Yep....same here. My life is so much smaller ...I ve been in lockdown for the last 6 years ! Isolation is my life never mind COVID-19! The DWP harass me, ask for so many interviews, I spend half the year in heightened anxiety and 3 months feeling hopeful only to give up again as I mentally can’t hack it anymore. I worked 27 years and no...ll? Crap system.
So sorry to hear this. isolation can be a huge strain on mental health, and in some cases the system just doesn't work. Stay strong, we are all warriors.
Hi i was point blank refused ESA and had too much in savings to claim anything else. Just had to pay NI for last two year (about £300) and re-apply for contribution based ESA , your savings and partner earnings do not affect this. claim only lasts a year unless you are put in the support group. I was paid at the lower rate after about three weeks but backdated to my first claim date, waiting for assessment to go on the support group which could be a few months but payments would be backdated. Applied for pip at same time and have not heard anything back from them at all in three month. Its hard work being ill.
Hi iMicky, I too have been denied new style esa. If I make voluntary NI contributions for my shortfall in 2020, will they change their decision and pay me esa?
@@coffeesandwiches6382 Thats what I did, but when I paid two years NI they took it as one year and had to pay another year again, so if you have separate years to catch up I would try to pay each year separately. Contribution based ESA is based on the most recent two years minimum class two NI contributions, and then is only awarded for a year, but if you are awarded the higher rate (support group) after 90 days then it will continue indefinitely, because support group days do not count towards your 1st year. Once you pay contributions just keep checking your NI record to update then claim ESA. IT took two weeks to update for me. I was paid minimum rate for three months then put in the support group. :) only thing to effect contribution based ESA would be a pension if you receive one.
Thanks iMicky for your reply. I've since read online that you can only pay voluntary contributions if you are self-employed and pay class 2 contributions. I worked for a company (and paid class 1) and I now can only pay class 3 voluntary contributions, which won't count towards getting ESA 😯 Can anyone tell me if I am wrong about this?
@@coffeesandwiches6382 hi yes i was self employed, and paid a fortune in NI but overlooked class two, so had to catch up with that to claim. I don`t know if you can pay voluntary as i did. Through a personal on line tax account or your NI no. just try to create a .GOV AC and look at your NI contributions.
@@imickyme hi, yes I looked online at my ni contributions and I can only pay class 3. So I am stuck at the moment at what else (if anything) I could do to claim esa. I can't claim income related either.
I have spinal scolosis, spondylosis and stenosis. Ive neen going to the GP for 24 years with disabling pain and neen fobbed off every time until I broke my ankle since Ive lost feeling in my legs 3 years ago. Finally I was sent for xrays which diagnosed my spine condotions. I have worked all my life full time up until breaking my ankle 6 months ago and since then I have too much pain in my nack, knees, neck & hips. DWP found me fit to work and said my doctor has no right to sign me off sick anymore. I tried to work again and collapsed after 2 weeks. Im so ill and the jobcentre just bully me and even threw me out saying 'everyone comes in here saying theyre too sick to work'. Im terrified. They are going to sanction the universal credit I get so I will be homeless and likely die on the streets this winter as I have no family and nowhere to go. Its a disgrace. Im too ill to work. I cant help myself. I have xrays and physio reports. I know this is a common story and Im not alone in this situation.
I'm so sorry I haven't replied to your comment. This is truly heartbreaking 😞 & I'm absolutely speechless. The DWP can be heartless at times, their assessment is literally a tick-box exercise, it doesn't seem to take into consideration people's feelings and wider reaching issues. I hope things get better for you.
Hi My Application was refused and it says( you can do some type of work) I dont know what that means. Seriously I cannot work with my multiple problems. What can I do plz advice 😔
Sorry to hear that, I can't advise you on the best way to appeal your case as I have never been through that process myself, but you certainly can appeal. There may be videos here on TH-cam that can help you with it. Good luck
I've tried to get help but my doctor wouldn't help me going on disability for my AS I feel like I'm walking around in the dark so I push through the pain and still work even though I was advised not to so my question is this only available in the UK or can I get it to being in the US?....and advice would be greatly appreciated thank you .
If you had put in a default judgement in you,d not need a hearing. And the court would have more time to deal with these stooges.🐽How stressful being integrated like that.

Whole system is designed to kill us off with stress and depression

Once you’ve sent your application how do they contact you to decide whether you can get awarded esa
It was pretty quick. After the work capability assessment, they sent a letter through to me saying that I could get it.
How long do you have to wait for a decision after a assessment?
If you had put in a default judgement in you,d not need a hearing. And the court would have more time to deal with these stooges.🐽How stressful being integrated like that.
How long did you have to wait for assessment after sending uc50 form to them ?? I have been waiting since September last year.😔
I think it was a couple of months from memory. Its probably worth chasing up, over 6 months is a long time, even if they have a backlog.
One house stayed tow family ( my daughter and son and law me and my husband) how it’s working my ESA
I don't know, you'd have to contact DWP for that
it appears that you origionaly applied for Universal Credit
Has Silicone Reactive Disorder been ruled out?
Isn't that associated with implants?
Happy New Year
Happy new year to you too! 🙂
