05:02 phone codes are like this: 200s- west, 300s- middle, 400s east. Istanbul is the only city that has 2 phone codes, 0212 is european side, 0216 is anatolian side

A clue I've never heard you mention that would have helped point you further south in the Memphis Tennessee round: houses up north have steeper slopes to the roofs than houses down south, because southern house builders aren't as concerned about snow accumulation.

Losing in round 12 and losing 21 points against a high rated opponent is insanity
It's one of many reasons the geoguessr ELO system is absolute trash. It doesn't take any game metric into consideration, only your current ELO
15 rounds with 1200 vs 900 and the 900 wins on a Dominica hedge --> lose 15 points
2 rounds with 1200 vs 900 and the 1200 wins on a fair Argentina guess --> gain 2 points
I say this as a 900-rated player. The game metrics are easy to measure and can tell you a lot about the one-sidedness of a game but the devs are way too busy adding pointless features to the game to do anything productive or worthwhile
