Hey new hear to hunting in Maryland. Not trying to steal your spot. Just wondering if you had to reserve that duck blind on public land or were you using a Friends blind on private land. Any tips would be helpful. Maryland is super confusing with blinds and stuff.
This is a private spot. Luckily, Maryland has a lot of public land to waterfowl hunt on. The better spots are on the eastern shore, but there are opportunities throughout the state. I would recommend going on the Maryland DNR website and going through their public hunting webpages
Yall that is not even a hen gadwall shew that's scary lol need to brush up on your duck identification. It's a hen mallard probably a farm duck. Not even a black duck

I know this is late but everyone be careful hunting this season and never go alone!
What kind of camera are you filming with
Black duck/ mallard
Not sure if this is possible, but it looks similar to a hen spoonbill. Maybe it’s a crossover with mallard and Spoonbill genetics. 🤷♂️
I agree
Why not drop the geese
That’s a gadwall man
what brand is that call
That’s a hen mallard pintail hybrid with the green on the wings

That was a hen mottled duck
No, they look much different in color and feather pattern . Also much smaller and thinner feather content.
It’s a Modeled duck
Mottled duck have a lot of blueish purple on their wings. It’s definitely a hen gadwall without a doubt.
Idk that’s farrr north for a modeled duck
@@leroybrown2795absolutely not a gadwall
Nope much different compared to a mottled duck. Seems to be a hybrid with either a spoony or a gadwall.
