"You need to break it apart", those words for a plastic action figure are a bit scary, ha ha. I'll have to wait to see how it looks in hand before deciding to make this modification but may elect to just leave as in stock form. Thanks for the post on how to do - as always interesting.
I've seen people fixing the gap by making the shield straps less thick with a dremel and then glueing them completely but I'm not 100% sure because I don't understand japanese, lol.

Yes you need to judge for yourself if you needed to do this mod, else you can use my method 2 in the previous video.

You need to pull the shoulder part all the way into the body before popping in the arm
