  • Surfer is a popular software for contouring, 3D surface mapping, and terrain modeling. If you want to plot spot heights (elevation points) in Surfer, you can follow these general steps:
    Prepare Your Data:
Ensure your data is in a suitable format for Surfer. It typically involves having X, Y, and Z coordinates (longitude, latitude, and elevation) organized in columns. You can use a spreadsheet program like Excel or a text editor to arrange your data.
    Open Surfer:
Start Surfer and create a new project or open an existing one.
    Import Data:
    Go to the "Home" tab.
Click on "Open" to import your data file.
Choose the appropriate file type and locate your data file.
    Click "Open."
    Set Coordinate System:
After importing your data, go to the "Map" tab.
    Click on "Set Coordinate System."
Choose the appropriate coordinate system for your data.
    Create Grid File:
Once your data is imported, you need to create a grid file. In the "Grid" tab, click on "Data" and then choose an interpolation method to create the grid. Common methods include Kriging, IDW (Inverse Distance Weighting), or Nearest Neighbor.
Go to Specialty | Grid Values:
After creating the grid file, go to the "Home" tab.
Click on "Specialty" in the ribbon menu.
Select "Grid Values" from the Specialty menu.
    Select the Grid File:
In the "Grid Values" dialog box, select the grid file you created from the list.
    Adjust Display Settings:
Adjust the display settings for the grid values. You can set a color scale, contour intervals, and other parameters to enhance the visualization.
    View the Grid Values:
Click on "OK" or "Apply" to generate the visualization of the grid values on your map.
    Adjust Contour Settings (Optional):
If you want to display contours along with the grid values, you can go to the "Contour" tab in the ribbon menu and adjust contour settings.
    Customize Display:
Further customize the display by modifying the color scale, contour lines, and other parameters as needed.
    Save or Export:
Once satisfied with the visualization, you can save your project for future reference or export the map in your desired format.

Good Work... Please always drop the Demo Data you use so that one learning can use it to practice. Thanks
