I totally agree ... I kinda wish they'd make something with a unique control scheme though like a trackball or steering wheel ... must of this stuff I can already do with my phone, an emulator, and a Bluetooth control stick.
Oh I hear ya Mark, trust me. I was in a TV shop a year ago and asked the guy working there "can I see one of those 4K TV's everyone's talking about?" and the guy just pointed next to me and said "you're standing right next to one" .... my old eyes just can't see good resolution anymore either.
@@DowntheRabbitHole0 I don't expect it to be Williams hard or anything, but I definitely want to decrease the frequency of extra lives and make the positions at which Ralph drops bricks a little less predictable

This is an interesting contrast to the Genesis port, which I actually found gets a little too hard too fast. Would be nice to get a bit more milage out of a play through. I guess the sweet spot is right in between the two.
Yup I remember your review of the Genesis version and I have to say, other than this minicade tossing out tons of extra lives it is a very good arcade experience ... highly recommended
Hmmm mine came with batteries already installed and haven't had to be replaced yet but when I look at the battery cover I do see a screw holding it in place so the answer is yes.

I loved your Fix-It Felix, Jr. videos! I kind of went down the rabbit hole on these myself. I have the Basic Fun mini too, and it's only after viewing your videos and digging around that I've finally decided the version of the game it uses is based on the Flash game (which I can't get to work in any of my browsers): th-cam.com/video/yC9T6jaddtQ/w-d-xo.html. You also might like to know that the arcade game (same as the PC version you reviewed) is now available on the AtGames Legends Ultimate arcade machine as well as the AtGames Legends Flashback, which I largely bought just to play an officially licensed version of the arcade game on my TV. I do also have the full Android version of the mobile game (which I fortunately bought when it was released), if you'd like me to try to capture some video of that sometime for a complete comparison.

But full of small things that keep it from being great. A little hard to see, way too imbalanced to the point the game has to give you extra lives by the dozen, and a few other little troubles. Unfortunate since I love the concept but its execution leaves much to be desired
I just got this mini arcade yesterday, and I. am. SO addicted! I've been playing it for hours, it's so much fun!
it's pretty awesome, I wish they tweaked the gameplay ever so slightly but it look amazing on the shelf

I do find that the main trapping of versions of this game is that they end up being too easy, hope to fix that in my version
fingers crossed ..... the Arcade rom that we can play on the AtGames Flashback is pretty close to a good challenge level if slightly too easy

Also I'm totally implementing the ability to fix two panes at once while invincible, will probably also add a speed increase like the "arcade version"
