Definitely! The extra colors in the blue of the water and additional contrast on your desktop picture on the A95L sold me . The extra contrast in the A95L also made the most difference to me in the games- gave them a rich 3D look over the B9 Very nice TV but no OLED killer...yet"
One word, “richness”. The Oled giving you the contrast of a pure black to color adds so much richness to the picture. Oled is more defined and motion looks buttery.
Why? The sky looks purple on the A95L and blue and white on the Bravia 9 like it should. I have owned both TVs and I can tell you the Bravia 9 is the clear winner!
Also, the phenomenon you were experiencing with destiny 2 is due to a raised EOTF. 4:22 of the video A95l, default as it maybe, you had it on brightness preferred. B9, you had it on gradation preferred. That is 2 completely different EOTF profiles for HDR. With the HDR games, you were looking at a artificially brightness boosted image on the a95l.
it's more than that. Destiny 2 has HDR in-game settings where you can tweak the Nit capability and black floor and so on. It has 3 images to compare to. On top of that there is even more things to take into account. Windows 11 itself can be calibrated for HDR. Using Windows HDR calibration app. Since a B9 has been tested to hit 2850 nits in game mode on a 75". I suspect the A95L doesn't hit more than 1500 nits in same result. Now of course average APL is different than windows measurements. The B9 should still be brighter in larger scene HDR which we see in this Destiny 2 demo. So I think some tweaking needs to be done and either place both in Brightness preferred or gradation preferred. Now none of this might make some dramatic change. But it is definitely something to look at. Easy to overlook. But it's more than just the settings on the TVs. Especially with HDR that on PC gaming is more times than not totally messed up.
Another great video TKK. But just to bring it up, the B9 is being kneecapped in the sense that the PC's HDR settings are not set up to take advantage of the much higher NITS output that the B9 is capable of. With the way this is filmed it is the same feed from a PC to both sets. One thing that is not shown is the HDR settings for each TV, what was shown was the SDR settings. With these TV's when a game is HDR it switches the TV to different HDR settings. We also don't know what the NIT level for HDR brightness was set on the PC. Now I fully understand why this had to be done this way to make a comparison. The only way to do this is having 2 PC's but then trying to sync gaming to the same would be a challenge. Perhaps revisiting something like Destiny with the PC set up to take advantage of the B9's higher NIT output. Not sure if that will change anything but just wanted to bring this point out. At the end of the day, another fantastic video TKK....you are the "ONLY" one really providing this type of content so it is very much apprecited.
Thank you. And yes. With two pc it would be virtually impossible to get perfect side by side comparisons done. Because everything is running through the receiver this was the best I could do in my setup.
First thx for the comparisons and filming in HDR is a huge thumbs up from me. I know it might be hard to run both with different settings on the game end but Destiny 2 for example has its own HDR slider. If both are set the same you won't be able to see each others strengths. Setting the B9's in game HDR to match its much higher Nits would tell a different story than what you + your viewers are seeing. Anyway keep up the good work.
One question, is the blooming visible if you look centered? Since all the LEDs with VA panel show very exaggerated blooming if you look at them at a vertical angle, and the B9 is on the ground, so if I'm not mistaken you see it from above. The viewing angle improvement filter that this TV has only affects horizontal angles. Good job and thanks for the vids
2023's best TV still suffers from black crush. If people are going to complain about off angle blooming than we need to acknowledge black crush. In these demonstrations.. the Bravia 9 is the clear winner. Brighter, more details in the highlights and more details in dark scenes.
Sup TK, awesome content. Tech Gaming Villa and Awesome Tech Gaming Pro are using your bravia 9 videos on their channel. Confused me at first but i believe you're the original creator.
@@AllAboutTKK Interesting, though there really seems to be credits now, I don't recall seeing it earlier at the time of my comment. Best be wary about that guy. Looking up his channel there are tons of videos which are likely from other youtubers (without credits), acting as if he filmed the video. We can see his fishy behavior since he has not only remixed the video, but also cropped the video as well, in hopes nobody realizes it. He could've credited you after noticing that people are reporting him. Additionally crediting in the description box means he can remove it at any time and continue using more of your content. That said if you're ok with it, I guess it's fine.
Any issues in general with the A95L for PC usage? Thinking about picking one up to use as a PC monitor. I have an LG G1 right now but it's suffered a bit of burn-in (from Destiny 2) so I'm looking to replace it. I've tried the LG G4 but it has an issue that isn't being widely reported yet having to do with diagonal lines so I need to move onto something a bit more reliable. Hoping the A95L is a stable platform at this point (I know there was a big software update planned for this year but I don't know if it's rolled out yet). Any insights would be appreciated.
