Ah just a nice, peaceful game about moving a cat around and-oh, wait, no there's an existential crisis.
I’m making a fantheory about push the cat, which is an insane sentence:
daisy (anime girl) loved her cat so much that when push got extremely sick she uploaded their brain into a computer so the cat wouldn’t die [hence the computer and mouse line]. the game is going to be a message about letting go because push did not ask for this digital life full of existential dread and conscious thought for eternity and just wants to die happily
Maybe that’s why there were conway’s game of life shaped hearts
Maybe the way they got sick is by eating daisies and that's why it had the daisies are poison thing

There's something so funny about watching Tyler mechanically solve puzzles in a game that makes me feel like a crazy person. I don't know what's going on. You don't know what's going on. He doesn't know what's going on. But he's going to solve these puzzles.
Literally the only thing about this that resembles Baba is the grid-based movement and single color sprites.
Wait until Tyler discovers the ZX Spectrum.

It's a bunch of small patterns of oscillators and spaceships that exist in Conway's Game of Life

Ah, the curse of having a QWERTZ keyboard. Back in the flash-game days I was always confounded why people chose to use the letter between T and U on the keyboard for all their games. That's so impractical. Nowadays I know why - but that doesn't really make it any better if games don't have rebindable keys o-o

Most of these are stable shapes, top left is a walker, and the one below it is a tetris piece and I don't know what it does
I want more of this story, but also I need you to know how much actual cat pushing I did while watching this video (he jumped on the kitchen counter while I was making dinner)
