"The last real fighter". Very telling how fighter pilots can be loyal to their mounts. Similar to USN F-8 pilots who'd proclaim, "When you're out of F-8's, you're out of fighters". Great interview Mike. A really fascinating subject in Anil.
I saw one at PAF museum Karachi and I was amazed how small it was. Also I have heard many stories by PAF pilots saying that it was so small in the Air that it was difficult to pick out and when you were in a turning fight with it, it could out turn you. PAF pilots liked fighting the Hunter more than Ajeet due to Ajeet being nimble and not visible easily.
Excellent! Very articulate and affable speaker with some great 'war stories' on a type rarely described elsewhere. Life can be amazing. He must have been heartbroken when he was deemed medically unfit. But persevered, returned, and the rest is history! Inspiring story. Cheers!🇨🇦🍺🇨🇦🍺🇨🇦
Lovely Anil Sir. Thank you for taking me for a sortie on the Ajeet! I would love to give an interview on flying the Mi-35! How does one get in touch with the producers??
Superb! Loved the part about feeling like Superman when strapped into the Ajeet. Though I am not an aviator I have sat in the cockpit of an Ajeet in Srinagar. The Flying Bullets squadron if I recall.
Enjoyable and interesting, I would like to hear more about flying the Ajeet. I guess his hours were lower because the range of the Ajeet was short and it would be interesting to hear more about this. How did it perform against the Hunter and other IAF types.
A rare interview indeed which is so refreshing to listen to. What a gentleman of a pilot. I wish the channel, the presenter and the gentleman pilot all good wishes and look forward to more such interesting interviews. A big Thank You is in order. A
It has been like 2-3 montha aince you last announced of an interview with iaf personnel. I almost gave up hope thinking that you ditched the idea of uploading this particular interview
I'm really struggling to listen with the buzzy audio on this one. Not sure what your setup is for recording these but might be worth recording the interviewee's audio on their end rather than over a call and/or applying some filters to clean it up a bit. I know it doesn't bother everyone, but I find it too distracting and I'm sure I'm not the only person.
Unfortunately as mentioned in the description (if you looked) Anil had static on his end and this was cleaned up as much as possible in the edit. As I have mentioned before, when you conduct online interviews you can’t control their setup ie pc/laptop/mic/headphones you have to work with what they are using.
*Side Note*
Unfortunately, the audio on Anil's side had some interference, but I ensured I could get rid of as much as possible in the edit.

I love how this channel finds gems like Anil. He is amazing and such a warm and interesting subject.
What a fabulous interview…. completely unexpectedly one of my favourites. You must have this gentleman back again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Glad you enjoyed it!
That flag 🤣😂
Excellent interview. Always interested in the aviation history and aircraft of India. 🇮🇳
Thanks Mike.
Fighter pilots dream. Finnish Gnat pilots tell same. Ajeet was a license built Gnat, a great fighter.

Another brilliant interview, loved listening to Anil. Wonder if he found out what caused his aircraft to malfunction when he had to eject?
Cheers Matt.
Brilliant interview. No problem with the sound quality.
Cheers.
This is great! Nice change from the usual aircraft we hear of more often. More!
Cheers Karl.

Fabulous sir! Loved every moment of the interview ! Can’t wait for part two !
Glad you enjoyed it!
So did I.
@@timolustig412 Me too. Haven't heard much about the Ajeet other than it was indeed a pilot's aircraft.
was waiting when you were going to conduct interview for IAF pilots!!! Thank you

Thanks you.
Kindly keep such interviews going at regular intervals.
Very interesting to hear how the Gnat had a new lease of life with the IAF and the improved Ajeet.
Pakistan's sabres were slayed by it....which shocked the world
A very good and nice interview. 👍
Cheers. Glad you enjoyed it.

Too bad they didn’t put a Matra Magic missile under an Ajeeth.