Wow, this is probably the best tv comparison video on TH-cam. I previously decided on the 75 Bravia 9 and am just waiting on the Sony online store to restock but now I have to reevaluate my decision again. When it came to movies, I was 100% sold on Bravia 9 over oled but after watching the gaming comparison, it’s back to even. I gotta find a sports comparison and that’s probably going to be the deciding factor. I don’t like the pinkish whites on oled though and I’ve always avoided oled because of brightness but it’s come along way since 2020 which was the last time I bought a tv
TKK thank you for this amazing comparison video. I liked the vertical comparison + HDR rendering + excellent commentary by far the best comparison no doubt finally, I can make a purchase decision after seeing this Video. For me still OLED superior, I am getting the G4. It's like you getting the full version of the picture with OLED vs a limited version with LED. It's like 4k vs 1080p this video you done was extremely helpful thanks again TKK.
I definitely understand that the tvs were set to the same settings but IMO, the color on the OLED is not accurate. If your flesh tones are making everyone on screen look like red, then it is also skewing anything else being displayed. The human eye loves saturated color and will always pick the more contrasting image as higher quality. Over YT, the contrast on the OLED and some colors do look better and you can clearly see that the motion handling on the OLED is better in quick moving sequences. But the OLED skewing so far red combined with the contrast set too high (there is a lot of black crushing) is making me like the B9 better. If both tvs were calibrated, I think the OLED would win for video games because the motion is so much clearer. But the B9 would win for me in tv and movies for sure because OLED (as a whole, not just the A95) jutters very poorly in 24fps content. i.e. every single tv show and movie you can get your hands on. In a perfect world, I'd have an OLED for games and a barco projection setup with an SI black diamond screen but money.... you know? haha! So, I'll settle with the best miniLED I will be able to get my hands on when the time comes. Unless a company comes out with a fix for OLEDs and 24fps content.
The fact Bravia 9 comes that close is impressive. I would only pick it for reasons outside of picture quality, e.g. sunlight hits the screen, or I'm afraid of burn-in (but LEDs can fail too), or I want to watch/play SDR at max brightness for a long time with no dimming.
The colors just pop on the A95l. I've only gamed on Samsung QD OLED, and I preferred it to any other LED I've ever tried. Once you experience QD, it's hard to go back. Good job TKK
This certainly gives me more confidence in going with the Bravia 9 for my HTPC setup at home. While I love the deep blacks and contrast on an OLED, the Bravia 9 compensates with brightness. I'm still a bit concerned as well with OLED TVs running of a PC. There are a lot of static UI elements on PC, from just the windows home screen, to web browsing, and UI in games.. OLED monitors are optimized for it with overall less brighness. But OLED TV's get much brighter, making the risk higher. I feel like I'd get more out of the Bravia 9 being able to run it at 100% all the time, if I wanted anyways, without the risk. Seeing it in person at Bestbuy next to some of the other OLED TV's like the A95L, G4, Bravia 8, and such.. The contrast and black levels are still amazing for an LCD. I've been an OTR trucker for the last 10 years, gaming on a laptop for awhile.. recently been investing in a setup in my room at home, and applying for local work. I wanted an TV/PC setup over a desk just for overall comfort. I miss good ole couch gaming lol, I'll just be replacing the couch with my bed.
Sorry for asking twice, but I am wondering how NHL looks onthe B9. Thanks and great video! You said during the Ghost of Tushima that the B9 looked cloudier, but is that something that could be adjusted for? Same for the color, as you said the A95L has better color, but could the B9 be adjusted to be more colorful? Lastly, you said the 20 minute mark you said the fire doesn't match the B9, but are you saying the B9 is better or brighter or that the A95L is more colorful or better? Cheers, eh!
@@ElGruesobro, both panels settings were set the same despite being two very different technologies, they were clearly being held back from their best. This is not a good comparison.
This oks so good on my iPad with oled really bright when you were selecting like on my a90j is the and oled brighter? Thinking of upgrading or waiting for next year see if Sony upgrades the a95l
Good Video , i had like 4lcd tvs last several years , and when oled reached 1000nits , peaks , im on S90C now , i can say for gaming oled is the way to go , and led lcd no more has clear win in brightness area.
