I read somewhere that Disaronno actually doesn't have any almonds in it and that it's main flavour ingredient is apricot kernels

That’s true, many amaretto recipes use all sorts of fruit cores and pits, some also infuse raw almonds

Love Metallica, my favorite band! Can’t believe this was that easy…. I’m almost out and won’t buy a new bottle…. I feel you get me to use up a lot of brandy…

I definitely go through a lot of brandy! Especially for infusions

Dang, that’s like the easiest liqueur you’ve ever made. The coffee is an interesting touch. Cheers!

You’re probably right! Technically the caramel liqueur had less ingredients but it does involve heating sugar to the same temperature as the sun so there’s a hazard element to it 🤣🔥🔥

Ah amaretto, one liqueur I tend to not favour. Not sure why. Like your idea of the coffee as well to be fair that is all I use amaretto for

Absolutely! Most of my homemade liqueurs are shelf stable! Only exception is those with cream

I messed up, I put all the suger and water in one bottle, so I just added another 350ml of brandy and doubled it up with almond and vanilla.. 😂 Just under 2ltr now

Yes but the flavor profile is almond/marzipan so this is a cheater version using almond extract! It literally taste the same!

Putting the recipe proportions in the description would be nice. Just watched and already forgetting…..1.5 cups of Brandy/Vodka 1 cup of the simple syrup, 2 tsp of Almond Extract 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract half teaspoon of instant coffee………… brain just went hmmmmmmm Brandy plus Davinci Amaretto Coffee Syrup might work. Davinci Amaretto Coffee Syrup is essentially simple syrup and Amaretto flavor. To the Liquor store!!!!!
