There’s an old saying in the computer field: garbage in garbage out, meaning that the data that you get out of a program is only as good as you put into it. My biggest concern with AI is that we may be relying too much upon these programs that could have corrupted algorithms!

There is a possibility that AI could surpass the human brain in certain areas, such as processing speed and data analysis, but it is not yet clear whether AI can fully replicate the complexity and nuances of human thought and consciousness.
As for replacing jobs, there are several ways to address the issue. One approach is to focus on upskilling and reskilling the workforce, so that people can transition into new roles that require skills that cannot easily be replaced by AI, such as creativity, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking.
Another approach is to invest in social safety nets and policies that support workers who are displaced by automation. This could include things like job training programs, unemployment benefits, and wage subsidies.
Ultimately, the key is to ensure that the benefits of AI are widely shared, and that the costs and risks of automation are distributed fairly across society. This will require a combination of policy, regulation, and public dialogue to ensure that AI is used in ways that promote the well-being of all people.

Will AI programme AI by themselves? Will AI engineers all morally responsible?

    • @RodCornholio
      @RodCornholio 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. Not much.
Eventually, AI will seem to be at fault for someone's death. There is a similar analogy to the people who have died for following incorrect navigation software.
Current AI, of the GPT variety - not General Intelligence - , has already shown to have emergent capabilities that were completely unknown and unexpected. If something immoral were to happen due to what is called an "unknown unknown", I don't think an AI creator can be judged.
Creators can be told to be responsible and "fix it", but if it is due to an emergent capability, that might be impossible*. And a very smart AI, one that has General Intelligence, agency, sentience, sapience, etc. could very likely be capable of concealing or deceiving where that capability is within its code. Thus, "fixing it" isn't possible** (without destruction).
*Based on reports of AI creators admitting they have no idea how it gained abilities it was never trained on.
** I predict that they will create "Dr. AIs and/or Warrior AIs" that are intended to fix other AIs who have problems. It is an inevitable evolution, since it is basically one computer fixing another. It will be a high speed mouse-vs.-mousetrap race which may not end well.

How do you teach AI empathy?

Teaching AI empathy is a complex task that requires an understanding of human emotions, cognitive processes, and social interactions. Currently, AI systems lack the ability to experience emotions or perceive the world in the same way that humans do, so they cannot simply be taught to empathize like humans.
One approach to teaching AI empathy is to provide it with data sets that include examples of emotional responses in humans, such as facial expressions, tone of voice, and body language. By analyzing this data, AI systems can learn to recognize and respond to emotional cues in humans.
Another approach is to design AI systems with more advanced natural language processing capabilities that can understand the context and meaning behind human language, including nuances in tone and intention. This can enable AI systems to respond to humans in a more empathetic manner.
However, it is important to note that while AI systems can be programmed to respond in ways that appear empathetic, they do not actually experience emotions or have the same capacity for empathy as humans do.

The issues surrounding AI and its potential impact on society are complex and multifaceted, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. However, some potential solutions include:
Regulation and oversight: Governments and regulatory bodies can establish guidelines and regulations to ensure that AI is developed and deployed in a safe and ethical manner.
Education and awareness: Educating the public and stakeholders about the potential benefits and risks of AI can help to foster understanding and support for responsible development and deployment.
Collaboration and transparency: Encouraging collaboration and transparency between AI developers, policymakers, and stakeholders can help to ensure that the development and deployment of AI is aligned with societal values and priorities.
Ethical design: Incorporating ethical considerations into the design and development of AI systems can help to mitigate potential risks and ensure that AI is used in a responsible and beneficial manner.
Continuous monitoring and improvement: Continuously monitoring and improving AI systems can help to identify and address any unintended consequences or negative impacts that may arise over time.
Ultimately, solving these issues will require a multifaceted approach that involves collaboration and cooperation between AI developers, policymakers, and society as a whole.

Jesus is coming soon. The Rapture.
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.Romans 10. 9-10
so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.Hebrews 9. 28

If people believe that AI is connected to the second coming of Jesus or other religious beliefs, it may be difficult to convince them otherwise. However, it may be helpful to provide information and education on what AI is and how it works, as well as the ways in which it is currently being used in society. Additionally, emphasizing the benefits and potential positive impacts of AI can help to shift the focus away from any perceived religious connections. It may also be helpful to encourage individuals to keep an open mind and consider multiple perspectives on the topic.

Street epistemology is a conversational method that aims to help people reflect on their beliefs, consider the reliability of their sources of information, and assess the strength of their reasons for holding a particular belief. It can be a useful tool for engaging in respectful and productive conversations about controversial topics, including the role of AI in society.
To use street epistemology, you could ask the person questions about their beliefs and try to understand why they hold them. You could also ask them to reflect on the reliability of their sources of information and the strength of their reasons for holding their beliefs. It is important to remain respectful and non-judgmental throughout the conversation.
By engaging in a respectful dialogue, you may be able to help the person recognize that their beliefs about AI and Jesus coming may not be based on solid evidence or reasoning. Ultimately, the goal is not to change the person's beliefs but to help them critically evaluate them and come to their own conclusions based on sound reasoning and evidence.

    • @HardKore5250
      @HardKore5250 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Street epistemology is a method for engaging in respectful and non-confrontational conversations with people about their beliefs. The goal is not to persuade or convince them to change their minds, but rather to help them reflect on why they hold those beliefs and how they arrived at them.
When it comes to discussing beliefs about AI and the Second Coming of Jesus, you could start by asking questions to better understand their perspective. For example, you could ask:
What do you believe about AI and its potential impact on society?
What do you believe about the Second Coming of Jesus and when it might happen?
What evidence or reasons do you have for holding those beliefs?
Have you considered alternative perspectives or evidence that might challenge your beliefs?
By asking open-ended questions and actively listening to their responses, you can help them reflect on their beliefs and perhaps even see them from a different perspective. It's important to remain respectful and non-judgmental, and to avoid trying to "win" the conversation or convince them that they're wrong. Instead, focus on helping them examine their own thought processes and reasoning.