Some suggestions for content for tomorrow's video. Interstellar - Coop waking from his dream starting at 1:48. This is a great scene to show case differences in detail for very low light scenes. The scene at 8:31 is also great for showcasing how well the tvs can display a gradient from yellow to blue. My 2017 OLED absolutely freaks out in this scene and displays horrible blocking in the cloud details. HP and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - 50:52 is another excellent low-light scene for flexing a tv's ability for contrast. Just how much of the crowd is lost? Can you see the whole crowd? 52:39, an even better scene for low light detail with a super bright detail on screen. I'd be interested to see if the B9 is blooming hard here or not and how possibly changing the zone dimming setting can help or hurt that with blooming vs peak brightness. (peak brightness takes a hit when local dimming control is set to high). John Wick 4 - this movie has too many demo worthy scenes but the gun fight starting at 2:08:25 should showcase a good contrast/black levels/peak brightness tv-fight. Scene at 2:23:21 should be another demo-worthy scene for peak brightness, color gamut, and contrast. Toy Story 4 - basically the entire opening sequence. Excellent scenes for taking screen grabs for peak brightness and contrast details. Any signs of blooming around lightning in the dark parts of this scene? Top Gun: Maverick - 36:46, Excellent screen grab (and other examples of this in the movie) with the sun behind Maverick's head. Just how much detail is lost or seen as you get closer to the sun there. There's tons of scratch details all over the canopy of each jet in this dog fight training scene. Another good screen grab of this is 37:10. I'm sure there's loads of content that can be taken from Dune 1/2. but I unfortunately haven't seen them enough to comment on specific scenes for video. The opening monologue is full of demo-worthy video content. Feyd-Rautha's birthday gladiator scene should be another fantastic scene for a tv-fight between average picture level, contrast, peak brightness, and motion. What detail is in scene in the "fireworks". Details of the creepy dudes at 1:15:14. Do one of the tvs dim during this sequence due to the constantly high white levels? The Batman is another winner for dark scenes. Kingsman: The Secret Service - Fight scenes starting a 21:14 and at 1:19:05. The scenes will test each tv's motion handling capabilities to the absolute max.
Curious what you’re using for in game peak brightness settings since the Bravia 9 has a higher peak brightness I feel like the b9 could perform better if you set brightness for it. But I get it’s hard to compare then.
@@AllAboutTKK fair yeah. Gaming is one of the few areas where you can actually get content that goes up to the rated brightness of these new minileds. I’m curious what proper 4000 nit gaming would be like. but fair enough recording that properly would be impossible
@@luism8130 Not true, my Sony Miniled X95K 65" flickers like there's no tomorrow in VRR mode. I've been recently interested in ADS Pro panels such as the Hisense U8N 75", those should not flicker and are good for PC gaming.

I've seen people report that they tried connecting their 4090 to their bravia 9 directly via HDMI on PC Mode/Game Mode, 4k@120, 10 bit, with vrr and hdr and it didn't work. They got a black screen. Can anybody confirm if you can have all these enabled while connecting your PC directly to the TV, or is it only possible while bypassing through a receiver? Also, a German reviewer said in Game Mode(I'm guessing PC Mode too) the local dimming is definitely inferior in performance to Film Mode so it will exhibit more blooming.
The SDR gaming was without peak luminance and at 30 brightness. So you can bet the B9 would be far brighter if cranked. The HDR settings is hard because Windows 11 needs to be calibrated for each TV and same for in game settings. Having a 1500 nit peak TV vs a 2850 nit peak TV and you can't get the same results using the same settings. Brightness preferred was on the A95L in HDR as well, which lifts EOTF mid tones. Smaller highlights is where the OLED Should be better. But bigger HDR, not as much. Not when the B9 supposed to be brighter. But there is a lot of factors at play.
Man. I follow you from Germany, I love your work, your voice and the closeness you have with your audience in your various expertise and point of view / listening I decided to acquire the A95L in 77 inches. It's my first TV investment since I received my first paycheck ahah. Would you advise me to connect the power cord directly to a wall socket or a specific power strip, an inverter socket? I've heard that non-optimized connections can damage TVs. Thanks for everything you've shared with us
@@AllAboutTKK No worries, it's always nice to get a like or a reply from you. The best is the content you offer us on TH-cam. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
I love my A95L for gaming. Only thing I don’t like about this TV is sometimes it just randomly stops outputting sound from my home theater speakers. It switches to tv speakers and when I switch it back to the home theater system it doesn’t output any sound thru the external speakers. I have to mess with it for a few minutes to get it to start playing sound thru the home theater system again.
Although I don’t own a PC this is a good comparison for if I were to hook up my PS5 and Destiny is a good test game as it has stars and a lot of contrast. I think I’m back on the B9 train
I was going back and forth on this the last few weeks. 65" a95L or Bravia 9 as they are only $300 apart in price. The benefits of OLED to me beats out any draw backs with burn-in worries vs the shockingly awesome bright B9 and the great, but still not OLED picture quality. My TV room is also 100% light controlled by me, so the OLED won out in the end. My a95L comes on Thursday :)
The colors on the OLED are a little more rich than the B9 with the current settings. I would like to see you make the B9 look it’s best by increasing all of the enhancements just to see how much of a difference it really is.
@@AllAboutTKK It's called MWave. (Midwest AV Experience) The TH-camr youthman runs it. Fomo will be there a long with Brian. They're having a segment covering different TV's. It's a home theater focused event with a ton of different products there. There will be speakers, projectors, tvs, amps etc. it's at the Kansas City convention center. You should check it out!
Knew which tv was which before you started talking. The highlights on the Bravia 9 are showing just how big of a deal peak brightness is and how that affects color luminance and gamut. Also, the A95L looks very magenta in the video... Is it that way IRL?
