- A beaver swam right up to me! I went out for a beautiful nature photo walk with my Canon M50 & Canon 55-250mm STM Lens. Beaver is at 2:30.
It was an incredible sunset, orange reflection off the water, stunning moon. Then out of nowhere, a beaver just popped its head up and came towards me. In my previous video, I discussed how I wanted to photograph a beaver this year. The beaver was clearly listening and came to say hello. I couldn't believe what a magical evening it was. I was in awe that I didn't even care if I got a shot of the beaver because I was just in absolute amazement over this creature. For it being lowlight conditions (ISO was quite high) the photo ended up pretty decent. Still thinking about this day, it was a magical moment. I hope this inspires you to get outside, you never know what you might find.
Thanks for your support and hope you enjoy!

The orange reflection of the sunset on the water 😍 cutest lil beaver coming up to say hello 🥰
Soooo nice. All your shots were really good - but, those beaver shots were "over the top"! What a treat to get that close to one - that has never happened to me. Thanks for sharin!
Thank you. I completely agree. I’m surprised I even got a shot with it being so close, I was just in awe. Such a magical moment!
Nice images
Good to see that someone else is still using a Canon M series camera. I use the M6 mark II.
Thank you! Happy to hear that.
okay ... that is wonderful, thankU
Thank you! And thanks for watching :)
Wow🤩 you really got some stunning shots! The beaver one is amazing! If I took that photo, it would be on my wall! The M50 paired with that lens is a perfect combo! Have you ever used a CPF filter with that lens?
Thank you! It was an amazing moment and definitely will be framed. No I currently don’t own any filters which is wild, I know - planning on getting ND Filter and definitely Polarizer
Is that the “budget” 55-250? Those pictures are amazing!
Yes it sure is. Thank you!
This is so delightful!!!
Thank you!
nice nice... keep it up...
Thank you as always 🙏🏻
Did you actually filmed and photographed everything with canon eos m50??? WOW
I sure did!
@@shaydlens Do you recommend the canon 70d for beginners photography?
These are amazing shots and I do love the 55-250mm! Are you using the same camera for still shots and video clips?? They’re all look so beautiful!
Thank you! Yes they are with the Canon M50 for the shots and video :)
👍👏👏👏👏👏🙋
This is nice
Thank you!
Great shots! Just wondering the that is the viltrox adaptor or the viltrox speed booster? Thanks
Thank you! Just the viltrox adapter
Just got Tamron 18-200mm M mount today, got simillar result
Awesome! I’ve heard good things about the Tamron as well
I bought a replacement mount plate to use this same lens with a speedbooster for low light use. It worked for a while. The aperture range increased from f2.8 to f4. It was so gratifying. However, my m50 now doesn't recognize my lens anymore and I get a F00 always. Very disappointing. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with either the speedbooster or my lens as they work with other cams and adapters 😢
Sorry to hear that! You should take it in to a camera store and get them to take a look. Frustrating for sure when stuff like that happens, hopefully a solution comes up 🤞🏻
@@shaydlens thank you. I will follow your suggestion
The speed booster does not work with EF-S lenses, it only works with EF's. What you need is a EF/EF-S to EOS M lens adapter. I got mine from amazon for $40. I use the same setup and It works awesome! I hope this helps.
@lelouchdacat I have that adapter too. I was trying out the speedbooster for low light situations and as stated, it worked for a while. And it was awesome while it worked
On EF-S mount lenses, the mount extends further out and comes into contact with the Speed Booster's optics. But it would be awesome if there is a way to lower the aperture of the 55-250mm lens!
beautiful shots and beautiful you
Woow! I’m looking for a good lens for nature walks exactly like that! Landscapes, animals and plants are so fun to picture.
Just one question… What is the exact adapter that you use? I see there are multiple viltrox adapter types (very different prices too…), not sure which is the best for nature pics like that!
Thank you😊
Thank you! I use the EF EOS M Viltrox Adapter. If you actually just type in Viltrox Canon M50 Adapter on Amazon it will come up
@@shaydlens Thank you very much!
what type of adapter do you use?
