Really helpful info, I was looking at the thing I do and discovered atleast 3 ways I can improve. (light ammo, over extending and tight tying) I was probably getting 100 shots a band, ahwell I got 10 bands with my slingshot so atleast I have some time to fix some of these problems, thankyou John!
My son and I are just getting into it. Thank you for providing knowledgeable lessons for us beginners. Having a blast! We picked up 2 of the Axiom Ocularis. Love em..Take care bud! Subbed! 👍
Great informative vid John. I’ve got one of your Ali PPSG and must say that after 6 months of practice I am completely at one with it now. I don’t hunt....only cos I can’t find the time....but with 9.5 steel and 25/20 TBG singles the thing is a absolute beast! 10 metre beer cans turned end on so I’m aiming for the bottom of the can. Every shot hits the target. Glad you are starting to put up more new vids. I’ve learnt so much from you.....if not everything. Cheers .👊✌️
Shaun McGrew cheers for that....I’ll get the calculator out and convert your set up to mm and give it a go. And yes, I only use 9.5mm steel now. Bought a mould and cast my own 10mm lead and have tried larger steels. But, basically a disaster! Such a difference in aim etc. I just don’t get on with anything other than 9.5. So accurate for me. I’ll let you know how I get on with your set up. Thanks again.
First I want to thank you for posting this video. You obviously know you stuff and I learn a lot from you about slingshots. Your #8 and #3 is my number 1&2. I buy Them pre-cut and tied so I Figured tht was normal to break at the pouch tied. and I didn't know shooting light ammo would affect the bands but it makes sense once you said it, it's basically like dry fire. Question i have is how to know which bands are too heavy and which ones will be ok for the small ammo I often shoot
I'd also like to suggest adding a little talc to your bands and fork tips before each shoot, I'm fairly confident it is adding to my band life quite significantly over the several months I've been doing it. Perhaps worth a proper test, John?
??? Quality of the elastic?? As a beginner, I'm confused by all the different elastics!!! Time for a video or two, on what elastics what, John!! { Thanks for all the vids you have up!! }
Hey John, guys, question please, this theraband gold,is it the same bands that you can purchase in gym stores, saw the labeling on box saying "theraband gold 1.5m long exercise bands"...thanks
Hey John I just got back into slingsots/catapult's about 4 weeks ago and iv got back to where I'm an ok shot and can hit a bottle top pretty regularly at 10 meters but I'm a horribly bad cold start shooter (I have to warm up) and lately it seems I haven't been real consistent . I know all the things to do but I can't seem to drill the target like i should. Any tips you got for me would be great. Love your channel...
hi john great video on bands. was watching one before you were trying out the red wide band think .82 ? can you tell me were i can get them from john thanks bill .
Is there an expected shelf life for theraband? I bought a load a while back, kept it dry, in the dark and away from anything else, it perished way quicker than expected. Its hot here in summer but not all year and not turbo hot!!
Theraband is natural rubber so it perishes quickly ,try and keep it in an air tight container. Most people don't use it any more , try gzk or snipersling rubber. Hope this helps jim
Cool video, Do you use a rotary cutter? Thinking about getting the same slingshot u have but not sure if i want side facing forks or upward facing forks.
Anyone know if there is a meet or some open day anytime soon looking to get a catapult or two been on the website doesn’t say only asking because the ones I want are currently out of stock and every meet you guys have on TH-cam looks amazing tables full of different kinds of catapults that would be better for me getting hands on probably worse for my wallet tho everything I touch I will want to buy but it’s a risk I’m willing to take
I was doing dry firing and putting small pebbles in to save on steel ball bearings - Not anymore more. Thanks John. Brilliant advice...
You are a great catapult instructor John; thank you!
Gamekeeper John One of the best things on you tube 👍

How to avoid hand slap? What is your tehnicue Jhon ?
that can be from too light of ammo
Why would dry firing cause an issue? Is it because it’s a wasted shot? A pull is a pull isn’t it?