Ghosts of Tshusima is a visually tricky game...I like the extra visual detail on the B9, but I also like the richer contrast and color of the night scenes on the A95L. I would keep the A95L and play with the game's brightness setting to get more facial detail.
When you switched to Destiny, the magenta on the OLED is for sure clipping. That's what's making the OLED look brighter in the menu. We can also see while you're playing Destiny that the OLED is rearing an issue that is an OLED problem (not just the A95). You can see it at 27:05. As an OLED transitions from white to black as a gradient, there are severe cut offs at each shade. Even my 2017 OLED does it. However, the superior contrast of the OLED is evident on the top right of the screen with showing the whispy clouds and space background. It looks awesome. The APL of the B9 is for sure dimmer. I wonder if there's a settings change that could be made to increase that without clipping the highlights? At 28:20, you see again that equal settings does not mean an equal fight. It's highly evident that because the OLED is capable of such extreme contrast, the contrast cannot be set to the same level as the B9 and vice-versa. The middle and middle left of the OLED is experiencing full clipping (completely losing detail in the highlights) whereas the B9 has that one single super bright spot close to the middle that could be clipping but I'm not 100% sure because my screen that I'm watching on isn't 100% dialed in. Another screen grab can be pulled at 28:57 to show this issue again. Check out the highlights on your gun and the left piece of that broken missile hull. The highlights are full clipping on the gun to the point of losing all detail and there is a sharp gradient on the missile hull where you're losing detail. The B9 shows the detail of the gun and there is a smooth gradient on the missile hull. Lastly, the white balance also seems like it cannot be set to the same setting for both tvs. If both tvs are set to the same white balance in this test , the OLED definitely is cooler than the B9. It's very apparent when you're playing destiny that the B9 is too warm just based off the snow. It's yellow instead of white.
Don't forget the In game HDR settings calibration. He games on OLEDs whenever he tweaked those in game setting long ago they were set at much lower nit levels. The same way with tweaking the black floor or "white paper" etc. Then you have windows 11 HDR calibration. It is not set for the B9 either. The A95L is in brightness preferred tone mapping. Which just makes everything brighter. The B9 was not. So considering these things. A lot could change with setting all these to be "correct" for the B9. This is something easy to overlook. He just didn't think of it and most wouldn't.. But it also means he would have to either set it for A95L or for B9. The B9 would be hampered in HDR if set to A95L. And the A95L would clip way more and blow out with B9 settings. The B9 has been tested to hit 2850 nits in game mode. Of course real life APL translation would be different. But I would imagine it would at least equal the A95L in that regard. You are also correct with white balance on camera.
A little request if possible for any new video you might do. Is it possible to lower the camera so it's more centered between both TVs instead of being higher and more head-on with the A95L. The reason I am asking is that OLED has zero effect on angles. But a VA panel MiniLED can lose some contrast and also show blooming slightly when filmed from a higher angle. Love the content and appreciate show it all off. Looking forward to more. Can't get enough lol.
Thank you for this thoughtful request to make the video better. But unfortunately because of my layout, this is optimal for me showing both tv panels as much as possible in one shot. Without me having to totally rearrange my home to accommodate, if the B9 was any larger even this wouldn’t be possible.
@@AllAboutTKK I get it. I made another comment about some potential tips for the Destiny 2 comparison. It's in HDR and Destiny 2 might have in game HDR calibration for nits and black level settings. Also Windows 11 itself can be calibrated for HDR using "Windows HDR calibration" app from MS store. This allows the colors and highlights and black levels be tweaked. Since A95L and B9 has different brightness levels and so on. This could have an impact. So if you did that type of calibration and set the HDR to be what B9 can do. Then at least you can test the same scene again and see if it made any difference. I think you had A95L in "brightness preferred" as well in Tone mapping. It could have had some impact too. Go back into Destiny 2 and the HDR calibration and you will see the 3 images for color, shadow detail and highlights and the numbers below for "nit" settings and I think black level. If you have set up your game to a certain value. That value is NOT going to be what the B9 would have. Now this might not make any dramatic difference if you set it according to the B9 capabilities. But combine it with doing the Windows 11 HDR calibration as well set for B9 and not A95L or another OLED you last used the 3080 PC with. I think OLED at times just have some advantages, but it kind of looks strange that the B9 isn't doing what, one would think it could do. Maybe it's Sony and the game mode for the B9. But I don't get how the A95L could look brighter in larger HDR highlights. Small ones yes, because per pixel dimming. But not large ones. Feels like the HDR was "limited" on the B9. Which could be because of above mentioned reasons. Love these comparisons. So this isn't some critique just tips you might not have thought of because you sounded like "what is happening" lol and I agree.
that A95L is mind blowing screen, i have never owned oled tv nd I've always wanted one but burn in issues scared me first oled I owned is my switch was in middle of luigis mansion 3 when I continued game on new oled switched was mind blown of how perfect black colors nd contrast are nd that on switch guess on tv its even more crazy , new experience to my eyes , but have a question : on destined purple color was fked up it was blown it was literally white in some places is that from tv or because its plugged on PC nd not calibrated correctly ?! or this is how the tv is?
