Join me on my escape from New York City to the Catskills wilderness area.
Thanks to Moto Guzzi Americas for lending me the V7 Special for the weekend and Anna at Kahn Media for making it happen! The 850cc is a perfect engine for a trip like this, and the bike is a swiss army knife to handle anything you throw its way.
I traveled to Upstate New York, up the Hudson River, to do some motorcycle camping near the areas of the Indian Head wilderness, Kaaterskill Wild Forest, and Hunter-west Kill Wilderness.
Name of the film: Escape from New York
Motorcycle: Moto Guzzi V7 Special
Say hi on Instagram @chrisironhardt
That's called quality content, I must appreciate your effort on making this video. Nice storytelling
I came here for a motorcycle review and was given a motorcycle ride with a level of poignancy and thoughtfulness usually reserved for great short stories, well done.
Cheers - thanks for the message, I appreciate it!
More than just a video, but a visual reset of the inner man's soul and thoughts. Thank you, Moto Guzzi is a beautiful machine, a lot of craftsmanship is apparent. Thank you.
That entrance onto the FDR in the beginning brought back nyc motorcycle memories for me from the early 80’s. Damn I’m old.
I could spend hours not just watching but listening to you, so much truth and beauty
Awesome narration! i love to listen to your words of wisdom.. Seeing your vids made me feel very nostalgic... keep on riding!!!🛵
This trip looks incredible, and the video is really good. I love it. Thank you for posting. It's a nice touch to see that gloves for motorcycling double as gloves for touching containers of boiling water.
It's always a treat to sit and listen to your narration & watch your videos - thanks
we got some nice spots in poconos too, had great time on bike last fall. cool video
Another great video. Well written and filmed. I can’t wait for the next one.
Really nice video with the v7special and beautiful scenery.i will get a guzzi soon.
Thanks for the ride. I use to live in Ossining NY and commute to my work in NYC on my motorcycle. That was a long long time ago.. Good memories accept the get off on the FDR drive and broken leg... Thats when I learned what a high side was!!
Again, Thanks for the memories...
Thought provoking, excellent in the manner of Jack Kerouac, well done!
The quality level of this content is two classes above
Rarely comment, but we need more content - always hawking for your new vids, nice work!
Great scenery. Glad u can manage to escape to it from time to time
Well done. I really enjoyed this (to me) new style of motorcycle video. I really enjoy the different types of motorcycle videos I've been finding on TH-cam. Thanks🎉
Thankyou for a very true and inspiring video.. Of course having a Guzzi as the star is just great. But.. the narrative spoke volumes..
Beautiful film I also own a Guzzi V7 850 special such a lovely bike love mine 😊❤👍😍 Pete
Im from montreal and this summer I went to the Adirondacks park on a moto guzzi v7 stone jumping from camping to camping, your video made me nostalgic as it was a very pleasant trip!
A really nice road trip with you, I was sort of dragged in by the storytelling when I was just expecting another review. Well done
brilliant time for another one by now, how are you enjoying the Guzzi so far
Love the chess analogy. Soothing video. Nice one.
Very philosophical this is simple loved it
I ride that area a lot, every shot seemed familiar.. In fact I came home yesterday from an ADK trip via Schoharie to Catskill. Was peak peak color around Indian Lake BTW I lived in Brooklyn 30 years ago but I never had that great open road experience you show. I did need to get out of the city a lot.
I'll be moving to NY soon and I'm so happy to see I can continue my outdoor adventures - thanks for sharing yet another cracking video, beautiful words as always 😊
Is it the Moto Guzzi V7's unique, balanced, and personal riding pleasure that inspires thoughtful introspection on life through returning to nature...?! 😳
Amazing, simply amazing! 👍👍
This really resonated with me, thanks! Cheers from The Netherlands
Cool video..really enjoyed it 💪
Loved it. Thank you.
Great video. I loved my V7 III Special.
Great video, enjoyed it. I travel to the Adirondacks for the same reasons.Cheers, Ronny in Canada
Guzzi❤, un mito!
Thank you.
Spray some silicone on the exposed bolts before they seize with rust. I got a v7 kept outside under cover and that was an issue, though it still runs great. I know indoor parking can be hard to find in a city.
Thank you for Moto guzzi v7 videos. İ want to ask you, will you take Guzzi v7 maintenance videos?? 😅
Yeh gave up cities, 20 years ago after Sept 11. Don't miss ny, or London or Sydney, I do miss the buzz, but living in the country is bliss,
Well done.
Keep life simplle
Buddy, you're a biker, but also a philosopher.
This is my dream, day. love it
Beautiful, and every time I watch your videos it makes me consider selling my high tech motorcycles and just getting back to the basics as you have. Two wheels and a motor.
I'm just thinking about the same thing. I have a Multistrada V4 and yesterday I drove a V7 Stone. well, it will probably be next. My friends say I'm a fu…ng idiot 😎😎
script is like stream of thought. love it..
nice zen roadtrip
Great Video!
Thanks, love it!🫵👍
Ride save Bro🤙
Great video! Thank you
came for the bike, stayed for the jeans 👖
nicely gone with the video
very nice roundtrip
That was superb! I too ride a Moto Guzzi V7 Special, but a 2020 version, and I also ride to Phoenicia often. But my ride is from northern NJ and takes about 2.5 hours by my various routes. I recognized some of the roads in your vid but not sure where you camped. Where was that site, if you don't mind. Perhaps I will meet you up there one day. Regards, Scott
Bravo. You're hired.
Great 👍
Wonderful, thanks!!
Hey! What are you wearing? How much protection do you have?
Good Idea 👍
The journey was more important than the choice of motorcycle, apparently.
Bravo!
Lovely
Is this your new bike chris?
Very nice video but in NYC is difficult to find the right motorcycle company to hangout and it’s not the most friendly biker country…btw I love your motorcycle choice
Yes that cool Peace out
❤
I really need the music from these videos
Wear some Levi’s jeans in particular and a black leather greaser jacket
Leave NYC. Thanks.
