They have a bunch of colors but I only buy black and white. I wear a Medium in men so I buy the XXL size in boys and it fits me perfectly and they’re alright quality too believe it or not.
I don’t 100% agree with one thing you said about the shoes, for most shoes you should keep them nice and clean, but for converse I think they begin to look better with wear (except for white converse obviously)

I occasionally wear a tan overcoat and tan Chelsea boots to class, but I live a little further up North so boots and coats are more acceptable. Similarly, if a slightly more well-dressed look is your style (ie less edgy), then wearing an outfit like this wouldn't be out of the norm. If it's not your style, now would be the best time to switch it up since it's a new school year (assuming you're in college as well),

TIP: im a girl myself for my personal taste when guys wear black i notice them less because they are like a shadow so I recommend lighter colors for the day because you stand out more and with dark colors I find it more attractive in the night