It’s obvious what Sony is doing. For their QD-OLED tv’s they are dependent on Samsung. And Sony doesn’t move as many tv’s as LG and Samsung. So in order to keep the cost down (since QD-OLEDs are still pricy to produce and don’t sell well to the mainstream tv buyers) they made a tv with old technology in a new jacket. The A95L is obviously still the better tv. Better colours etc. The brightness of the Bravia 9 doesn’t make up for the flaws of LCD/LED technology. The Bravia 9 is purely a budgeting move for Sony. Watch and see how great Sony’s QD-OLED tv will be next year
In HDR, the B9 destroys any oled. The details and brightness in HDR for mini led is just better. It just loses at contrast and color pop which can be subjective. Sony wants mini led because it's closest to the gold standard for HDR. QD-Oled does not get anywhere close to the mastering standard for hdr cause of the brightness limiter. I'm thinking sony is using this year as a experiment to see what their future flagships will be. I'm betting they will continue with mini-led as that technology advances faster than oled.
Yeah well good luck finding videos in real time with anyone that owns both and will post such. I did the best I could and I think was a good enough showing. Respectfully.

You might need some help to understand. The Bravia 9 is brother at 30 than the A95L at max, turning it up causes the camera to clip which means you get no video. Always a pleasure to see a person who doesn’t make content tell a person who does how to make content. But thanks for the comment.

I find it somewhat odd that the game mode is dimmer on the B9 and I am actually talking in comparison to previous years MiniLED and even older LCD FALD. It really looks dim at times. I wonder if they will change that with an update. If they do it on purpose or if it is some kind of limitation of processing. But that wouldn't make sense to me. It's "brightness". If it comes off a little too dim. I want them to fix it to be honest. B9 supposed to be really bright and then get it nerfed in game mode, is just huh.. That said I bet Sony is "dialing" in the TVs a bit over some firmware. It's all new backlight and Pentonic SoC used and so on. So it's not same old same old. When the TVs our out in the wild in consumers hands they will get feedback and reviews and so on. I hope they don't just ignore anything and actually try to make the best possible picture and levels. I don't get how there is even blooming at that compiling text and spinning character. It looks like 25% as bright as A95L. I trust what you are saying. But it makes no sense at all. It's so dim I can barely even see it on my screen lol. It's concerning to be honest. I feel Sony needs to do something with game mode even if it can look good, it's not correct IMO.
Great comparison - the OLED seems better in gaming which we've seen elsewhere as well. I think your video was closer. In your other video with regular content, it was much harder to tell them apart. I do wonder how the B9 does in a normal and bright environment. The A95L pops in the dark but I've no idea if it would pop the same way in a super bright room or would the B9 pop more? If someone only watches in the dark, it'd be silly not to get the A95L but dark viewing is almost 5-10% for most folks.
@fullhd5277 That could put it at 800 nits full window assuming the increase applies to full window. That's about as much as you need - the X95L and B9 hit that. I have an OLED laptop that does 800 nits full window (I thought it was 1,000 but it's actually a bit lower when the entire screen is white) and it can hold its own against an older LED even in full brightness. To be honest, if OLEDs can hit 800 nits at 50% window and 600 nits at 100% window, they would be perfect for all-day viewing even if the sun is setting and coming in hot into your house. But they are getting better and use processing to try and push brightness in some elements while dimming others so they can give the impression of being brighter.
No disrespect but why would I use a PS5 here when I have a pc? And please acknowledge that the video before had videos and movies on it that was just yesterday. Why does this comment seem like I haven’t made a comparison with movie or video?
I think people are brainwashed by OLED marketing. Judging by this video alone, the Bravia looks much better and more accurate. I need to see this Bravia in person to make my decision but it looks like blows the A95l away. The G4 is a better tv than the A95 so that would have been a better comparison but that would be comparing $5000 OLED vs a $3500 mini LED. My biggest downside with the Bravia are the inputs. Other than that this looks like my tv of the year.
G4 trades blows with A95L, its is not at all by any stretch of a means an all around superior technology, it is however definitely a better tv than the G3, the G4, but it is still not a QD-OLED. This reply I had to leave at the mention of “G4 would have been a better comparison”, for a person that buys personally every flagship OLED every year to NOT get the G4, I think speaks a lot of volume.
I have both TV's I play PS5 and Series X games. I love both TV's but, imo the speakers on the 9 aren't better but, I'll test it more. Game mode does nothing with consoles. I think 9 and 95L both have nice screens. I set mine on vivid and Max brightness
Brother, i dont get why you are skipping over the hdr settings on each of the games. Its just as important to set the games hdr settings, just as important as it was for you to keep double checking that it was set to 4k resolution. Next videos, you gotta show the hdr settings for the game. For example, ghosts runs at 1k peak brightness, did you make sure peak brightness slider was max'ed so that it ouputs 1k? You know what i mean? Hdr isnt just set it and forget it... Also, try to show a game that runs at 4k peak brightness, for example cyberpunk. But then the a95l will clip, it cant do 4k nits. Youre going to need 2 seperate PCs to really show this off. 1 pc to the a95l, in game hdr sliders set to 1500 nits. 1 pc to the b9, in game hdr sliders set to 4000 nits.
