Betta fish ideally should be kept in at least a 5 gallon tank with a heater. I keep mine in a 5 and a half gallon tank with filter and heater. It's very important that the water be at least 76 degrees with 82 being the maximum. I've been caring for Bettas for about 20 years.
According to fluval the new standard is a 2.6 gallon "perfect betta tank" 🤣 straight junk
They are hardy fish.. no need for them to care at standard environment unless you want to see their true beauty.

I had seen a double tail betta at Petco. Most beautiful one I'd ever seen, it was predominantly super white, with 2 medium sized spots of real green, not turquoise, but green green, on each side of it's body. I went to pickup an order of dog food, and didn't take my card. I came home, got it, went back to the store, and sadly it was gone. Actual green in a betta is rare, and with white, I had the perfect tank setup in mind but, found a black orchid that's blue and white that was almost as beautiful, so scooped him up and brought him home.

I live in a room in Taiwan you'd be surprised how much space you could get with a room.
What you do is you by like a metal rack that can hold a lot and you set up all your tanks. Of course live plants are so many kinds that don't need a lot of CO2 and they don't need a lot of light.
I've been in the beta hobby for 2 years and I'm an American living in Taiwan and we just now got aquarium soil.
Typically in Taiwan people like to use sand or they like to use colored pebbles.

Dan has such an amazing beautiful store. Everytime you show his store all the tanks are extremely clean and the fish look extremely happy and healthy to be in there. And I love how the fish follow you back and forth. Dan deserves some kind of medal for this amazing store. And I'm sure if you asked Dan to shut off the music while you are in there he would.
The Betta is really cool, but the tank is no good. Too small and wrong shape. Bettas like to swim back and forth like in a rectangular tank, and they are more comfortable if it's planted. Not trying to criticize, trying to help. You usually seem to try doing what makes your fish most comfortable. 👍😎🍄
in Malaysia, a koi plakat only cost like 1 or 2 dollars 😂

Just got mine... a female Koi plakat... she cost 250 (Philippine) pesos or 5 USDs...and she's ready to breed...
surely it also depends on pattern and form, a competition grade betta can easily goes up to 40 to 60 dollars
I know right I laughed so hard when I seen the price tags I was like straights suckas right here haha

Love the new betta, the koi bettas I've had all changed colors over time. You can take pictures every couple weeks to tract changes over time

I used to breed and sell goldfish in japan. I am currently living in america and I would highly reccommend the ranchus and the black moors together. The fantails could go in with them but they might get a bit big.
I agree w/the fantail goldfish and their size cause I actually own one
and he has gotten to be about 5-6 inches in the 6 years I’ve had him
I couldn’t take him w/me to the east coast but I do get updates on how he’s doing from a longtime old family friend back in Oregon
(She knows he belongs to me due to the fact i raised him from a fry)

Black moors are astoundingly beautiful fish, however you'd struggle to appreciate thier beauty in a pond. Go for something which has lots of colour! Orandas are pretty and super eye catching too! 😁👍

Those bettas sell for less than 10usd here in malaysia. They probably wholesale for 3usd a piece from thailand and sell at 10× price. Its all those transportation and animal rights cost tho. Hahaha

I have betta's for a long time and I go in rage mode when I see a tank for betta's like yours. A betta need 7,9 gal water with black ground and a lot of plants.

Bro i love discus, i totally reccommend them! especially since that tank says tap water discus. They were bread over time to not be AS sensitive to water conditions. i have mine in a 75g and do a 33% water change every 3 days and theyre still going strong! over a year now. Love my discus, i almost didn't have them because of my own fear of not taking good enough care of them
