Lines to Polygons using ArcGIS Pro
To convert lines to polygons in ArcGIS Pro, you can use the "Feature To Polygon" tool. Here are the steps:
1. Open ArcGIS Pro and your project: Ensure your lines feature class is loaded in your map.
2. Prepare your data: Make sure your lines are clean and form closed loops. If they don't, you might need to edit them or use the "Planarize Lines" tool to split intersecting lines.
3. Open the Geoprocessing pane: Click on the Analysis tab on the ribbon and then click on the Tools button to open the Geoprocessing pane.
4. Search for the "Feature To Polygon" tool: In the Geoprocessing pane, type "Feature To Polygon" in the search box and select it from the results.
5. Configure the tool:
o Input Features: Select the lines feature class you want to convert to polygons.
o Output Feature Class: Specify the location and name for the new polygon feature class.
o Cluster Tolerance (optional): You can set a cluster tolerance to snap vertices together if they are within a certain distance, but be cautious as this can alter your data.
o Attributes: Choose whether to maintain, discard, or combine attributes from the input features.
6. Run the tool: Click Run to execute the tool. The new polygons will be created and added to your map as a new feature class.
7. Verify and edit polygons: After the process completes, visually inspect the new polygons to ensure they were created correctly. You may need to make some manual adjustments.
By following these steps, you should be able to convert line features into polygons in ArcGIS Pro.

Interactive elevation profile basics The interactive Elevation Profile tool generates a graph of height values along a linear path in the view. The profile is calculated using the ground elevation surface in a map (2D) or a scene (3D), and unlike other exploratory analysis tools, the values are derived from the data sources for the elevation surface rather than the view's level of detail. Selecting features by location in QGIS involves using spatial relationships to select features from one layer based on their relationship to features in another layer. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do this: 1. Open QGIS and load the layers you want to work with. You can load layers by dragging and dropping files into QGIS or by using the "Add Layer" button. 2. Open the 'Select by Locati...

The Topographic Ruggedness Index (TRI) is a measure of the difference in elevation between adjacent cells in a digital elevation model (DEM). It is a quantitative measure used to assess the variability of terrain or surface roughness in a given area. It is often used in geospatial and environmental studies to evaluate how rugged or uneven a landscape is. Formula (mean-min)/(max-min) Interpretat...

How to Calculate Flow Direction using ArcGIS | Flow accumulation | Stream Order | Stream to Feature
มุมมอง 132หลายเดือนก่อน
In the context of hydrology and water resources, flow direction refers to the path that water takes as it moves from one location to another, typically following the natural slope or gradient of the terrain. The flow direction is influenced by various factors, including: 1. Topography: Water flows from higher elevations to lower elevations, following the slope of the land. Hills, valleys, and m...

Align Geometry of Raster for Modelling and Prediction
มุมมอง 70หลายเดือนก่อน
Aligning the geometry of a raster means ensuring that multiple raster datasets have the same spatial properties, such as pixel size, extent, and coordinate system. This alignment is crucial for accurate spatial analysis, modeling, and prediction. When rasters are aligned, each pixel in one raster corresponds directly to a pixel in another raster, enabling precise comparison and integration of d...

cant understand shit man
Does minutes relate to the bearing of the line? Or the distance???
The bearing, please. Bearings are recorded in Degrees, Minutes, and Seconds.
Your recording isn't clear. Please tilt the camera closer to the workspace next time

THANK YOUUU

Good day team, nice video. Please, can you always attach sample data to your videos to follow through while watching the videos. Thank you.
thank you! This is really helpful
You're welcome.
Please can 30m interval be used during levelling project sir
Yes, Bolu. However, it won't give you a very good depiction of the change in elevation of the terrain, especially in a relatively small area. It might be OK if you're working on a larger area because you might not need as much details as you'd in the smaller area. Again, it depends on the specifications given to you for the project. I hope these help!
This Subscribe shit is annoying as fuck

I need how to get horizontal distance and slope distance
You're welcome.
Both can be measured on site depending on the instrument available. Slope distances are usually gotten using tapes because of slope error and others. However, if you use an EDM, it corrects for all errors and gives you the horizontal distance of that line.
Thanks ❤
Thank you!