Of course I know what you mean, probably one of the most PC centric TV guys in US on TH-cam. 1. I am not running 2 pc one to each of these TVs, I explained this on the video expectations. One pc runs to the receiver and out of it to each tv. You can’t run HDMI to each tv from the pc because whatever that is seen as display one will be different than two, I’ve had experience with this years ago doing C2 vs S95B. So your mention of “pc 1 and pc2” not gonna happen. The basis of this video like all others comparing the two will be same settings. There is no way to govern each panel its own settings from the software because the game will read for the receiver as the monitor. For these reasons mentioned above I will not be able to comply. Now if I were filming them separate that would be possible but you know what the issue would be, they wouldn’t be identical in comparison. If you can find me a person on YT that has done what you’re suggesting with a pc, a receiver and two TVs then please show me.
@@AllAboutTKK The Receiver is just passing through the video signal from the PC though. So if you tweak settings for in game HDR and windows 11. Yes it would have an effect. It's still just 1 PC. The reality is in game Destiny where you reacted strongly how much better the A95L was. You didn't change whatever HDR setting was calibrated from whatever last TV you used it on before these TVs. The B9 can hit 2800-2900 nits. So setting in game HDR nits peak for that and tweak the "black floor/white paper" as well for shadow detail blackness has meaning. The Windows 11 HDR calibration much the same way. And then finally A95L was in brightness preferred which throws out all accuracy and just blasts brightness and EOTF lifts it. All that said the A95L might still look the best. But if you truly set it up for the B9, at least you would see maybe some changes in the HDR look. Because the B9 looked so different there. Like it was in SDR mode and capped. Not your doing. But the game and Windows 11. Of course using one PC you have to choose which one it would "favor". But since you are showing off the B9 and we know the A95L is already great and OLED black etc, it would most likely just clip with B9 settings. But the rest be similar. But the B9 might miss out a lot with being set at whatever OLED settings you might have on that 3080 PC. Just some food for thought. Love the comparisons. Keep em coming it's awesome.
At 27:05 it could be the brightness preferred having an impact since it is on for the A95L. It's not as much about "picture settings" as it is about HDR calibration of the game and windows 11. Then again you do have brightness preferred on for the A95L. It will have some impact. Frankly it doesn't even look like HDR is almost on with the B9 in comparison here. Please don't make a definitive statement as "destiny looks better on an OLED" if you have the settings in game etc not set up. Can't be for both. That said, yes it might be it looks best on an OLED. But there is no reason why the B9 should fall flat unless there is something causing it. If you know what I mean. Do the HDR calibration in game settings and see if it changes please. It needs investigation. Don't forget you're in HDR and the TVs do not have the same nit capability so there is an in game setting for HDR and nits/black level etc . The one with the three images side by side. which is it set for? If it set for A95L then the B9 is knee-capped a bit. I bet is something you might not have realized and overlooked. Because on screen the A95L looks lifted a lot but also showing more brightness. It's confusing to be honest. Try it out to tweak it all for the B9 just to see if it makes it better. The A95L should still be fine, maybe clip the Highlights a little more. A tip also is to use "windows HDR calibration app" from Windows store to tweak each TV to be "calibrated" for colors and highlights. Something that maybe you did on the PC you are testing on but obviously for one of your OLEDs. Not for the B9. That means HDR is not going to show the same or the "best possible way" on the B9. Sadly you can't tweak it for both and have to choose one TV over the other. If you set all parameters for the B9 at least you could see what it would look like it might not be optimal for the A95L. But I feel the B9 is the one that needs to be shown. The A95L we already know is fantastic. But that is a suggest I think you could try. Also in game HDR setting in Destiny 2 also matters and again each TV has different capabilities.
Wow, one second into this video where you got the ocean and the other half of the video showing Little Rocky area a95l is just kicking butt the B9 can’t do nothing with that. B9 gonna get super bright but when I’m watching TV I turn the brightness down because it’s too bright when I’m playing a game or watching a movie
B9 for me..play your games not using gamemode and get the best out of your tv man, mess around with live color and contrast enhancer, you can littlerally make it look much more impactful if you don't use recommendations from so called reviewers
Thanks for the comparison. LCD TVs have more advantages than OLEDs in my opinion. You can even see that in this comparison. OLED TVs cannot display true white. The details in bright areas are also lost with OLEDs. And on top of that, OLED TVs and monitors flicker disgustingly, so that after a while my eyes hurt, at least mine. But with the Sony 9 you have to adjust the brightness so that the highlights on the bright areas are not ruined. So you have to find the balance.
