQ relationships is a romance between a man and a woman.

I find how he trys to thank entrapta while still trying to sound intimidating but entrapta still got the memo, watching them i just cant help but squel inside
Entrapta just hugging onto Hordak at the end really just seals it for me
Oh my good lordie- she struggles with expressing herself so there’s like a whole thing in one of the ending episodes and it’s so refreshing to see her perfectly understanding hordak like “thanks, I like being your friend too” :)

Hordak is such a great character. Even with all of his imperfections he was a badass but still 'human' . Socially awkward when around someone he likes but still a badass most of the time. The scene of him going solo towards baby Adora in the field is one of my favorites.
I love the fact she isn’t terrified of him. He’s so used to people groveling and fearing him but she just is like, hey you’re blocking my light lmao I also love the ASD representation fir Entrapta
It’s the little smack Entrapta gives him when he goes to tell her she is not a failure that gets me every time 😂
