    Excellent video! We do recommend enabling 'EFX' in your Audio settings though to ensure the in-cab sounds are as they should be. When not enabled, the motors are too loud in the cab as shown here.
    Keep up the great work though!

      Thanks for the comment, AP! I didn't realise that with the EFX, but will turn it on for the future. It was originally turned off due to sound problems with a certain train, and I've just never remembered to turn it back on.
      Thanks again. I do love your products, and make sure to feature them regularly on this channel so others can get to enjoy them, and hopefully purchase a copy for themselves. :)

    I drive class 43 for East Midlands trains and this AP sound pack is very good.
    Only thing i notice is the delay between pushing notch and hearing the reaction is a little long.
    Great video PGT.

    Its cool to see that British Videogame makers are making these routes because i enjoy watching them and i think you are an amazing conductor. I see that there are more Chinese routes coming online and in the next several years i hope to see alot more of these. Its sad the rest of Europe and Japan doesn't have many of their real routes. There is so much train construction going on in the wolr in 10 years it will be interesting to see if Turkey and India (witch has many routes on youtube but they are horribly done) make many new amazing routes.

    Hey mate. Just wanted to mention, Thameslink sent their 387s to Great Northern, and also there is a 700 slowly being developed for the game by Superalbs (which is incredible).
    I was quite ashamed that of the three packs, the VP185 HST Pack from AP is the most inaccurate. It's the best engine of the three and got such a poor representation and can hardly be used thanks to such little coverage of the MML in the game

    Hi mate.great video pal.the class 43 is one of my favourite tractions as is the deltic class 55.your videos are so detailed of what the traction your driving at the time and location plus signals are spot on. The best vids of yours I like the most is the class 142's 43's 37's and 156.dont get me wrong I love all your videos but these I like most of all.great job mate and looking forward to more

    On the VP185's, when placing the power on Notch 1 there's no sound to the engine. The engine revs and produces it's noise from Notch 2 onwards. Please kindly explain. Thanks.

      well, in real life the would be a slight gargle to the engine but the rpms wont rise because in notch 1 the engine just spins the generator but doesn't produce enough power to get the train moving at any kinda speed. so in N 2- N 5 the engine will then rev progressively to give more power. so basicly the engine gargles due to the extra load :) So its basicly using the engine's ide momentum to produce a small amount of amount of power. (Like the Shunt setting on an EMU). hope this helps... feel free to get back to me if you have any other questions regarding trains :) p.s. please check out my channel for more train sim and train vids :) Have a great day and i really hope this helps you out :) Regards, Clifford :)

    • @TheRagingWookie
      @TheRagingWookie 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      + Matthew Gorres
      Yh, it basically uses the engines idle speed to give a "shunt" level of amps from the generator :) hope this helps :) Have a great day :) ,Clifford :)

    • @HSTVP185
      @HSTVP185 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Clifford Roe
      Understood.
      As for example, on the Armstrong Powerhouse VP185 Enhancement pack, placing Notch 1 the sound remains the same as in idle only the amps increase slightly and the train begins to move. Only on Notch 2 or above, you have a hump or gargle sound then a 10 second delay followed by the growl of the engine applying power. Is this correct or is it different in real life?
      Thanks.

    • @TheRagingWookie
      @TheRagingWookie 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      not to sure why, but it is defently realistic. It only happens on Vp185's but no idea why :)
      Hope this helps, have a great day, Cliff :)

      @RazordraacGaming 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Notch 1 is purely using the idle power of the engine to generate power for the traction motors (as with a big engine there's a lot even at low RPM). Somewhat like the tickover on a diesel car when you put it into first - the RPM is the same as idle - if you don't apply accelerator but there's still enough power to move at a slow speed.

    Question, PTGRail: I'm interested in the Trainworks upgrade packs myself, but I am concerned by rumors I've heard that said packs tend to break existing scenarios on the routes they are applied to. If that is true then I will likely not bother as having working scenarios is more important to me than the visual upgrade. Is there truth to these rumors and if so is there any fix for scenarios that are broken by the upgrades?

    • @LEVELCROSSING225
      @LEVELCROSSING225 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      sirrliv I have the upgrades and apart from a minuscule drop in FPS the scenarios all still work for me.

    Been really enjoying watching these videos, they have re-ignited my enjoyment of train sim 2017. Need to get some new routes as well. Which of these 3 would you recommend out of North London route, Liverpool-Manchester or Midland Mail Line London-Bedford please, can't afford to get all 3 in one go ? I enjoy mostly UK routes, both local with lots of stops as well as the express routes with less frequent stops using hst trains. Would like to get the Class 390 train as well but can't see many routes/scenarios that use it to warrant the purchase. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to make and upload these videos :)

    • @tomp6792
      @tomp6792 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well the North London Line is stopping-services only, and the fastest you’ll go is 45 mph, the Liverpool-Manchester route is stopping and regional semi-fast services, and the Midland Main Line is both stopping and express passenger. All of those routes are fairly short and linear, but if you own the Brighton Mainline and South London Network routes you can download Danny’s merged route from the workshop if you get the MML, and if you get the Liverpool-Manchester route, providing you also own the WCML Over Shap route, you can download the South Lancashire and North Cheshire route, which is set in the 1980s.
