I had the same issue on the same solder joint! I just scraped the plastic back a couple mm, covered it in flux and stretched the solder out. We'll see how long it lasts.
I replaced my park neutral safety switch and that didn’t fix my issue. My symptoms are dim reverse light while in drive once I hit 44 mph it goes into limp mode and the reverse light is bright. Would a bad flexible circuit board cause that type issue?

Excellent Video! Do you know if this is the same issue that causes the vehicle to downshift when you turn your lights on?
Could be since the ecm will get confused about the current gear.

I don’t see too many fuel gauge issues on Toyotas. The last couple I have seen have been caused by rodent chewed wires above the tank.