You're doing comparisons everyone is looking for but can't find, nice job!
Thank you.
No contest, A95L looks fantastic, QD OLED was always going to be superior...
Agree but, console gaming in darker areas I prefer Bravia 9
Probably the most anticipated comparison of the year. TKK bringing this content is huge.
Still prefer contrast and color on the A95L. You always take care of your PC gamers
Definitely! The extra colors in the blue of the water and additional contrast on your desktop picture on the A95L sold me . The extra contrast in the A95L also made the most difference to me in the games- gave them a rich 3D look over the B9 Very nice TV but no OLED killer...yet"
You prefer that pink look?
One word, “richness”. The Oled giving you the contrast of a pure black to color adds so much richness to the picture. Oled is more defined and motion looks buttery.
bravia 9 can push highlights and details further for sure. They have their differences and both look great. Another good video brother TKK
Thank you!
The HDR content is much appreciated.
A comment from my brother is even more appreciated! Thank you.
Slightly more drawn to a95l colours but just slightly, both look amazing
Why? The sky looks purple on the A95L and blue and white on the Bravia 9 like it should. I have owned both TVs and I can tell you the Bravia 9 is the clear winner!
@@vacguy77 is that not just the camera
Currently loving my Bravia 9 75 inch.
A slight increase to black level and the colors look more solid and overall pop!
Congrats I’m hearing good things about B7
Also, the phenomenon you were experiencing with destiny 2 is due to a raised EOTF.
4:22 of the video
A95l, default as it maybe, you had it on brightness preferred.
B9, you had it on gradation preferred.
That is 2 completely different EOTF profiles for HDR.
With the HDR games, you were looking at a artificially brightness boosted image on the a95l.
Good ass catch. Thank you.
See this is what I’m talking about, each one teach one!
it's more than that.
@@AllAboutTKKcan you do a quick video comparison in the future of brightness preferred to gradation preferred?
The production level of this review is top-notch.
Thank you bro, a brother trying.
A95L presents a crisper image, more vibrant colors and to my eye has a more 3D like effect to the images.
Because everything is running through the receiver this was the best I could do in my setup.
glad I bought the 65A95L last month when it was on sale for a few days for under $2900.
Thank you.
Is local dimming set to high? Did u see any blooming ever on HUDs?

2023's best TV still suffers from black crush. If people are going to complain about off angle blooming than we need to acknowledge black crush.
In these demonstrations.. the Bravia 9 is the clear winner. Brighter, more details in the highlights and more details in dark scenes.
Great comment.
Sup TK, awesome content. Tech Gaming Villa and Awesome Tech Gaming Pro are using your bravia 9 videos on their channel. Confused me at first but i believe you're the original creator.
Yes I seen thank you, at least I was given credits in the description. So I have no issues.
Thank you.
TKK thank you for this amazing comparison video.
I liked the vertical comparison + HDR rendering + excellent commentary
by far the best comparison no doubt
finally, I can make a purchase decision after seeing this Video.
For me still OLED superior, I am getting the G4.
It's like you getting the full version of the picture with OLED vs a limited version with LED.
It's like 4k vs 1080p
this video you done was extremely helpful thanks again TKK.
Thank you and sorry for the delayed reply. Normally much faster at getting to supporting comments.
Agreed.
Micro led when prices come down should be the best of both.
The bravia9 is crazy
The fact Bravia 9 comes that close is impressive. I would only pick it for reasons outside of picture quality, e.g. sunlight hits the screen, or I'm afraid of burn-in (but LEDs can fail too), or I want to watch/play SDR at max brightness for a long time with no dimming.
Facts.
The colors just pop on the A95l.
I've only gamed on Samsung QD OLED, and I preferred it to any other LED I've ever tried.
Once you experience QD, it's hard to go back.
Good job TKK
Thank you!
Cheers, eh!
I would imagine with the use of ice in NHL, the more pure the white the better.
And yes something that can be adjusted.
Its the limitations of nature of LCD panel, it just cant match QD-OLED’s rich color and infinite contrast.
@@ElGruesobro, both panels settings were set the same despite being two very different technologies, they were clearly being held back from their best. This is not a good comparison.
Thanks bro. At 3.20 its an easy win for the B9 for me!
I think the B9 has earned the right for you to cop the 85 inch and re do this comparison😊
Bingo. Just waiting for the inventory.

I like the top one better. Is that QD-OLED?
Curious what you’re using for in game peak brightness settings since the Bravia 9 has a higher peak brightness I feel like the b9 could perform better if you set brightness for it. But I get it’s hard to compare then.
Setting the brightness any higher destroys camera. Tv is very very bright!
@@AllAboutTKK fair yeah. Gaming is one of the few areas where you can actually get content that goes up to the rated brightness of these new minileds. I’m curious what proper 4000 nit gaming would be like. but fair enough recording that properly would be impossible
How is the VRR Flicker on the B9 65" ? Thank you for the content as always!
