Thank you for posting. This ship is so beautiful. I will be sailing on her in about 4 months. Adding the deck plan to your video is a really nice touch.
So glad you enjoyed the tour! Don’t forget to watch my cruise review as well: th-cam.com/video/h1Ik4tsSln4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Gbf3FtNCjxqBNxhh Enjoy your cruise!
Well, if the specific day on that month is the 15th, I'll also be on board. Leaving from Sydney and then on to Suva (Fiji), Dravuni Island (Fiji), Lautoka (Fiji), Mistery Island (Vanuatu), and Noumea (New Caledonia). Already counting the days. :-D
We cruised before 360 was added. We Sabatini's being where The Catch and 360 are now. Sabatini's current location seemed to be an open lounge? area, also I didn't notice slot machines in Take 5. At the time GiGi was still an included restaurant. Ships get updated regularly so it was interesting to see the variations experienced on your cruise.
@TheCruiseandTravelGuy Also worthy of note was the professionalism of the bartenders in Good Spirits At Sea. I spent an evening here talking with a severely vision impaired passenger accompanied by his service dog. With a simple signal to his bartenders his next drink would be prepared and quietly pressed against his fingers. His service dog laid at the foot of the stool but was also cared for by the staff. Both had Princess Medallions and well over 50 cruises, many consecutive. We had things in common so met a few times during the cruise, but whilst some passengers were nervous about the service dog I never saw him have difficulty navigating the decks with his Medallion. Admittedly he, the dog and crew were clearly seasoned in the Discovery environment.
@@gemcruiser6082 ahh yes I knew about the Take 5 slot machine addition - real shame actually. I don’t think that space needs the additional machines but I’m sure it makes sense to the bottom line for Princess! Lovely to read about your experiences onboard at Good Spirits, and how the guest with impaired vision was well catered for.
Great tour Adrian - thank you. We are booked on her repositioning cruise from Singapore in November 25 and really looking forward to that. By the way, what happened to Bistro Sur La Mer - it was in the original layout?
Glad you enjoyed the tour! Bistro Sur La Mer was removed in favour of The Catch by Rudi (as far as I know). The Catch is now the new seafood forward restaurant onboard - it's very good! Sabatini's replaced BSLM in Deck 7 on the Piazza, and The Catch now occupies the old Sabatini's location on Deck 5.
Thanks Adrian. Very helpful. Booked on a January 2026 cruise on Discovery Princess. Can’t wait! What did you mean by your reference to the sea walk being ‘on the bridge’ on Royal Princess. I have cruised on Royal and Majestic. The sea walk seems to be in the same location but the bar has been relocated. Is that right?
Hi Phil. Royal and Majestic have bridges in that spot, they’re not the same as Discovery. The bridge contains the SeaWalk. On Discovery, there is no bridge.
Wow Adrian this video is excellent, we don't know how you managed to film the areas without people. We are interested to cruise on her. Do do plan any cruises from Singapore in November or from Sydney in December ? If so, please let me know ❤ Sue
Thanks Sue! I get up super early to film ship tours, both to make sure I can avoid catching as many people as possible on film and also to make sure the viewer can see the ship properly. Discovery is sailing from Singapore to Sydney in November 2025. Head to my website if you’d like a hand finding out pricing and availability - www.thecruiseandtravelguy.com.au Thanks Sue!
Do you know how well Princess Cruises cater for Coeliac (Gkuten Free Allergy) my wife has this allergy and we have only travelled Celebrity who look after her so well? Thank you in advance Neville
They do a good job. I travelled with my sister in law earlier this year who can’t consume gluten or dairy, and she had no trouble. In the dining room, she’d be presented with the next night’s menu so she could select her preferred meals and these would be made to align with her dietary restrictions and served the next night. In the buffet, some items were clearly marked but the best thing to do is find one of the chefs (look for the hat!) and speak to them. Also, update your Princess app with your dietary needs as these will be reflected in your profile, but all guests are asked about any dietary restrictions when sitting to dine as part of standard practice as well.
Walked right past it on deck 6, just after the photo gallery. Tiny room, some variety of artwork that you see on most cruise ships. During any voyage there are numerous art auctions and showings held typically in Princess Live. I assume that answers your query?
I get up at around 4:30am and head out to film. That way you don’t have to watch a ship tour that is mostly other people’s backs, and I don’t have to unintentionally film too many people as they enjoy their holiday.
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuygreat! Very early 😅I’ve been on the Royal Princess for a 14 day cruise around New Zealand and loved it, such a smooth stable ship design
@ so glad you enjoyed the cruise! Royal is beautiful - and Discovery is even better in my opinion. Will you be cruising on Discovery when she comes down under later next year?
lol yes the shower curtains are a step backwards, though it was more of a heavier fabric curtain type-thing, so it didn’t come billowing into the shower stall which was good.
Unfortunately Princess Ruined Take 5 Jazz Lounge My Favorite Part Of The Ship By Removing The Live Jazz And Replacing It More Slot Machines. Princess That Was A Dumb Move.