Curious about this as well. It’s usually inherent to just OLEDs. Would love to see VRR in a dark game like Alan Wake 2.
VRR flicker is an issue with OLEDs only. Thats why I got rid of mine and I’m in the market for the Bravia 9 or similar tv.
@@luism8130 Not true, my Sony Miniled X95K 65" flickers like there's no tomorrow in VRR mode. I've been recently interested in ADS Pro panels such as the Hisense U8N 75", those should not flicker and are good for PC gaming.

I'd like to see COD: Modern Warfare 3 compared as it runs at 4K, 120 Hz and HDR.

Have you shared the details of your sound system on your channel? Looks to be Klipsch. I bet it sounds awesome.
Yes sir, all Klipsch. There is a video of it.
Nowhere I was like damn brightness is so great on B9. If anything highlights still present better on OLED.

That is unfortunate.
Knew which tv was which before you started talking. The highlights on the Bravia 9 are showing just how big of a deal peak brightness is and how that affects color luminance and gamut. Also, the A95L looks very magenta in the video... Is it that way IRL?
Seeing two different panels next to each other you do notice it but the camera is taking it a little further.
The A95L looks brighter but it’s also blown out. HDR tone mapping is out of whack on during the Destiny 2 comparison.
Thank you for displaying this on PC hardware instead of consoles
You’re welcome.
@@Swecan76 This is a great point.
No, that’s not a natural defect.
It would be cool to see some of the darker scenes notoriously dim episode of game of thrones, Season 8 episode 3 "The Long Night"
Maybe the following current upload from today helps?
Watch and see how great Sony’s QD-OLED tv will be next year
B9 beats out any Oled in hdr presentation. The bigger sizes make a huge difference
I think Bravia 9 deserves max backlight on hdr content to fully show the benefits over oled…great video other then that
Yeah well good luck finding videos in real time with anyone that owns both and will post such. I did the best I could and I think was a good enough showing. Respectfully.
is it possible to compare the star wars movie
to see if the bravia9 handles well like the oled?
For sure not. I know as much because I just tried that with recording today for a video to post tomorrow.
Why does the 65 inch TV on the bottom look larger than the one on top?
Because it’s it from of the 77”, to give it a 3-D look to be closer in size for the camera.

Bad comparison, you changed the brightness settings on A95L but left the bravia 9 at stock? Maybe a mistake in your testing methodology. Just realized your more settings were mismatched too.. do you work for Samsung lol?
You might need some help to understand. The Bravia 9 is brother at 30 than the A95L at max, turning it up causes the camera to clip which means you get no video.

Good morning king 👑 ❤
Did you get serviced by Papa K?
Both amazing tv but my pick still goes to oled🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think it’s his settings. I have the 75inch now waiting on the 85inch and it’s a completely different picture
Don't forget you are taking about last year's panel on the A95L, they have not upgraded their flagship...
Last year but technically not a year.
I wonder if we'll see a TV from Sony that blends the strengths of both these TV's into a super-TV :)
@fullhd5277Can it hit 800-1,000 nits full window? Cause that’s the only thing that would improve the A95L.
Bravia 9 is better IF you want a brighter screen while console gaming which I do. For that reason if I could I'd buy another Bravia 9.
👍🏻
Thanks.
Where is the ps5 and movies. Like most popular ones. Shown .more about the blooming and brightness. Like your content ✨️
B9 is great looking tv but I’m drawn more to 95l colors
I have both TV's I play PS5 and Series X games. I love both TV's but, imo the speakers on the 9 aren't better but, I'll test it more. Game mode does nothing with consoles. I think 9 and 95L both have nice screens. I set mine on vivid and Max brightness
On vivid with max brightness is also how I play. Does this make you shoot slower in FPS games on the B9?
Very close!
But being honest, LCD will never compare to MLA OLED or QD OLED..
Sony are just taking the pee calling the bravia 9 a flagship TV..
Dude you are obsessed. Do you personally have an investment in OLED tech? Are they paying you? Because you’re going pretty hard man lol.
B9 looks better. 💯
Thank you for the intel, much appreciated whenever I can be taught.
Man you can see the blooming even in these TH-cam videos, just cant do it. I'm gonna stick to the 83" G4

Wow, one second into this video where you got the ocean and the other half of the video showing Little Rocky area a95l is just kicking butt the B9 can’t do nothing with that. B9 gonna get super bright but when I’m watching TV I turn the brightness down because it’s too bright when I’m playing
a game or watching a movie
B9 for me..play your games not using gamemode and get the best out of your tv man, mess around with live color and contrast enhancer, you can littlerally make it look much more impactful if you don't use recommendations from so called reviewers
I don’t know what I would like in real.
What do you mean?
A95L winner by all so far!
A95L superior
A95l wins ❤❤
I have to roll with the oled.