Princess nailed it with the Royal class. The Discovery is the epitome of that design.
What a beautiful ship.
Fantastic walkthrough. ❤
Thanks for the visit
It's missing the suites/staterooms, which is what I wanted to see.

@ will do!
She is a beautiful ship and looking forward to sailing on her in March. She has the wow factor too
She certainly does, quite a beautiful ship.
Booked on Discovery in March 2026. Sooooo looking forward to experiencing it first hand.
So are we - see you onboard! Very exciting to try a more modern/fresh ship
Wow. Were are you going ?

Great review Adrian. Your ship tour videos are some of the best on TH-cam. We have booked the Discovery for Jan26 through CJ.
Thank you so much! And I’m so glad Cynthia could assist with your reservation 😄
Very comprehensive review Adrian. We are excited to be cruising on her next year for 28 nights from Seattle to Singapore.
Amazing cruise. You’ll be taking her from America to dry dock!
We’ll be on your 2nd leg, Yokohama to Singapore! We’ll visit Osaka World Expo pre-cruise.
Great review Adrian 😊
Thanks! 😀
Thanks for your excellent review. You explained everything perfectly. I’ll be on her in February 2025 for a Mexico Rivera cruise.
Enjoy your cruise! That’s the itinerary I just sailed and it was excellent.
161 days til Alaska on Discovery!
Me, too!!
Thanks Great video! I’m cruising discovery princess next year Japan to Singapore
Enjoy your cruise!
Great walk through. I noticed a two updates to her layout since we enjoyed her in '22.
Ooh what did you notice that changed?

Well only 359 days until we bring her back to Australia. So happy we booked on this now as she is beautiful. 🤩
Awesome!

476 days until we are on there. The count down is tough.
It truly is!
Makes it all the more exciting when the day arrives 😄
Are you planning ongoing on Crown princess?
Yes! Will have some Crown content out soon 😬

What's different on here to Sky Princess?
3 years Newer, with same numbers.
We did Sky to Norway in May
Not much. Sky, Enchanted and Discovery are all quite similar.

Fine Art? The deck plan shows it, but the walk through didn't?! We have been to the Art Show, and we found it enlightening. Is it still a thing?

@TheCruiseandTravelGuy Thanks for this gap filler in your Ship Tour
How do you manage to film it empty of guests?
I get up at around 4:30am and head out to film. That way you don’t have to watch a ship tour that is mostly other people’s backs, and I don’t have to unintentionally film too many people as they enjoy their holiday.

@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy yes January 2026 out of Sydney, a while to go yet, just a quick 3 day
Having cruised the Sun during the inaugural weeks, it’ll be sad to walk in those curtained shower stall again.

Unfortunately Princess Ruined Take 5 Jazz Lounge My Favorite Part Of The Ship By Removing The Live Jazz And Replacing It More Slot Machines. Princess That Was A Dumb Move.
Yeah, it would be better without the machines. Totally agree.
It looks awfully brown inside.
Oooh not like the older ships in the fleet. Check out my ship tours of Grand, Diamond and even Royal Princess to see how far along Discovery has come.
